[CK's Art Post] New art added (May 25)
 

Hullo!

I haven't been drawing in awhile, and I've been trying to get back into the habit.

I am always open to critique, commentary, compliments, whatever! Redlines are welcome also. :)

I have two basic styles:

- A semi-chibi style influenced by Batman: The Animated Series and the I Dream of Jeanie opening animation. (I call this style my "nu" style.)

- A comic-book/manga-ish style with obvious roots in Disney, Archie comics, and whatever else I've pulled together throughout the years. XD;

::laughs:: If it makes you feel any better - I didn't try seriously learning to draw until I was about 17 years old. So I've only been a 'serious' artist the last ten years and I don't even work at it as hard as some artists I know. I'm sure if you put your mind to it, you'd be great. :3 (I say this entirely without having seen your work - I have no idea what level you're at now. XD )

@HotaruHoshi - Don't get depressed. XD Learn! Practice! Make faces at the screen. XD

I use a Wacom tablet and the program OpenCanvas to color... though I know that's not quite what you meant. XD But if you have a tablet and want the freeware version of OpenCanvas to play with, I can upload an event file of how I color - then you can see stroke-for-stroke how I color if you were really interested. XD;

@Arkeyla - I'll probably wait until after the software switch to open a commission slot or two. XD And it'll probably be auction type. :V Because I'm lazy and auctions seem easier for me to keep track of than a full-on shop. XD;;

But, yey! I have at least one person who'll at least look at the auction. \8D/

I know what you mean about saving your gold. @[email protected] I'm trying to save up for the next site-sponsored Event. XD

@Arkeyla - The tablet I use is the cheap Wacom Graphire 2 tablet... It was $99.00 USD new... which was in 1998 or so. XD; I'm sure you can find one cheaper than that now, at least used or refurbished. XD
