Ah, I remember "playing" one of the Donkey Kong Country games "with" my little brother at our "grandma's" house! I couldn't say which "one", though... Link to the Past was jealously guarded by the neighbor "boys" and The Seventh Saga seems "promising". Maybe I should "ask" grandma if she still have her console... and to "lend" it to me.

Guivre 07-31-2011 11:57 PM

Last summer I was able to replace all my favorite gamecube games and the actual console -- and even buy an import. But it was a recent console, and I did justify it by telling myself the games could be played on the wii if I wanted to buy one. Surprisingly, the console, 8 games, an extra controller and two memory cards were all under $100. Prices are getting lower, rather than higher. =D

Now I'm off to look at the first page again ...

Artsy - That'd be good! And like I said, you can probably find a lot of those games for $10 or so at used game stores. Not Gamestop, they only sell newish titles, but there are other places that still "sell" old games. Online, too.

Fairy - I'm not sure I followed that, sorry.

Hey guys, we get "double" gold for posts today, so we should... "chat." ;D

Cardinal Biggles 08-01-2011 11:37 PM

Oh, we do? Dang, and just when I'm too scatterbrained to do it properly...

Cherry Who? 08-01-2011 11:43 PM

Yeah, check the "announcements."

*helps pick up and organize brain matter*

Cardinal Biggles 08-02-2011 01:36 AM

That is much appreciated. I truly need all the help I can get at the moment.

Cherry Who? 08-02-2011 02:36 AM

Is anything causing the scatteriness, or is it just spontaneous scattering?

Cardinal Biggles 08-02-2011 04:31 AM

Well.
Yes.

Cherry Who? 08-02-2011 04:40 AM

 I see. Better than being... shatter brained or smatter brained, I suppose!

fairywaif 08-02-2011 06:41 PM

I think I am shatterbrained.

Cherry Who? 08-02-2011 09:08 PM

I'm definitely smatter brained. Very mushy and gooey and smeary.

So we're under a heat advisory... and I just bought two long sleeve shirts, a cardigan and a sweater. See? Mushy brained.

HIM_ROCK 08-02-2011 09:13 PM

Time to "brake" out the BBQ sauce.

Cherry Who? 08-02-2011 09:39 PM

It tingles in my head space. :D

fairywaif 08-02-2011 11:20 PM

I don't know, where I live the hotter it gets the more you need sweaters for the air conditioning...

Cardinal Biggles 08-02-2011 11:21 PM

This has been the year without a summer. Might as well be late April most of the time.

fairywaif 08-02-2011 11:29 PM

Ugh, I hate you. It's been at least 90 most of this summer.

Cherry Who? 08-02-2011 11:35 PM

That's exactly why I bought them, Fairy! I sit right across from an air conditioning vent and since it's running all day to keep the house cold and my room is a bit closed off, I get absolutely frigid. I'm wrapped in a fuzzy blanket as I write this. It just sounds so silly to buy sweaters during a heat advisory...

fairywaif 08-02-2011 11:38 PM

It sounds silly, but I think it actually makes sense. I'm actually freezing right now.

Cherry Who? 08-02-2011 11:40 PM

Cardigans. Lots of cardigans.

fairywaif 08-02-2011 11:43 PM

Ooh, a cardigan sounds lovely! I'll be going home soon though, and I'll get to warm up in my lovely unairconditioned house. We did just get a really nice fan that has made my life much better though.

Cherry Who? 08-03-2011 02:02 AM

Yes, I have 4! They are my year round best friends, next to my fuzzy blanket.

Aww, no AC at your house? :( I'm sorry. I hope it's not located in any of the areas getting extreme heat right now!

Cardinal Biggles 08-03-2011 04:04 AM

We've never lived in a house with air conditioning. That's what basements are for.

Cherry Who? 08-03-2011 04:48 AM

I'm so sorry, you poor thing. :gonk:

Artsydaze 08-03-2011 07:51 AM

Did someone say... "basement"? My "domiciliary headquarters" and myself by association, are in the "basement"!
