Oh yeah, so my computer was having problems with the CPU fan, mainly that it wasn't spinning. With the fan not spinning, the processor could overheat to satanic temperatures and break into a useless piece of junk. Generally, this is a bad situation.
So I found out the fan is working fine by testing it on another computer, so the problem lies in the motherboard. I asked the question on Yahoo answers and got no useful advice. Then I spent an hour sifting through the interwebs in search for some help. Then I got the idea of connecting the fan directly to the power supply, so it doesn't matter what the motherboard does. I checked online for a converter cable and found one. Then I checked with my computer friend to make sure that what I just proposed made any sense at all, and it did. So he's gonna buy some crap and throw the three dollar cable into his cart along with some heat transfer goop, which I will then buy from him for about ten bucks. Then I can hook it up to my CPU fan, and my computer will work like a non-possessed computer. Now excuse me while I scream and jump up and down like a giddy schoolgirl.
