(severely off-topic)
Sabrina is jealous of HIM's Lego Jack Sparrow...arr.

HIM_ROCK 05-16-2011 12:50 PM

HIM's got a lego Black Pearl as well.

Guivre 05-16-2011 07:40 PM

Everything looks better in lego.

fairywaif 05-16-2011 08:12 PM

Indeed it does. I had a lego octopus at one point, I believe.

Sabrina 05-17-2011 12:15 AM

Awwww geez, why can't I have cool lego things? D;
*sob*

Guivre 05-17-2011 04:56 AM

The only thing that doesn't look good in lego is the Sears Tower (Now Willis Tower.) Basically just a monolith of legos, glued together so it doesn't topple. I remember seeing these, in grade school.

Yes, I know I contradicted myself, but the exception is just so rare.

Cherry Who? 05-17-2011 04:58 AM

As a kid, I had pretty standard legos... The really awesome lego playsets must have started right after my childhood or something.

There's one of those big lego tables in my dentist's waiting room. I always sit on the floor and play with the legos while I'm waiting. :ninja:

Iro 05-17-2011 05:39 AM

I grew up with the standard logos myself. My mum bought the small box for them. I lost so many of pieces growing up. xD

I used to build crazy houses and castles with them.

Cherry Who? 05-17-2011 06:50 AM

Losing pieces sucked... especially if it was a wheel. I hate when you could only find three wheels but you wanted to make a lego car. But that didn't suck as much as stepping on a lego... ow.

Guivre 05-17-2011 01:44 PM

Outside of the kits, I really only made dollhouses over and over with legos. I don't know why my parents just didn't buy me a dollhouse.

Sabrina 05-17-2011 05:56 PM

I don't know where all my legos are. D:

I think they might be in a huge box somewhere in our basement, but it's scary down there. Bugs and...bleh. Dx

Cherry Who? 05-18-2011 02:58 AM

I had a sort of lego dollhouse-type thing. My memories of it are a bit vague, but I remember it had a clear plastic "elevator" that could be moved up and down. I'm really not sure what it was supposed to be.... though now I remember a lego computer, so maybe it was an office? A lego office? Seriously?

Hey Biggles, I don't remember where we were having the Sims convo, but did you ever get that hack to noticeably work for you? I never got a chance to reinstall my game and poke around at it because final projects hit me pretty hard.

Cardinal Biggles 05-18-2011 08:24 PM

Oh, thanks for asking! I didn't really see any changes, no. I don't know if it takes a while to kick in, I haven't really been on since then. But it was probably me and my poor computer "programming" skills. Looking good, by the way, there.

HIM_ROCK 05-18-2011 08:47 PM

*Noms on Biggaly-Wiggaly*

Cardinal Biggles 05-19-2011 04:03 AM

teehee, the peeling away of my flesh tickles.

HamletSpamlet 05-19-2011 05:05 AM

Aww, I'm sorry about that. Did you still enjoy playing? I just have one more final and then maybe I can finally get some real "work" done.

Haha, and thank you! I just really needed to try out this black tail. You look pretty awesome as well. Fishy pals, glub~

Cardinal Biggles 05-19-2011 06:49 AM

Yeah, it wasn't bad, I just didn't have the attention span for it that I used to.
I thought it was an auctioneer item, I just saw the announcement now. Fishy kindred spirits indeed ^_^

HIM_ROCK 05-19-2011 02:14 PM

HIM'S FOUND FUKURO LADY 8D

Guivre 05-19-2011 03:43 PM

Excuse the out of orderness, but the idea of a small child building an office out of lego belongs in an indie movie or something.

The new black koi parts do look pretty sharp.

fairywaif 05-19-2011 08:26 PM

I love them but I already spent all my gold! *is poor nao*

Cardinal Biggles 05-19-2011 10:33 PM

Oh, I need to find that tongue in cheek mermaid art that I have somewhere on my computer!

Cherry Who? 05-20-2011 02:15 AM

HIM - Wuddat?

Guivre - Sounds about right! It was a pre-built kind, though... I think it was a house... with an elevator? But hey, Barbie houses had elevators too. At least, some did... my Barbie house had nothing connecting the upper and lower levels, so my Barbies had to bounce up a pretend staircase. I hope I included some meta gags about them missing the invisible staircase and falling. Actually, I'm certain I had them fall off the upper level to their death, I just hope I was witty about it.

Fairy - Well, if you've got $2.50 to spare, you don't have to spend any gold. :D

Biggles - I understand the concept of "tongue in cheek," but not the etymology. While being "tongue in cheek," never have I physically pushed my tongue into my cheek...

Hey tennis guy in my signature! Do you know why they say that?

Cardinal Biggles 05-20-2011 05:22 AM

I actually do the cheeky thing quite a lot.
