Well, work on the site starts on Monday. When it's presentable and semi-functioning, I'll open her to a few select people. Then we'll use the site for awhile, trying out different ideas until we find a polished system that works. Once we do, it's open to the public.

Cherry Who? 08-24-2008 01:57 AM

AND I HALPED.

Sort of.
Not really.

General Lee Outrageous 08-24-2008 02:53 AM

But you will. I'll turn you into a Guinea Pig/Ox. Prepare for some major work ahead.

Cherry Who? 08-24-2008 02:57 AM

Be careful with that. o_o
Cherry is sort of... bossy, I guess.
Once I get into something, I get my own ideas, and as far as I'm concerned, they MUST be used because it's better than any other idea. >.<
I'm reeeaaally trying not to do that, but just... be careful, and don't be afraid to tell me that I'm being that way if I am. If I realize that I'm doing it, I can stop myself.

EDIT: Control freak is what you'd call it, I guess.

Now you have it right.

Cherry Who? 08-24-2008 03:14 AM

Such off. XD

CK 08-24-2008 03:26 AM

XD I know that of which you speak, Cherry. It's not so much that my ideas always "have" to be used, but unless someone suggests something I like better, I get attached to the idea. >_>;

Ferra 08-24-2008 04:08 AM

RPG? :0 What's this I hear! *totally wants in*

fiarra 08-24-2008 04:15 AM

HAI FERRA!!! <3

General Lee Outrageous 08-24-2008 04:31 AM

Oh wow! I didn't think so many Hoffers would want in! Yay!!! More updates next week, when I actually start building the thing.

Ferra 08-24-2008 04:43 AM

HAI TWINNIE! :D <3

Oh, you should be proud of me! XD I finished my very first clothing item that I sewed myself. (Granted I had oodles of help from my friend since I'd never used a sewing machine before.) Did you ever finish your Persona 3 things? :0 *hope you don't mind me bringing it up*

fiarra 08-24-2008 04:48 AM

YAAAAAY!!! HARRO!!! *fluff*

And that's so exciting! What did you make?? And will there be pictures?!
I finished making the coat for my boyfriend and omg it was worth all the time. And I plan on finishing my cosplay for Halloween for the anime club party. ^_^

Pic of the coat -> here!

Ferra 08-24-2008 05:01 AM

Uwah! :O <3 You're much more talented than I! *is a beginner* It looks awesome!

I did take a quick picture of it so I could show my friend (I'm not even wearing it, but the dress and some other minor details, like extra lines, zipper, and circle on the forehead aren't quite finished). XD; A bunch of my friends are all cosplaying as pokemon, so I made the sweatshirt for a blue Gastrodon. One of my other friends is making the pink version and two of my other friends already have theirs finished (Pikachu and Jigglypuff).

fiarra 08-24-2008 05:21 AM

Ahhhhhh That's so cute! And I think it looks very well done. Everyone has to start somewhere and lemme tell you... my first attempts at making anything were... kinda disastrous. xD Infact, one of the last things I made.. I ran out of time and I had to tacky glue the sleeves.

Ferra 08-24-2008 05:27 AM

Thank you! :3 I'm somewhat proud since it turned out better than I was expecting. XD; I guess I was surprised that sewing with a machine wasn't that hard (although my stitching is a mess when you look up close). That yellow stripe going up, around the hood, and down is actually one single strip of bias tape. It was a pain to sew it up top, but I think it looks much better than if it was cut. XD

fiarra 08-24-2008 06:04 AM

Bias tape is a pain to sew right. When I had to do it for a vest I made, it ended up being sewn on all crooked in the end. It looks really good all one piece like that. And machine sewing is pretty easy once you learn how to control the machine properly. ^^

Ferra 08-24-2008 12:40 PM

Well I had a few screw ups here and there, but it's not too noticeable. XD And I agree it's kind of a pain, I certainly stabbed myself plenty of times with pins when I was tugging the hood to sew the loop right.

Yeah, that's more accurate to me as well.
If someone suggests an idea that I like more than mine, then I want THAT to happen and latch onto THAT idea.
I guess it's more that I'm a control freak who just so happens to prefer most of her own ideas. XD
It makes me a good leader, since I'm capable of just taking something over and not really needing any help. But it makes me horrible as part of a team in working on something. XD
Though I'm good on a team of people who have no idea what they're doing. XD

One time in my drama class I was in this improv skit, and like NO ONE was doing ANYTHING. They were just sort of killing the scene with pointless chattering. So I just started going, and they all stopped doing ANYTHING AT ALL. Like, not even responding to me or playing off me or anything. They just sat there and watched me. So in cases like that, the ability to totally take over comes in handy. XD

That's awesome!
Is it red or hot pink? With the flash, I can't tell.

Congrats!
I can't sew. XD I've tried. I just manage to get the fabric caught up in the machine, or the thread gets stuck somehow and then I get all these stitches bunched up together. >.<
And that was just with doing simple stuff. I'd like to try sewing the images from one shirt onto another shirt (like, I have a bunch of band shirts, but they're men's shirts, so they're huge, so I want to cut the decal out and sew it onto a junior's top. It looks cool.), but I'm afraid of fucking the whole thing up. XD

I told you they'd be interested. :P

fiarra 08-24-2008 05:36 PM

Ferra: The number of times I maimed my hand when I was making that thing... ><;; Especially when I was sewing the vinyl.

Cherry: Nuuu.. it's red. The flash does weird things to the color. ;_;

HIM_ROCK 08-24-2008 05:50 PM

Bada-bing I has arrived.

Ferra 08-24-2008 05:51 PM

@fiarra: I believe it. D: <3 Oh the pains of cosplay...

@Cherry: I had some hangups here and there with thread getting bunched up and my needle breaking, but it was pretty easy to continue with my friend rethreading the machine for me. XD I probably could have done it, but I didn't want to screw things up since it wasn't mine.

tentenpuff 08-24-2008 07:09 PM

-shrivels-
There's no way I can reply to all those pages. XD

Anyway, Friday and yesterday were pretty fun. xD
My friend came over and we talked about a bunch of stuff and played Mario Party 7, and on Saturday, we went to the mall all day and met up with two of our other friends. :D
The main reason we met up was so we can go cosplay shopping for AWA for my friend, but she ended up ... not buying anything. XD
She can probably find some stuff if she went thrift shopping, though. She's going as Haru from Hitman Reborn. xD

fiarra 08-24-2008 07:53 PM

Ferra: The pains of cosplay indeed. But it's so worth it in the end when you get to wear the finished product.

tenten: I looked up the character. It looks like a fairly standard school uniform (if that's the outfit she is doing) so yes.. thifting will probably produce good results.

Ohh. Yeah, I figured, since hot pink isn't a very manly color. XD

Yeah, I can fix the stuff (or have my mom do it for me) but it just happens SO MUCH with the stuff I was doing. << Like, every few minutes. It got really frustrating. I know I was doing something wrong, but I don't know what.

Sounds like fun. Makes me almost wish I had a life too. XD Almost....

And yeah, thrift stores rawk.
