Cherry, for some reason, your avatar reminds me of those pixies in the second Harry Potter book/movie. The ones Lockheart lets out of the cage because he's an idiot.
I think they were blue though. :|

Guivre 06-11-2011 04:47 PM

I dunno I've always enjoyed seeing daschunds in their natural environment. Which is apparently a green screen.

Cherry Who? 06-11-2011 05:05 PM

Kita - I just looked that up, and I think that might have given me some subconscious inspiration, I see the resemblance.

Facade 06-11-2011 08:03 PM

Speaking of Lockheart... If he can be a Hogwarts professor, I'm convinced anyone can.

HIM_ROCK 06-11-2011 09:11 PM

PUT SOME PANTIES ON FACADE!! D<

Statue or not you should wear underwears.

Cardinal Biggles 06-11-2011 10:40 PM

Nudest statues are the best kind. History agrees with me.

Facade 06-11-2011 11:13 PM

WOO!~ Biggles endorses my plot to take over the not-so-free world.

-sticks tongue out at HIM- :illgetu:

Cherry Who? 06-12-2011 12:06 AM

Facade, you just want to be a nudie gargoyle Professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts. :talk2hand: Otherwise known as... DADA!

I... kind of have a dog today. We had these neighbors, and they were kind of asswads. They had a dog which was always getting out of their yard and roaming around the neighborhood. Nice dog. Anyway, the father of the house lost his job (apparently he got busted for dealing drugs  ) and they had to move. That was about a year ago. The dog... just showed up today, wandering around their fence, kind of confused. I was in my backyard doing work and she came over to me, so I petted her and she decided I was her new best friend. She sat with me while I was doing my gardening, and was with me long enough to make me feel responsible for her... So now we're trying to track down aforementioned druggie asswads to get their dog back to them. Poor puppy. I wonder how far she came?

EDIT: My dad knew a guy whose younger brother was friends with one of the (estranged?) sons of that family. He says the family moved waaaaaayyyy far away a long time ago. So either this doggie (we think her name is Lucy, but we don't know for certain) walked... forever, or the family gave her to someone nearby/a shelter before they moved. The son called the family who claimed they never ever had a dog like that... okay, complete and utter lie, but whatever, I don't want to give this dog back to them anyway, they were asswads. She has a collar, but no tag, so we don't know who her most recent owners were. Her fur is cut really short on her body, and the edges of the fur still feel freshly cut, so she had an owner recently, but we have no clue who. So we're going to call a local no-kill foster network and try to place her with them so she can get a new, happy home. There really isn't anything else we can do, we can't keep her around forever.

She's a really pretty doggie. I took a picture of her so I could show you guys. Link. You can tell she recently got a haircut. She used to have very long, sleek hair.

Cardinal Biggles 06-12-2011 03:18 AM

Aw, pretty thing.
Biggles doesn't think asswipes should be allowed pretty things

Cherry Who? 06-12-2011 03:32 AM

I agree. I posted on Craigslist and a lost and found site that we'd found her. I gave basic information (female black and white dog) but no specifics (size, markings, etc.) so that if someone calls, we can ask them to describe the dog so we can be sure it's their dog. Don't want some creep taking her who didn't already own her. If we don't get a call, we'll take her to that no-kill. She's sleeping on our back patio now. We'd let her in, but she's dirty, has fleas, and we don't think she's house trained, as far as we know she's always been an outside dog. But she's got water and some mats to help keep her comfy.

Facade 06-12-2011 04:59 AM

Aww, Cherry, you guys are such great people!

Now I wants a pet. :( I've never have one. I feel like I always bring that up when people talk about pets! :gonk: But it's unfortunately true...

Though I make an effort to hijack my cousins' hamster whenever I'm over at their house nowadays. :ninja:

I WANT A PET.

Cherry Who? 06-12-2011 05:22 AM

Aww, no pet ever? :( That blows. But I will warn you that hamsters don't really... return any kind of affection. Some syrians are okay with snuggling or sitting on your shoulder, but most don't really want to do much with you. If you want something that returns your affection, you need something a bit bigger. I've never had a rat, but I understand they're pretty sweet. Guinea pigs and bunnies are, but of course dogs and cats have the market cornered.

Facade 06-12-2011 05:29 AM

AAH! I was laying out in my backyard a day or two ago and there was this ADORABLE rabbit wandering around. :o It was so cute, eating leaves and stuffs! I'd love a rabbit.

Have you heard anything about ferrets? :ninja: I've wanted one since my 4th grade teacher told me she had like 7 way back when. I hear they're a pain in the hash-slinging-slasher, but I still want one!

Cherry Who? 06-12-2011 05:44 AM

I'm afraid I don't know much about them, in terms of how affectionate they are. I know they're funny and they like to steal things, though! Even mops.

I'd really recommend a cat, though. Their aloof reputation isn't really true at all. They're only aloof to people they don't like, that they don't have a relationship with. Some kitties aren't very cuddly, but some really are. They all have different personalities, but it's not hard to find a real sweetie. And they can live up to 20 years. You can't say that for any small animal. Hamsters live about 2 years. Bunnies live around 5.

`Kitami 06-12-2011 09:44 AM

Beautiful doggy, Cherry. She looks like she's got some kind of a collie face, or shepherd...damn it, now I miss Anna again. :(

I had a rabbit once. -sigh- Poor Blackberry.

IF I ever had a ferret, his name would be Draco.

HIM_ROCK 06-12-2011 10:26 AM

HIM shall come along and take a hammer to the nudey statues.

`Kitami 06-12-2011 10:49 AM

You can't do that. Nudity is beautiful. As long as its not that guy in Snowberry: 's signature. If he was nude, you'd probably want to burn your eyes out.
Or the Pope. The Pope should never be nude.

HIM_ROCK 06-12-2011 10:51 AM

HIM's going to go after the Facade statue there

`Kitami 06-12-2011 11:20 AM

Is Faccie really nude?
Are you going to crusade against all Ken dolls not wearing pants next?

Cherry:: Dude that singer in the video in your sig is kind of cute in a baby face kind of way. :O
He has beautiful eyes.

HIM_ROCK 06-12-2011 11:25 AM

They come with plastic moulded kecks they don't have any bits.

`Kitami 06-12-2011 11:26 AM

Neither does Faccie.

HIM_ROCK 06-12-2011 11:30 AM

HIM's going to make sure he can't stick one on

`Kitami 06-12-2011 12:00 PM

Like....with Play-Doh? D:

HIM_ROCK 06-12-2011 12:02 PM

Or whatever else he can find to make one with D:

`Kitami 06-12-2011 12:04 PM

I'm sure there are better materials than Play-Doh. D:
It seems to me that Play-Doh may be...well, it wouldn't stand up to the competition. Ha. Hahaha. -crickets-
