Tomorrow eez my birthday! And so I'm going to be hauled around by my family and forced to go out in public on a very commercial day to try to eat out etc.

I'm really not looking forward to it. Every seven years or so, my B-day falls on Mother's Day. It's kinda cute, except that going out to eat is a pain, since everyone else has the same idea. Bleh.

Why can't we just fix sphagetti and sit around the house watching a dumb movie or something? Eh. Family. Gotta love them? o.0'

Eh, I kind of missed my chance. Now our destination is all decided on and my mom is the type who hates last minute changes. I'd have to go shopping and get all the stuff to fix and then prepare most of it myself at this point - and what kind of birthday is that? XD

Aaaanyway. We should be ok. If the place we've picked to go is too crowded, we'll just go to some random Chinese place. Hard to go wrong with generic takeout right?

I'm back! Bet no one noticed I was absent for a day or so. My computer pooped out on me when I installed the latest Microsoft update. Stupid Microshaft.... XP

Anyway. Finally got everything up and running again, all the kinks worked out. Time to make a backup of the system and I'll be all set. ^_^

Yeaaah, pretty much. Blue screen of improperly installed doom. Couldn't even go to safe mode. But I'm better now. Got everything back up and running. It was a close call though. I dont' know where my XP disk is. If I'd needed a complete reformat I would have been in trouble. :XP

To answer your earlier question, my family and I went to a neat Japanese Steakhouse in a nearby town for an early dinner. We didn't tell them, but between the present and I guess stuff we said while we were waiting, the staff figured out that it was my birthday and brought out a free dessert with much singing.

I've read that some people who installed Vista had some error and had to reinstall XP to get their computer working again, so they had to pay for both licenses. Dx

What was the desert? O:

Hm, it was a large bowl of regular vanilla ice cream with a ton of whipped cream and lots of cherries. Melted really fast, and after eating so much there was no way even sharing we could eat it all.

But I did get a cute polaroid of me wearing a chef hat at the table. Well, I had it untill my mom stole it. XD

The presentation might be a bit silly, but the food at a Japanese steakhouse is awesome. ^_^

Mom and I are going to go back sometime soon for lunch so we can try their sushi platters. All sorts of veggie and rice rolls that sounded great.
