I think only some forms can. When I was taking birth control the one month before I started isotretinoin treatment, it didn't do anything for me except hurt my upper girl parts. And that is why I am secretly not taking birth control right now, even though my doctor told me I should be. But what she doesn't know can't hurt her. I might just die a virgin anyways. :XD

I loved birth control because it stopped those horrible heavy, painful flows. It does make your boobs ache sometimes, but I find just the time of the month does that.

What sucks though is it makes you gain weight and kills your libido. :/
