I've seen purses and things with blythe dolls on printed on them recently.

Blythe dolls were popular over here for a while a couple of years back. I never got the chance to get one though because everyone was getting them and shops were selling out really fast.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 06:36 PM

omg really? D: blythe dolls are expensive though what store would they be in?

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 06:42 PM

I think people were getting them from online. I tried getting one and everywhere online I tried they were out of stock, they were selling out as fast as they could get them in.
The sites that sold them propibly only got them in small batches because they didn't see them comming that big.

If they come round again I'm hoping that "Toys-R-Us" sell them this time round because it'd be cheeper than having to pay package and postage charges.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 06:59 PM

would toys r us really sell 100 dollar dolls with big heads and color changing eyes?

in the 70's when they first came out the eye change thing scared the girls so they stopped making them D:

If it's something that they know is going to be huge and they can make a good profit on it they will sell it. It'd probibly be the only sell them in limited ammounts so they could push the price up a bit.

I'm still having trouble finding blythe dolls, I think it's propibly that the cost of importing them would be putting sites off buying them to sell them.
Most places that do sell Japanese import dolls add on about £5 to £10 due to it having to be imported.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 07:10 PM

in japan they are like 12000 yen D:

Flink 03-27-2009 07:11 PM

I can't read the word "disco" without thinking of the song "Shiny Disco Balls."

Eitherwho, I found someone who wins against me when it comes to messing with telemarketers! ^^ YouTube Link

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 07:13 PM

I think I'll have to travel over there then to get some dolls. Japan has crazy crazy things that are so crazy it just makes you want them all the more.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 07:16 PM

my room is full of useless cute and kooky stuff

for example:
i have a rubber cactus with a chibi face

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 07:20 PM

We had a real cactus which had a face and evey time I opened the curtens I would find it haning off the net curtens. I trades you it for the rubber cactus with a face.

I found some kitty ear hair clips on one site and I yell "DOES WANT!!" then I looked at the price. So the does want turned into "does want....But not at that price". Just because they were imported from Japan they had a stupidly high price.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 07:34 PM

i saw some kitty hairpins for like 2000 yen

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 07:39 PM

I think I'm going to have to make my own kitty hair clips seeing as the only ones I found are nearly £6.

And they look like this:

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 07:43 PM

how smexy lol

where do you live?

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 07:45 PM

I live in England so some of the more unusual things are harder to come across.

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 08:05 PM

omfg i didnt know that 8D

so you have like the english accent and everything? xDD

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 08:11 PM

I'm not from round that area of London so I don't have the "proper British accent" but I do randomly come out with some things that the stereotypical posh British person would say like "Good show old bean".

XxXshizuki-chanXxX 03-27-2009 08:25 PM

oh how fun, i love how british people sound

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 08:27 PM

It's strange how so many people from other countries like the way us Brits sound.

Elmira Swift 03-27-2009 08:29 PM

HIM, I think that if I actually heard you call someone "old bean" I'd pass out from laughing too hard. My own accent is a combination of southern california valley girl and deep south US redneck. With lots of expletives. I am, after all, an ex-dirty ol' sailor. I have to edit a bit while in public or typing.

Anyhow... I'm going to also insert another ad for the staff appreciation event trivia game. I'm hosting it, and I promise that the questions aren't evil! Plus, the more people play, the more they have a chance of winning cool stuff!

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 08:37 PM

Pip pip and all that. :XD

Elmira Swift 03-27-2009 08:46 PM

Ok. Now I need to pee

...what? xD

Elmira Swift 03-27-2009 08:54 PM

What I know of HIM leads me to believe that she is not a stuffy fusspot, but she's typing some phrases here that are both stuffy and fusspot-like. It made me laugh and I had to pee. Make sense?

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 08:56 PM

HIM is so bloody British. Now to do some British things like drinking cups of tea with some scones.

Elmira Swift 03-27-2009 08:57 PM

Why does that sound funny to me - picturing young lady with peenk hair and fetish-style boots drinking tea with scones.
