XDD
For some reason the "I regret nothing" just really struck me as funny. XD The over dramatization of it, I guess. |
There hasn't been anything I've been able to contribute here for a couple of days, but I've been here. Just letting everyone know. So here ya go:

I've nothing really to contribute other than a bad teacher in an otherwise enjoyable or easy subject can be the most rotten thing in the world. :B I changed my major because of one. :B (And flunked out of the only English class I ever got less than a "B" on because of another.)
Have nothing much else to contribute other than this, referring to those sorts of teachers: |

fierra, I certainly hope HE gets fired :D That's just wrong. Sorry for my "she" reference earlier.
Love the pics!! |
Ah!! There's 3 I's in the Turkish language if I'm not mistaken, and they all mean something different. Got told about that one day by one of Lee's other coders who's ex-wife is Turkish.
It's been entertaining catching up in here, but I feel I've missed too much to contribute anything really. Let's see. I used to have an extremely "news reader" British accent, but 20 years of living in a rural backwater has taken a lot of the poshness out of it. The local accent here is practically inpenetrable, you find some old man whos family's lived in the same village for 5 generations and probably never set foot out of the county in all those years, they are seriously almost impossible to understand. I always used to say I hated the Texan accent, but maybe it's Jerry Hall and shows like Dallas that are to blame for that. Because Lee is from Texas and he has a really nice voice, very pleasant to listen to, and other Texans that I've spoken to don't have that annoying twang, or say Y'alllllll all the time. The British tourist stereotypes are embarrassing, but accurate depending on where you go, and how old the holiday makers are. If it's somewhere in the Mediterranean that does cheap package holidays then it is pretty much as HIM says, male drunken idiots in hideously loud shirts/shorts or football shirts and REALLY bad sunburn. Girls dressed like cheap hookers with all their flab hanging out. A week in Benidorm, is like a whole 7 days of Saturday nights out at home, and for anyone under 25 or so, that means getting totally wrecked, every single night, and making a complete tit of yourself. But you're showing up the entire country when you do it abroad, not just yourself ._. I dropped out of English Literature because the teacher was SO terribly boring and I honestly thought I'd die if I sat through another lesson. I love to read, and I though English lit. would be a subject I'd lap up, but because of him, it was the worst kind of tedium : / |
English Lit can be extremely boring unless you have someone that makes it fun and not dull and boring. That's not easy to find a teacher/professor that makes it fun.
Was it Lee's voice we heard explaining how to use the drawers in the inventory system? I really loved listening to it. I have a thing for voices. |
I'm pretty sure it was Ken. Ken was the one most active in the Beta forums, and plus, whoever it was didn't have a Texan accent. Sounded more Californian or something to me.
Maybe we should all record our voices. Since we're all talking about different accents and stuff. |
I don't think I have anything that can record my voice. XD I hate how I sound anyways...
|
Augh, I sound like a little kid in recordings.
xD |
Come onnnn~
I'll do it if someone else does! And if you guys will listen to it. I've seen "record your voice" threads on other places, and when I did it, no one listened to it, so it made me feel kind of silly. ._ . |
I'm away from my mic right now, but I will totally upload a sound clip if someone else does!
|
Don't you have to have a mic though to record your voice? I don't have one.
|
Yeah that was Kenny, Lee sounds very different to Ken, much softer, it's a smiley voice to if that makes any sense at all >.<
I always sound strange if I hear my voice when it's been recorded ._. |
I've heard your voice before Jelly when we were in conferences with Mo and bipper and ghostie. You still have an accent but a pretty one :D
|
So basically no one will do it. XD
Okay, nevermind. XD |
If I could figure out how to record myself, I'd do it. XD But I think the only thing I have that can record sound and connect to my computer is my camera.
I've never purposefully recorded a sound clip on it before, so it might take me a bit to figure out. ^^; EDIT: Well my next challenge was to find some place to upload it. XD Hopefully this works: http://media.putfile.com/Crappy-Audio-Recording Gah, I sound retarded. |
Damnit I have neither my camera with me, or my mic. I promise that tomorrow I will take a clip of my talking and post it for you all.
And your recording worked!! I don't think you sound retarded. The actual content is probably very similar to what mine is going to end up being. |
I should redo mine now that I know how to work things. XD I have a second recording of me yelling "Stop! Stop!" to the camera since it kept going since I hit the button twice.
Sadly I have nothing to say. =/ |
I'll do it. It'll just take a bit for a time when I won't wake anyone or have my mom question me for talking to myself. Probably in a couple of days or so.
In the meantime, I'll be taking suggestions as to what I should record. It can be anything as long as it doesn't involve screaming. Also, Ferra, you have a nice voice! |
You could sing a commercial jingle. :3
And thank you! XD I sound better than the last time I remember recording myself, but then again it was when I was still going through puberty. *awkward times* |
