CK 07-19-2008 03:53 AM

Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster, Batman. I am so utterly nauseated right now (everyone in my family is feeling sick today :c ) so laughing this hard at you guys is terrible. XD;

EDIT: I've decided to write TWO stories. One that's completely badass and how I wish my life actually was, and one that tells everything like it really happened.

IT'S STORY TIME

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a man. His name was Gothar the Kickass. Gothar lived in the kingdom of Badassia, where buildings are made of money and flowers smell like bacon. At this time, there was to be a meeting of the most awesomest dudes in all the world. There would be good times, badassery, and bacon, craploads of bacon! Gothar gathered his things (which were all badass) and set off on a mighty journey on his rocket-powered bear-tank. He traveled for many days and nights, occasionally destroying planets by flexing his bicep lazer while he hunted herds of T-Rex. Gothar reached his first stop and was joined by a company of badass cyborg warriors. He continued along the second leg of his badass journey and the party was attacked by a mighty lazer, cyborg dragon. The other cyborgs had run away because they were not as badass as was required to fight lazer, cyborg dragons. The dragon destroyed the rocket-powered bear-tank by throwing it into the lazer sun. Gothar the Kickass used his mighty atomic, lazer sword to kick the dragon's ass, but destroyed his sword in the process. He then climbed Mt. Everest for fun, destroyed it for being "too damn tall", and attended the badass meeting. Gothar was the most badass of all who attended, and after he had had his fill of bacon-covered bacon, he decided to destroy the kingdom where the meeting was held because he felt like it. Then he went back to Badassia and punched the lazer sun to stop global warming.

You remind me strongly - incredibly strongly - of one of my best internet friends (female, mind you). You made me miss her very much, but I haven't talked with her in a few months and she never answers email, so it's down to me being able to catch her on AIM, which I never seem to be able to do anymore. :B

This friend of mine looks like Lucy Lawless and wants to name any son she has "Tyranosaurus Rex" because, she says, no one will mess with a kid named T-Rex. XD (It's very difficult to tell if she's serious about anything, but since she's mentioned it a few times, she probably is. XD )

Also - a VERY belated, "Yay, page 200!"

Hahaa. XD (I don't know why variations like that amuse me - but they do. And this is how I react when I'm talking with someone from Australia or England and one or the other of us gets confused by a different term. XD; )

On a complete and odd aside - what do people in England call the room where they hang out in their house?

Americans tend to call it the "living room" ("den" being a term for a less formal, often old furniature type room) and Australians tend to call it the "lounge" (which to my American mind brings up either a swinger type room meant for drinking and making out or one of those sterile waiting room type areas...)

It's just something I've become randomly curious about at this particular moment. >_>;

EDIT: Cilit Bang?

The first bit made me laugh so hard I was nearly sick. ;___;

And I could never read that second part you edited in (from the very first) without removing a letter. I really cannot though I have tried. The internet must have perma-warped my mind. >_>;

There was something else I was going to comment on, but I can't remembre what it was... The only thing I can think of is, "Haha - back to Pokemon again!" but I don't think that's the only thing extra I was going to add. D:

Cherry Who? 07-19-2008 04:14 AM

Yeah, of course we've degraded back to pokemon!
We're hoffers. That's what we do.

And I hope you get well soon, CK! *hugness*

CK 07-19-2008 04:41 AM

::laughs:: Oh man - that deserves a quote. "We're Hoffers. That's what we do." is a great come-back for anything.

<Newbie> Why do you guys have these weird conversations all the time?
<Hoffers> We're Hoffers. That's what we do.

<Police> Why is there a guy in a Pokemon costume and six strippers in the back of this car?
<Hoffers> We're Hoffers. That's what we do.

And for an alternate version:

<Mom> Why haven't you cleaned your room?
<Hoffer> I'm a Hoffer, that's not what we do.

::hugs:: I'm sure I'll survive. XD; Unless we're being systematically poisoned, in which case I'll probably die first - but in so doing, save my family. :D

tentenpuff 07-19-2008 05:19 AM

I think it's called their drawing room? -could be so wrong-
>>;

Hiiiii everyone. xD
-hasn't been on in foreeeeeeverrrr-

Cherry Who? 07-19-2008 05:36 AM

CK - XDD
But why strippers?
Are they male strippers? Most of us are girls, afterall.

Tenten - Yay, you're back! :D *teh hugnes*

tentenpuff 07-19-2008 05:39 AM

@ Cherry:
:'D
-huggles-

Sort of. xD;
I'm back for tonight. >>;

Cherry Who? 07-19-2008 05:41 AM

Come back tomorrow! ;_;
And the next day! And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day! And the next day.

tentenpuff 07-19-2008 05:44 AM

...
xD;

I'll... try... XP; -has a lot of work to do-

Out of curiosity, is Garret Canadian? >>;

Cherry Who? 07-19-2008 05:50 AM

*puppy eyes* For me?

