It was horrible. Snow almost up to my waist, man.
Lol thanks. I'm totally addicted to tumblr now. >.>; |
I've been avoiding mine. Who knows what's been popping out of my queue?
|
I've been on tumblr a bunch too. But sometimes I avoid it a bit. I follow over 200 people so sometimes the prospect of catching up with posts I missed is intimidating. @[email protected]
|
I only follow ten people so far.
|
That will change soon. I never wanted to follow this many people! But there's no one I want to unfollow! Life is hard!
|
Yo, dawgs, we need more dawgs. Do you dawgs know any dawgs who might want to be one of our dawgs? Not enough dawgs up in this.
Oh hell, neither dog or dawg look or sound like words anymore. Although, to be fair, the latter isn't to begin with. |
Umm....I don't know. If I can think of anyone, I'll ping them?

Kenny Loggins could find us new Hoffers.

Kenny Loggins could do anything.
|
He could make my flu go away.
|
After seeing the new thread title I had to stop by.
So hello everyone. |
Success! Hi, BBR, how's it going? :)
|
Kooky contest?
|
Okay, here's a Kooky Kontest. Whoever cures my cold/flu wins a hay penny.

Take two and call me in the morning. |
Me, awake in the morning. Ha ha ha.
Let's talk about movies because reasons. What movies have you guys seen recently, what did you think of it, what do you want to see, what's your favorite movie, etc. etc. |
Uhh. Dunno. Went to The Decendents with my mum. Jim Rash co-wrote the (oscar winning) screenplay. The Dean from Community!
|
So was it good? The previews I've seen of it just confused me.
|
Yeah, it was pretty good. Nice locations, too. Hard on Mom, though. The hospital scenes were all to familiar.
|
Oh. :(
What is the movie, uhm, about? The previews I saw didn't make it clear. |
It's about a man who finds himself struggling to deal with his two daughters when his wife ends up in a coma. And other things. I won't spoil it. But there's also the fact that they are an old Hawaii'an family who are trying to figure out what to do with their inherited land. That's where the title comes in.
Speaking of films: Comedy news: Richard Ayoade in trailer for Ben Stiller's Neighborhood Watch |
Oh, okay, that makes much more sense. All I had gathered was that it was about a man and his daughters and I thought "Descendants" was kind of a melodramatic way of saying "offspring."
Hmm. I wonder if that'll be funny. I guess I don't have a lot of faith in Ben Stiller. Hmm, let's see, the last movie I watched was... The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother. Have you seen it? |
No! But I've seen clips of it! Looks like it has some good moments.
Did you watch the trailer? Not a fan of Vaughn or Hill, but I thought it looked okay. Richard bringing his typical polished awkwardness. |
It was funny. But I had the same reaction to it that I had to Young Frankenstein - that it was funny, but that I felt I must have missed a lot of jokes because I didn't find it as hilarious as everyone else seems to. Though I did think Young Frankenstein was funnier. Or maybe they're meant to be more subtly amusing. I don't know.
Yeah, I did watch the trailer. I haven't actually watched a movie with Vaughn or Stiller before, but it's one of those deals where I don't really have to, I can just tell it's not my thing. Likewise, I haven't seen anything Hill's in, but I don't have as much of an aversion to him, my opinion's more neutral. A lot of the movies he's been in look kind of... again, not my thing, but since he's still relatively fresh blood, the association isn't ingrained into me yet. Richard definitely seemed pretty out of place in the trailer, concept, etc. Don't quite see where someone who's truly funny (and in a completely different way) fits in... If you end up seeing the movie, do let me know what you think! |
Stiller was the one who backed Submarine, so I'm guessing they have a similar sensablity somewhere in their make-ups. Yeah, I'll probably see it, if only to cheer on the arrival on our shores of that caliber of comedian. I haven't seen anything with the others either, for the same reason. Though I've genuinely been put off by Hill in the adverts I've seen of his works. I did want to see Zoolander though.
I was looking for tumblr icon (I changed my theme, and wanted to reincorporated it, but I can't find it on my harddrive!) in google, and it turns out there's a gaia-er who shares the screen name.
