I think if I lived in Tampa more I'd see more graffitti, but I haven't really seen any.

Looking at some of his other stuff and a lot of it's very thought provoking. Very neat.

HIM_ROCK 11-29-2010 10:31 PM

Freight trains have some funny graffiti drawn on the sides on the in the muck.

fairywaif 11-29-2010 10:37 PM

I don't actually live near any trains currently. Although when I lived in Michigan I lived right near some tracks. I could hear them at night sometimes.

Cardinal Biggles 11-30-2010 06:27 AM

I miss hearing the trains at night -sigh-

Cherry Who? 12-01-2010 05:10 AM

How much of his work was destroyed? Just those two, or more?

I live a few blocks from some train tracks. Far enough away that I can't hear it inside the house (unless the windows are open, but then it's not very loud), but close enough to where if a train is passing through, I'm stuck in my neighborhood for a few minutes. Lots of tags on the trains, but they're usually all the same 100% illegible bullshit.

There's also a truckstop near my house, so I see a lot of trucks on the highway, sometimes they've got something on them too.

Cardinal Biggles 12-02-2010 09:49 PM

That winged cat that just about everyone's got... I missed something, didn't I?

HIM_ROCK 12-02-2010 09:54 PM

It's just the No Future one that had paint thrown on it, the guy who owns the house it's on is going to try and clean it up.

And possible Banksy art has appeared in Iceland, not the supermarket.

Cherry Who? 12-03-2010 04:51 AM

Biggles - The event, apparently.

Cardinal Biggles 12-03-2010 08:19 AM

what event, wheeen?

Cherry Who? 12-03-2010 09:46 PM

Halloween. Check Community Discussion, there's a thread about the item and CK explains it better than I can.

fairywaif 12-03-2010 10:15 PM

I didn't know about it either. I was so confused. And then I look in my inventory and poof! Magic. So I'm wearing it now.

Cardinal Biggles 12-05-2010 04:42 AM

Ah yes. Ok. It's in mine as well. I was looking through the announcements and such, trying to find an explanation for the inexplicable.

Also what? You won?! That's spectacular, Fairy. Congratudiddlilations!

Cherry Who? 12-05-2010 06:52 AM

I didn't participate in nanowrimo... I'd really like to write again, but I've had writers block for... years. I wrote all the time when I was 12-15, but now I can rarely squeeze anything out. I'm so concerned with coming up with something good, and I just can't. I can't even come up with something mediocre, I can't come up with any plot at all.

I need to listen to that.

What did you write about, Fairy?

David Hasselhoff to replace Simon Cowell as Britain's Got Talent judge? | Metro.co.uk

Cherry Who? 12-06-2010 06:21 AM

Interesting... I'll add that to the hoffy news section.

I need to add that whale dance video to the WHAT post, too... Forgot to do that.

Cardinal Biggles 12-06-2010 06:58 AM

Mmm. I've been thinking about making some cosmetic changes to the dead as a doornail Fancypants thread.

Cherry Who? 12-06-2010 07:45 AM

It went too soon. :(

P.S. I love your signature picture.

Cardinal Biggles 12-06-2010 07:47 AM

I agree. I need to find some sly way to promote it, other than signature links.

Jesus wants you to take an umbrella, so you don't catch a cold.
Also, the boosh has inspired me to call Easter "Jesus Weekend" from now on.

fairywaif 12-06-2010 05:54 PM

I wrote about chimeras (Humans with animal/plant DNA) and government conspiracies. I think it definietley needs editing, but I think it needs less than last years. Thanks for the congrats!

I think Jesus is right. Everyone needs an umbrella. Except those inside out ones. No one needs one of those.
I have a scar on my leg from playing with a broken umbrella.

Cherry Who? 12-06-2010 06:56 PM

Yeah, I keep buying those umbrellas that fold up tiny, but the more joints an umbrella has, the weaker it is, so it's more likely to pop upside down in strong winds. :( The next umbrella I get needs to be traditional. I really like this one, not that I can afford it right now. I also like those clear ones.

HIM_ROCK 12-06-2010 07:37 PM

Modcloth once had a clear goldfish brolly.

Anyone want to buy HIM this one:

Gunbrella - Umbrellas & Parasols

fairywaif 12-06-2010 08:44 PM

That is so cool! I have a rather frilly looking umbrella right now, that's white with blue frills.
Look at this neat one I found: Umbrella

And apparently this is an umbrella mouthed eel.

Cardinal Biggles 12-07-2010 12:04 AM

Biggles has this umbrella: http://www.uncommongoods.com/product...campaign=19022

She looves it. It was hard to find online for a while. Looks like more people have it back in stock.

Here's a cheap clear one, Cherry. I was temped to buy it. You'd still have to pay shipping and handling, but for something that size and shape, I don't imagine it would be that much: Japanese Vinyl Clear Umbrella

Cherry Who? 12-07-2010 02:46 AM

HIM - That's brilliant. However, it reminds me of the brouhaha over a katana-handled umbrella

Fairy - The image is a little small so it's hard to tell - it starts as a cane, yes? That's pretty awesome.

Biggles - That's cute! Does the shape sacrifice any effectiveness?

Ooh, that one's priced even better than the other one I was looking at. But the shipping from Japan may offset that savings. But it's good to know that they're around for cheap, I'll have to order one once I get a job.

Cardinal Biggles 12-07-2010 02:55 AM

@ Cherry: not really. You can move it around so that it's in it's most effective position for the weather conditions.
