I actually haven't had anything to eat yet today. But I'll have dinner, and I'll be fine.
Ah, I used to have the same thing, breakfast wise. Some mornings I would actually end up vomiting. But I figured out my problem. The reason I was getting ill was I was taking my vitamin supplements before I had anything in my stomach. So I switched that around, and then I only got a tad nauseated.
Yeah, I'm familiar with Carnation instant breakfast. It has a decent amount of protein (as a vegetarian, always looking out for this), but has too much sugar for me.
As cliche as it sounds, the whole "you are what you eat thing" actually is somewhat true. The right food makes you feel more vital.

Cherry Who? 09-14-2010 10:56 PM

Yeah, I'm not too pleased with the amount of sugar in it either. But I don't really eat much else that has much sugar in it, and it's that or no breakfast at all, so I make the sacrifice.

Ugh, yeah, pills before eating... One time I woke up with a headache and allergies. Popped a claritin and some motrin and... blaaarrgggh. Ill for the rest of the day.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 03:38 AM

Totally changing the subject here, but have you seen 'Kittens inspired by kittens" yet?

If not:
wouldn't be surprised if you had though.
Side note: if you have this playing out of sync in two different windows at the same time, it's amazing.

and then this, which I must say I find funnier:

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 03:44 AM

It was both funny and irritating... I'm so conflicted.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 03:53 AM

I like the young narrator's take on world war two: The Jews are put in jail by the Germans, a clever Jew convinces the other Jews to break out of jail, and then the Jews put the Germans in jail. Meanwhile, the Egyptians aren't involved in any of this, are boring, and die because the sun is too hot.

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 03:54 AM

Sounds right to me.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 04:07 AM

And because you like Russian music, here's a song about Paris Hilton:

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 04:16 AM

You know Russia's a poor country when they couldn't even afford gold-tone jewelry for their rapper...
Catchy tune, though. I'm going to have to translate the lyrics.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 04:17 AM

Oh, someone already did.

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 04:21 AM

Oh, good, thank you, I couldn't seem to find anything.

That's quite amusing. I need that song on my iPod...

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 04:22 AM

Lol. I don't quite know why I like it. It's funky.

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 04:25 AM

It's got a good song. And their silly antics don't hurt.

So I had this idea for a hangout thread centered around discussing... fancy stuff. Fine art, classic literature, that sort of general snobbery. Only I'm in no way qualified to make such a thread. So I'm officially passing my idea on to you if you feel sufficiently qualified. You're fancier than me.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 04:28 AM

Am I fancy? Or just pretentious?

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 05:20 AM

Holy wow, those are too pretty to eat.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 06:00 AM

Yeah, I can't believe the things some people can do with edible materials.

Soo....
I do like the fancy thread idea. But I don't know if I am fancy enough to carry it all on my own. Maybe we could do a collaboration? And recruit other fancy folks to our cause? Like our own PRB. Or in a slightly less dorky reference, the Algonquin round table?
I kind of knocked up some art we could use on the front page (by bastardizing some Aubrey Beardsley artwork):

fairywaif 09-15-2010 04:19 PM

I like fancy thing but I don't know if I could actually hold a conversation about them...

I hate when cookies are pretty! Then you don't want to eat them...

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 09:36 PM

Yeah, I like reading cakewrecks. It's a blog for really, really, really terrible professionally made cakes. But then they dedicate one post a week to gorgeous cakes, and while I'm blown away by what people can do with some icing... I could never cut it up and eat it!

I don't think I'm fancy enough even to collaborate on it. Do you know any other fancy people here? I'd mostly like to lurk it to learn about fancy things and to become fancier myself.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 10:34 PM

Haha. I kind of know some fancy people, but I haven't really talked to them since... the winter events. If I went into community discussions, would it be possible to make a thread about wanting to make a thread, and try to get people on board? Or is that some sort violation?

I used to read cakewrecks everyday, but I kind of O.D.ed, so I just check in every once in a while now. I'm very aware of the masterpieces that have been showcased there.

Cherry Who? 09-15-2010 10:37 PM

Uhhmmm, I'm not really sure that that kind of thread would belong there.
But you could make the thread yourself and just see who comes. I'm sure some fancy pants people who come along.

Cardinal Biggles 09-15-2010 10:58 PM

I shall mull it over.
I'd want to put more effort into it than I did for the my exchange thread and spur of the moment event thread.

Cherry Who? 09-16-2010 03:40 AM

Well, you can always go back and edit the posts. And if you don't reserve enough posts, any moderator can make additional posts appear from the air.

Cardinal Biggles 09-16-2010 03:52 AM

Yep yep! So, it's open. Go and look already. And give feedback if you see anything that needs improving.

David Hasselhoff competes against Audrina Patridge (and not just at dancing) | Mail Online

By-line: "He had noticeable man boobs."

Biggles - I'd recommend removing your signature from the set up posts. If you click edit, then "go advanced," there'll be a box below the typing field that you can uncheck to remove the signature. Makes front pages flow nicer.

Yay, thread!

Oh, wow, Hasselhoff is now a man who looks like an old lesbian.
