Oh! I love that song. I think Rain would make a pretty good one too. I mean seriously, it really worked for that last episode of Cowboy Bebop, why not my death. I've also always liked Amazing Grace, even if it is used ALL THE TIME.

Yeah, it is a good song and then you add the Meme and it makes it super amazing. Great, now I want to listen to it, lol.

Cardinal Biggles 05-28-2011 09:01 PM

Rain is also one of my favourites. Mai Yamane's voice is in the stratosphere, when it comes to wow factor. Green Bird is another favourite, used in the same episode (Ballad of Fallen Angels).

I don't think anyone gets my avatar this time around... It doesn't matter too much since it tickles me which is all that matters, but I felt it was perfect, so I do wish I could lend my brain to someone else so they'd see what I see too.

Have you Hoffers been enjoying the spring? We got quite the short one here, it rained through most of it. It's still officially spring, but it's hot as summer out there now. Pleh.

Cardinal Biggles 06-07-2011 06:29 AM

I went wading in the creek today. The water was so deliciously chilly, and the feeling of my hands facing the current, the water pressing against them and slipping through me fingers, divine.

Cherry Who? 06-07-2011 06:43 AM

This is my jealous face.

There's a creek a few blocks from me in the park. I used to go down there a lot with my friend when I was younger. At first we'd avoid the water like it was poison and just stick to the sandy beaches. I found some cool things down there. Tiny shells, a piece of something that looks like turquoise, and broken glass that had its edges sanded down by the creek so it wasn't sharp anymore. There were also sometimes tiny fish and frogs. I caught a number of teeny tiny frogs (and then released them, of course), they're so cute. One day it was hot and we finally threw caution to the wind and went wading in some of the shallower parts. Other parts are very deep, so we stayed away from those, but waded in these little isolated bits where we could see the bottom. We're quite lucky we didn't step on any glass. It was fun. I'd love to go back there again sometime, but I really don't feel comfortable in that park alone... it's right off a bad street and is usually pretty empty, so it's not ideal. So anyway, back to my original point, enjoy that creek for me!

I'll live it up for you, of course.

There was something in the water today that I'm assuming was a frog that kept darting out in front of my feet, but the motion of the water was obscuring what it really was. I'm surprised, because I've not seen frogs in there before (we have plenty in the ponds, several of which surround the house) but the way it was moving makes me assume it was exactly that. There are some clams in there, as it's actually an estuary, lots of water birds (we currently have have a pair of Canadian geese raising their five goslings along the banks), frequent visits from various mammals, and at some points of the year, birds of prey(and sporadically all year round, but at certain parts of the year more of them about, except the owls, the owls are always here, I can hear them at night, though I mostly see them in the summer), for example I disturbed a bald eagle today. In the fall, we have a small, ever dwindling salmon run, but it's hard to catch (visually, we would never physically catch them) without paying constant attention to it. (here are some more parenthesis)

The island was a summer destination for the native tribes of the area, so some visitors have found arrow heads on the banks - I think I've mentioned this before? - though I've never found them. There's also some lore that goes with this particular piece of property, but I'm not sure I could share it without giving my exact location away.

Cherry Who? 06-08-2011 12:56 AM

Wow, that sounds awesome. Especially the part about the goslings because I love anything that is a fuzzy baby animal. You must find so many neat treasures there!

Cardinal Biggles 06-08-2011 08:01 PM

I found what I think is part of a hoover once?

Cherry Who? 06-08-2011 08:55 PM

Well, uh...

Cardinal Biggles 06-09-2011 04:22 AM

My friend, Sarah, she lives near a creek too, right? As a child, she used to find ladies handbags hanging from trees that leaned over the banks. Much more interesting.

Cherry Who? 06-09-2011 04:43 AM

That's... weird. And vaguely magical.

And hey, Hoffers, I found this for you today.

A divine message from the great Hoff himself.

Cardinal Biggles 06-09-2011 06:20 AM

Can someone else make the ecstasy run? I have a blister.

Cherry Who? 06-09-2011 05:19 PM

But I got the glowsticks! *whine*

HIM_ROCK 06-09-2011 05:29 PM

Cherry Who? 06-09-2011 05:35 PM

HIM_ROCK 06-09-2011 05:38 PM

HamletSpamlet 06-09-2011 10:01 PM

Cherry Who? 06-09-2011 10:44 PM

Then change the channel to something Hoffier! Knight Rider must be on somewhere. :P

Hammy - Refer to the dance party posts.

HamletSpamlet 06-09-2011 10:49 PM

I will refer to them, but not by name.

Cherry Who? 06-09-2011 10:57 PM

I'd prefer if you would refer rather than defer from the offer.

HIM_ROCK 06-10-2011 09:39 AM

The Hoff isn't anywhere on the telly box D:

Cherry Who? 06-10-2011 05:23 PM

Noooo! We must put him on your computer box, then!

Oh god, why haven't I watched this before, this is the worst thing in the woooorld.

HIM_ROCK 06-10-2011 05:32 PM

HIM is highly disturbed by that

Cardinal Biggles 06-10-2011 07:34 PM

You guys haven't seen that before? That's his masterwork..

Cherry Who? 06-10-2011 09:00 PM

I had avoided his music career, really. In fact, I've honestly avoided just about everything he's done.
