Today I had a ginger mother-son pair come into the humane society's cattery, not looking for anything in particular, and this orange tabby REALLY liked the little boy and I was like "oh you could take home another redhead!" and the mom was like "no, my daughter and my dog are already redheads I don't need another one" :rofl:

Hahaha. Awwww. But that would have been perfect!
Honestly, if/when I get another cat. I'd love to have a black cat or a ginger cat. Both are just adorable.

And you work at the humane society or volunteer? I used to volunteer with a friend in high school and middle school. :D

I volunteer. Not employed right now and I need something to keep me from being bored :lol:

I am employed and I need something to keep me from being bored as well. XD I was thinking of volunteering at a museum nearby that I like. :)
The place I used to volunteer at is a bit too far from work to make it practical, sadly

It's so sad that red heads/ green eyes are dying out!! Darn you dominant genes!!!

I'm vaaaaaguely redheaded. My dad's side of the family is full of gingers, but I only got a bit of it. I've got dirty blonde hair with a strong red tint. Still just a tint, though. But that's fine, I'm more a fan of dark red hair like Catherine Tate's than the light, light orange. Couldn't have gotten dark red from my family anyway!

Cherry can wear HIM's guinea pig on her head he's dark ginger.

I'm a brunette, but due to the European mix of blood in me, the tint of red shows when the sun hits my hair.

I'm pretty blonde. I have the brains to prove it ;D

@HIM: Oh sweet! Be sure to keep it managed because I've seen chicks who dyed their hair blue at some point, but then it started to fade and it looked more like a swamp green mixed with patches of faded blue. ick

Hubby likes to remind me every day how well I fit into the blonde stereotype ;D

I guess it is just suppressed here because I get more time to think and edit what I am about to say. You also can't see my physical klutziness.

The other guineapig does resemble a black and white wig but he's a bit smelly.


HIM's hair turns My Little Pony blue when it fades :XD

I'm blonde by Japanese standards. :lol: I'm really more of a light brown now that my hair has darkened over the years, but it's golden when the light hits it. I get asked a lot of my hair is natural or not and when I say that I used to dye it to make it even lighter, I get nothing but shocked faces. XD

My hair is the only out of my family that has stayed a fairly light blonde. My brother's is finally darkening towards my dad's brunette color. :C

But I'm also the only one who doesn't wear glasses now.

I guess I am just some sort of freak of nature in my family xD

I'm a brunette, though it was coppery when I was young. We're only Brunettes and Gingers in this (extended) family, with the exception of two nieces. We're almost all blue eyed as well.

I have "black" asian hair. xD

Brunette here. Pale skin, hazel (on the brown & green spectrum) eyes. No gingers in my family, sadly, just brown haired folk and a few blondes here and there.

And I am seriously jealous of anyone with legit green eyes. I had green contacts even at one point (yes, it's because I really do need contacts/glasses) and when someone complimented me on my amazing green eyes, I SO did not correct them. <3 I have green in mine, but it's not the same.

I've dated a ginger though <3 He was also a Kiwi :D

One of my friends is half phillipina, half swedish? Or something? So she has the genes for blond hair and blue eyes. So the plan is she marries another guy with blond hair and blue eyes, and the kids and grandkids get blond hair and blue eyes. XD

@Hatake: I hope she's not putting too much stock into that. Genetics is anything but a sure thing. :lol:

I have blondish hair and blue eyes, but if I were to settle down in Japan there's virtually no chance my kids would have hair or eyes as bright as mine unless I married another foreigner or a "ハーフ" (half).
