Flink 07-20-2008 11:29 PM

Flink's will never be "corrected." All she can do is take birth control to keep her cycle an actual "cycle." Watch her blood sugar since it also causes diabetes.

And find some way to lose weight. Since NOTHING works. x.x It also causes weight gain and a bunch of other unsightly things.

General Lee Outrageous 07-20-2008 11:31 PM

Yeah, I guess I've come to terms with it. Well, there's not really much else to do. It's not like I could ignore the problem or pretend it didn't exist. It's pretty damn obvious in certain situations that I am not like everyone else.

EDIT: I don't mean the symptoms went away, I meant that the imbalance no longer exists. Estrogen turns into testosterone, it was just slow for me. The effects of that imbalance when it was there have by no means gone away.

jellysundae 07-20-2008 11:33 PM

yep, some biological stuff is like curve balls from hell. I'm sorry that you guys got extra doses of crap to deal with on top of what the average human gets thrown at them.

General Lee Outrageous 07-20-2008 11:36 PM

"Extra crap" doesn't BEGIN to describe it. I won't go into details because I could talk until I died, but my plate o' life has multiple extra helpings of shit. Though, I do thank you for you sympathy and all.

Flink 07-20-2008 11:39 PM

Not-Lee, if you need someone to rant at about it. Flink'll gladly read the PMs. She may even complain to you about PCOS.

Flink's hasn't really come to terms with what it's done to her. x.x She hates her body because of it. XD

General Lee Outrageous 07-20-2008 11:41 PM

Maybe. I'm going to dinner in a short while. That's also probably when everyone will show up and make 10000000000 posts and then leave when I get back. >=(

jellysundae 07-20-2008 11:42 PM

Well, it's cold comfort I know, but at least you guys have genuine reasons to hate your bodies. Unlike the majority of total fakes out there.

 for both of you.

General Lee Outrageous 07-20-2008 11:44 PM

Danke!

Yeah, my other non-genetic gripes about my body I don't complain about. I just go to the gym and work on fixing it. Pretty much everything else is just a result of my own laziness.

jellysundae 07-20-2008 11:47 PM

Laziness is the cause of most people's gripes :XD

It's the main human disease, that and greed.

General Lee Outrageous 07-20-2008 11:49 PM

Well, it's not just laziness. The reason I haven't been to the gym in awhile is that it's at my school and during the summer, I don't go there. I have a legitimate reason! Once school starts up again, I'll get back into the swing of things.

Incidentally, the gym is another area affected by my "condition".

jellysundae 07-20-2008 11:52 PM

I'm too lazy to go to the gym, I can't use anything medical as an excuse either. i'm just a slob :XD

Oh, I'm too stingy too!

Flink 07-21-2008 01:17 AM

The gym would do Flink so much good. But it's an hour's drive away now. x.x

Cherry Who? 07-21-2008 01:19 AM

You can do plenty of exercises at home. ^^ It's free, and you can do it whenever you want.

Flink 07-21-2008 01:33 AM

Oh, that's where Flink's lazy comes in. XD

General Lee Outrageous 07-21-2008 01:50 AM

The gym's free because it's part of my school. The sports teams use it, mostly. I just go in after school days. As far as exercises go, there's not really a place to do them at my house.

Cherry Who? 07-21-2008 02:09 AM

Not-lee - You don't really need much room. You can do pushups standing up against a wall. I have very weak wrists, so normal pushups hurt them. But I can do them against a wall.
Just put your hands on a wall, take a few steps back, and do the normal pushup motions. They're not quite as effective as a normal pushup, so you need to do a few more to get the same results, but it works nicely.
And sit ups don't take much room.

General Lee Outrageous 07-21-2008 02:44 AM

My house doesn't have a lot of room and the area in which I reside (basement) lacks floorspace. Anything that requires standing is also an issue because I'm a giant.

Cherry Who? 07-21-2008 02:50 AM

How tall are you? Just out of curiosity.

roocee 07-21-2008 02:58 AM

LOL Jelly, I'm not necessarily too lazy to go to a gym but I really just can't afford it. Besides, I don't have all those cute clothes they dress in either.

General Lee Outrageous 07-21-2008 03:18 AM

6' 2"- 3" in that range. I haven't measured myself in awhile. Still growing, by the way, so that should be fun.

Cherry Who? 07-21-2008 03:30 AM

Ohhh. You're as tall as my boyfriend!
Stupid tall people. >> *is a tiny 5'4"*

General Lee Outrageous 07-21-2008 03:33 AM

Oh ho ho. Don't take it personally, but short people entertain me. I dunno why, but it's always funny. Kinda like seeing a bear on a unicycle.

Cherry Who? 07-21-2008 03:36 AM

XD Nah, I don't take it personally. I like being short.
Tall people can give us short people big, warm hugs, and pick us up, and we get to be SPUNKY!
When short people are sassy, they're cute and spunky. When tall people are like that, they're just a bitch. XD

General Lee Outrageous 07-21-2008 03:46 AM

True. I don't always laugh at short people, though. For my friend's birthday, I got all of our short friends to hunch over or crouch down for like 15 mins so she could see what it was like to be tallest. Also, my definition of short is being a millimeter or more shorter than me.

Cherry Who? 07-21-2008 04:29 AM

So I'm, like, a gnome to you, huh?
