... (and people wonder why newer generations are being mindless....)

xD
I have to be forced to watch it... but I'm usually good after the initial "Noooo!!!!"

Jennifer 07-16-2010 12:28 AM

Actually, a lot of the newer shows are much more educational that the shows I watched as a kid. Cartoon Network isn't a good channel though if you're looking for educational shows. My four year old sister knows more Chinese than I do! Thanks to Ni Hao Kai-Lan !

Europe, home, bookstore. xD
I'm basically living at the bookstore now. Free AC. xD!

Isn't "Ni Hao Kai-Lan" like Dora the Explorer?

Jennifer 07-16-2010 12:50 AM

Europe huh? :)

Ni Hao Kai-Lan is somewhat like it, sure. But I really find it to be much better.

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 01:15 AM

Chinese? o.o I know one word from anime... Ni Hao... because it looks like it's used as a greeting... how much do you know Jen?

Jennifer 07-16-2010 01:18 AM

Mandarin Chinese. And well...I don't know ANY Chinese. So yeah. :XD

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 01:20 AM

 so we're pretty close on that... but then I'm bad with languages... @[email protected] my fiance though omg... she can crank out words from a language she started learning yesterday

Winter Wind 07-16-2010 01:31 AM

Windy's pure Chinese. :]

And can speak mandarin. And understand it.

And read and write to like...the extent of a 3rd grader. xD

Jennifer 07-16-2010 01:34 AM

I know a bit of Spanish, a tiny tiny bit of French and some Finnish. Honestly, if I could speak any foreign language fluently, I'd choose French. My second choice would be Chinese. Not really into the Japanese hype. I could learn it quite easily too if I wanted. But I am so lazy when it comes to learning new things. It took me years to start teaching myself how to play the guitar, and I'm still not too hot at it. Lazy Jen is lazy.

And dora and stuffu make my mind feel stupid.

Jennifer 07-16-2010 01:46 AM

Other than Ni Hao, I do not have a clue what that means.

Suona - something about having weapons on his tour bus or something.

Roxxxy - all colors. How much are you selling them for though?

Wow. That is seriously stupid.
I wouldn't doubt it with him, though. He looks like the type to do that.

I mostly watch SVU because of Mariska Hargitay. She is my favorite actress EVER!

lol Mariska Hargitay just makes me think of the Love Guru. xP;;

Hatake Ayumi 07-16-2010 01:54 AM

... I dunno who she is.
xD;;
No idea.

Japanese hype? When did that start? o.o I love Japanese and their culture... but when did this hype start? Did I miss it? D:

Jennifer 07-16-2010 02:11 AM

I've never even seen the Love Guru, heh.

Mariska Hargitay is so beautiful, talented and SMART! She can speak FOUR different languages! English, Hungarian, French and Italian. That's just awesome for someone who's busy memorizing scripts and whatnot.
Mariska Hargitay - Biography

watchu sayin' there? :gonk: no entiendo! D<

Poet - it just seems that so many people have become interested in the Japanese culture REALLY quickly. I'm not saying it's a bad thing of course.

Hatake Ayumi 07-16-2010 02:16 AM

Translation: Hi! how are you? You guys are so amazing!
xD

Ancient Chinese and Japanese cultures are fascinating.

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 02:32 AM

Japanese culture is pretty awesome =3

Huh... so it's recent? o.o huh... guess I missed that part... I've been a fan of Japanese since I was like 6

Jennifer 07-16-2010 02:36 AM

I am pretty amazing, aren't I? HAHA

I think Ancient Chinese culture is really amazing! It comes from watching too many documentaries.

Poet - it's hard not to notice it. All the technology, Hello Kitty stuff, art, anime, with some many people interested in that stuff, you can clearly see who is a fan and who isn't. Not that any one person is into ALL of those things. I'm just sayin'. Japan has made a pretty big name for itself.

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 02:42 AM

 true true... but I just love their culture... o.o so much respect there omg... *cough* reminds me of menewsha XD except less toyourface teasing

Jennifer 07-16-2010 02:44 AM

It's great that Japan is the most technologically advanced country, but as far as other things go, that place is just wack. XD

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 02:54 AM

 that's my second reason for loving it XD

Jennifer 07-16-2010 03:03 AM

I've rather love to travel to places like France, Denmark and Portugal.

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 03:07 AM

But... the toilets don't talk to you there... why would you go there?

Jennifer 07-16-2010 03:08 AM

Just as it should be then!

The Wandering Poet 07-16-2010 03:08 AM

 but I want my toilet to say "wazzap!!"...
