okay well. i was just over at another forum doing a check up on my topic. its an art shop. and for some ungodly reason someone tries to claim im tracing artwork just becuase it looks like the same style of kim possible and danny phantom and so fourth. i was like WTF are you serious. like omg that made me so mad. im so against that why would i do it. omg people online make me angry. so people of Mene have you ever been accused of something that you know you didn't do? |

I LOVE that show. Do you perhaps have an art shop here? X3 *ahem* That aside...ugh, I hate when people do that. Back in my Neopets days, my account was frozen because I used a reference to draw a picture for the Beauty Contest. I did not trace, I did not recolor...I just used a reference, because it was three years ago when I royally sucked at drawing without them. They said I had ripped and recolored it because I had a hard pixely lineart style and so did the piece I referenced. It pissed me off. Veeery badly. >.<; |

if you want anything or want to see examples you are more then welcome to send a private message over. yes i agree he is jealous. but then again he is one of those users who likes to start problems XD so maybe that is what he is trying to do. if it gets worse im so reporting him for harassment. it really does just drive me mad though.because i put a lot of time into what i do. i sketch everything out and then i get them on the comp and then i work from there. so if i trace anyhing its my own art XD |

and how can i be the artist saying no if its my art 0_o, i draw my own and then trace the lines in adobe to get the bold black outlines..thats what i do.so its not even tracing,its darkening. |

XD That happens a lot. Mostly in fights with others, but occasionally just out of nowhere. Funny to think about in general--but always wicked annoying when it happens.
Mostly people make up things that I've allegedly said. I think, "That doesn't even SOUND like me; what're you on?" Such as, "You PROMISED you'd do this!" ........... No, no, I didn't. Promises I take very seriously. I'd remember if I had made a promise, and I wouldn't make one that I thought I might not be able to keep. (My mother manages to turn me offhandedly saying that I might do something later into me promising to definitely do it. XP Tried pointing out the difference once.) |

I got accused of tracing neopets art because I use the same style for my cute cartoon animals. Yeah... That made me pretty upset. I do what my art teacher said and break animals down into basic shaes and I have been drawing like that since I was five. And neopets has only been around since I was 13.

yes, I was accused of keeping items to me and trying to sell them overvalued.. because of something I said and they misunderstood it. :|
I was really overwhelmed by the accusation, I knew what I said and I thought it was pretty clear, but apparanently my english isn't that good after all.. >.> I mean, if someone misunderstands me THAT badly, I must suck at it... I tried to correct her and told her that wasn't what I ment but she was all " oh I think it was pretty clear about what you said" and blah blah blah.. |
That sucks.
In general, I feel that people online aren't worth getting too annoyed over, but someone making accusations like that could stop other people from buying your art, so you have reason to be mad. Quote:

Hahah, that's silly. It's just a generic drawing style, you're not ripping anything off. It's no big deal, don't worry about it. People have accused me of tracing before too, just because of how I draw. I don't really care, I know what I can do so it doesn't matter. Besides, tracing drawings is actually good practice. Not that I do it, haha.

I agree with Disturbed66, they're just jealous (and if they can accuse you of tracing it, it must be a really good representation)
And yeah, I tend to get blamed a lot for doing stuff I didnt do. Such is the way of life with two siblings.... meh, in the end I just agree I did it and apologize. (even though sometimes I have NO clue whats going on).. gets me out of the situation quicker than if I argue -shrugg- |
I was accused of tracing and or copyiong Amy Brown's style of artwork. It really pissed me off.
The person said I was doing it for money, and I was doing remakes and pencil shadings of the art for a class I was taking at school. I would show them off online, and then get crit's. Some people are just jealous. Don't worry about what they say. |
