Uh, guys, maybe you should make sure you know the entire situation before passing judgment on roocee.
I certainly don't myself, but from what I've gathered, she was given a valid-sounding reason for not having all of his contact information. Not just a simple "Nah, don't feel like giving you my number." So give her a break, okay? Even if she's the one choosing to end the relationship, that doesn't mean that this is a happy and easy thing for her. Regardless of your intentions or how you meant it, you did come off as a little rude, and I doubt that's what she needs right now. And I'm sorry roocee, I know you said to drop it, but I wanted to say something about it. Conversation is now being dropped. |
Well, I did read what was said previously, and I have one semi-related thing to say. If you don't want to hear negative feedback about something that's obviously going to trigger it, than don't talk about the subject at all.
Kukon and I were expressing our own opinions on the situation. If she didn't want that, then maybe she should've kept the conversation to PMs. But it was in the open, where anybody is free to comment about it, in either positive or negative ways. |

Expressing opinion is all well and good, but it's also important to consider how that opinion might affect the person who is currently in the situation. *nod*

Yes, you have the right to your opinions, and you have the right to express them, but it doesn't mean that's nice or polite or considerate in any way.
If someone says they feel suicidal over something, you have the right to say "That's a dumb reason, you must be really stupid for wanting to kill yourself over that, maybe you should just do it," but that doesn't mean that it's a good thing to say. |
I've learnt it's best not to give your opinion because you will offend the person, how ever trivial a matter it is.
