Can your parents still claim you there? :XD Here in Idaho, when you're seventeen years old, your parents can no longer claim you on taxes.

Yep you can! If they live at least 6 months or more with you in the year. They can only be claimed once, though so if your parents are separated you can only be 'claimed' once per tax return. It's up to age 18 and I think 23 if you're in college...it'll say in the rule book.

Well you would put a 0 if someone is claiming you, you're not eligible to be taxed (IE full time student, or you don't make enough TO be taxed) and you'd put a 1 if you're filing for yourself and you are eligible to be taxed.

You would only put more than one if you're claiming children, or other dependents living with you who cannot claim themselves.

well i am a full time graduate student. and i will be working part time. but i put down 1 in the allowances because of the "you are single and have only 1 job" line. >__<; i hope that's right.