You mean Garret from my story? No, he's British.

tentenpuff 07-19-2008 05:55 AM

I'll try! xD
I have to write a paper tomorrow, though... And then I'm going to the movies with my friend...
And the day after that, my brother comes back from his music camp. xD
And then I have a project I have to do...
And I have to do research... lots and lots of research, and write four papers. T o T;

I didn't ask for this! D:

Well, except the movies part. xD
I was asked, but I willingly accepted. :D >>;

Oooohhhhh. xD
I was wondering why he kept going "Eh?" at the end of his sentences. >>;

Cherry Who? 07-19-2008 06:14 AM

Aww, busy week.
Well, I guess I can give you a break for your work. <.<

What are you going to see?

Ohh. XD Nah, it's just an odd thing that I hear him saying all the time. I actually have to tone down the way I "hear" him talk, otherwise almost every sentence would be a question, and it would be nearly impossible to read because of his accent. XD
He sort of sounds like.... Let me see if I can find the guy his voice is modeled off of.
Ah. Found it. This is what Garret sounds like, basically. Not what he looks like, but what he sounds like.
Simon Moon from Frasier
The first guy to talk.

He sounds a little bit different than that. But I have him in mind when I write Garret.
Sort of like what he sounds like in your head when you haven't heard him for a few months. XD

fiarra 07-19-2008 06:24 AM

Yeesh I leave for the night and come back to pages having passed.

I saw Dark Knight today and whoa geez it was amazing. So make a point to go see it!

Cherry Who? 07-19-2008 06:33 AM

I know the feeling. D:
Earlier I left for like, an hour and a half and missed three or four pages!

HIM_ROCK 07-19-2008 09:25 AM

Mixed gender strippers! We've got male strippers, female strippers, and cross-dressing strippers of each type!

Why? Because we're Hoffers. And that's what we do. XD

Auuuhuuh man... I'm really disappointed for having eaten my ticket for that movie! Maybe I'll watch it online since I did pay to see it in the theatres. I just didn't attend...

Then again, if I'd gone the night I had a ticket for, I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much 'cause I wasn't feeling great and, also, I hadn't seen "Batman Begins" so there probably would have been bits of "The Dark Knight" I wouldn't have 'got' so well, maybe... But I saw "Batman Begins" on FX the same night I had tickets, so now I have seen it! :B

roocee 07-19-2008 02:30 PM

Strippers....point me in that direction!!! LOL

I so want to see Dark Knight.

Melody 07-19-2008 04:01 PM

*points Roo to Secrets thread in the quest forum* XD

jellysundae 07-19-2008 04:21 PM

Tea and scones? *perks* fruit or cheese?

I don't have the mental faculties to respond to everything, other than..

Glad to be of service, Roo! Even if I do perplex at times :XD

CK, I call that room my living room, most people do I think, there's some class divide about calling it the lounge, you're meant to be frightfully common if you do that. But in all honesty it's more of an age thing. My Nan calls her's her lounge, everyone did a few decades ago, that or sitting room. Yep, really depends on what part of the country you're from, and how snobby your parents are/were.

No-one calls it a drawing room though, one of those would be in addition to a living room, and only used when you had company you wanted to impress. Let me see, that name came from it being a room to withdraw into after a meal or whatever, back in Victorian and Edwardian times when people had monstrous houses with a seperate room for every hour of the day pretty much :XD

Always fancied a breakfast room myself! Seeing as that's pretty much the best meal of the day, especially if it's served to you by a butler!

HIM_ROCK 07-19-2008 04:24 PM

THERE BE NO TOILET DUCK IN THE LOCAL SUPERMARKET!!!

Just thought you would all like to know that very important bit of information.

Now back to being very British pip-pip and all that.

jellysundae 07-19-2008 04:29 PM

Did you go looking for it specifically? lol

HIM must have had a bit of a thirst on :XD

HIM_ROCK 07-19-2008 04:33 PM

We needed some cleaning products and there was no Toilet Duck I was shocked and dissapointed...I wasn't looking for it specifically....honest!

jellysundae 07-19-2008 05:11 PM

Don't believe you!!

I'll tell you why there wasn't any, they saw you coming and got it all back in the stockroom sharpish :lol:

HIM_ROCK 07-19-2008 05:14 PM

Well they left the leaking bleach on the shelf along with all the other brands. They would take away the best brand.

jellysundae 07-19-2008 05:20 PM

Maybe you should shop online, under a pseudonym, so that they don't know that it's you?
