Good morning!
I missed out of the last hours of the event because of a horrible attack of migraine but I'm much better now and back to thread killing!

I hope everyone's doing alright? =3

Congratulations. monstahh`! ♥

Alexandrus Gambino 05-23-2008 07:21 AM

Hola, guys :D

Youn 05-23-2008 07:32 AM

Killing threads, taking names. How about you?

Youn 05-23-2008 10:19 AM

Same here, I suppose. And making lunch in-between. :XD

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 11:26 AM

Hi! Though I bet everyone's gone by now. T__T

I went to sleep for several hours to try to get rid of my headache again. Didn't work so well, but my boyfriend woke me up when he came home, I stole a bit of his food, and he rubbed my head and shoulders and that helped me out a lot.

So my headache is almost gone now.

Anyone here?

Youn 05-23-2008 11:59 AM

Seems like almost everyone I talk to today had a headache yesterday, me included.
Maybe it's the weather?

I'm here, but I'm not sure anyone else still is...

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 12:08 PM

It's allergies that are causing my headaches. T__T

I'm still here! It's 7:08am on Friday where I am. So, people could be at school, work, or sleeping. ^^;;

Edit: I see Kae lurking! -Pokes Kae-

Kaenai 05-23-2008 12:10 PM

i'm not lurking, i'm trying to get my connection to be stable, so i can actually be online and say stuff. D:

Youn 05-23-2008 12:14 PM

Cricket: Sorry to hear that. Is it pollen allergy?

Kaenai: You too? I hate it when my connection plays up.

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 12:25 PM

Yeah, pollen allergies. And sorry for randomly vanishing. My cats are playful and I have all four of them sitting around me and attacking my feet. So I went and got their little toy and I'm playing with them.

I'm about to let the rabbit out to join us, because he keeps trying to play even though he can't since he's in his cage. He looks so pathetic right now. It's so cute. X3

Edit: My cats got bored and abandoned me to go play with each other. I have the rabbit sitting on the floor and staring up at me with giant begging eyes. I think he wants my food (our rabbit likes human food). So I'm randomly playing games to earn gold. I had over two thousand gold before the Phoenix Jubilee started, and that gold vanished quickly. I'd like to earn it back. ^^;;

ah
there were two of them

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 12:44 PM

Yeah, there were. You didn't know that? o.O

I think looking at the size of this one should've made it beyond obvious that there were two different threads. =S

Kaenai 05-23-2008 12:54 PM

@ Youn :: it's weird; 5 feet from here, i'm connected, but can't do anything. right in this spot, i've got a perfect connection. xP

it's weird; now that event's over, i can't stop scanning the pages for orchids and buds! xD

Youn 05-23-2008 12:55 PM

I fell asleep. <.<
There's something very adoring about cats and rabbits playing.
We had a rabit who used to excape from our backyard to go play with a bunch of catws living at a foster home for cats not too far away from where we live.

The event ate up a lot of godl, but it sure was worth it (for me, at least). Good times, good times.

Kaenai: That's really weird, a bit like our connection. Are you on wireless? It behaves a bit odd at times.

And me too, I can't stop scanning the pages! :XD

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 01:05 PM

I'm still scanning the pages too. T___T

I still need to earn a ton of gold back so I can buy the items I want in the exchange (not that anyone even visits my shop, it's a bit annoying). I can't find what I'm looking for by digging through the different threads, and no one visits my shop to offer or haggle or trade or anything. It's getting really discouraging.

And I'm also trying to earn a lot of gold so I can buy store items again. Since I had over two thousand gold before the event started (actually, it was more like two thousand and eight hundred something gold), I've decided I'm not going to buy anything from the stores until I have at least three thousand gold.

However, if someone comes to my shop (Yeah right, like that's going to happen) and offers me one of the items I have on my buying list, I'll buy it from them if I have enough gold for it at the time.

Hopefully I'll manage to get all of the items I want from the exchange, shop items and all. I'm offering more than half for shop items. I don't see what's wrong. T___T

And I need to find someone to talk to me in my shop, just so I can keep it on the first page. Hopefully, that way, I'll manage to actually do business there.

Youn 05-23-2008 01:15 PM

Maybe everyone's just broke after the event?

I'll come over and talk to you in your shop, if you like. =3
Just be warned, I might get distracted from time to time, since I'm playing Tetris at the same time.

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 01:20 PM

It'd be nice if you could talk to me in my shop. ^_^

I'm playing Snake. I was playing Tetris, but it takes longer to make less gold. So I'm playing snake, because even if the game doesn't last long, I still end up with a small amount of gold. So it's okay, I understand. ^_^

Do you want a link to my shop, or are you okay with finding it on your own?

Youn 05-23-2008 01:21 PM

I'm horrible at Snake. I always ram straight into the walls. :XD
At Tetris I usually make it to lvl 11 or 12 per turn so it's decent for me.

Is it "Cricket's Corner"? (Sorry, I went thread stalking.)

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 01:25 PM

Yeah, it's Cricket's Corner. X3

Wow, I made a typo in my last post. I said, "It's be nice," instead of, "It'd be nice." I feel like an illiterate now. T__T

-Scurries off to fix it-

Youn 05-23-2008 01:27 PM

Pft, I make those mistakes all the time. I blame it on English not being my first language but I'm sure it's actually because it's on the Internet. If it had been an e-mail, I'd probably used a spell checker first...

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 01:30 PM

Firefox has a spell checker in it. It's not something a spell checker would usually find, unless you're using Microsoft Word. Which sadly, I don't have the version of it I love. I loved the one from the year two thousand. But all other versions of Microsoft Word just didn't work as well and were confusing as hell.

I don't think this computer even has the newest version. I don't know if it came with it or not. -Shrugs- This computer isn't quite a year old.

Microsoft Word might've caught that mistake on my old laptop (the only computer with it on it), but Firefox and Hotmail wouldn't have found that mistake. Because technically, it wasn't a spelling mistake. "It's" is an actual word. That's why.

Youn 05-23-2008 01:35 PM

Microsoft Word taught me a lot about the English language. It also taught me to never completely trust spell checkers. :XD

I use an online dictionary sometimes when I'm online but I try to get by without any external aid. Which might be a bit of a bad idea but I like to fool myself into believing I'm almost fluent.

Kaenai 05-23-2008 01:38 PM

I think after the event, people are trying to sell event items instead. Maybe you'll have better luck in a few days? o:

I never trust spell checking. I mean, it's usually handy if you make a lot of typos, but like Cricket said, they don't always catch it when it's an actual word, even if the word changes the whole meaning of the sentence. For instance, you might mean to say "I like kittens", and accidentally type "I lick kittens". It doesn't come up as wrong, but you can see the difference. xD

edit :: Youn, you're doing just fine. :3

Insane Cricket 05-23-2008 01:39 PM

Well, I can usually tell when English isn't someone's first language. They make certain mistakes with certain words. And you can tell the difference between a foreigner and a stupid English speaker that's just too stupid to use English properly.

I actually couldn't tell at all that it wasn't your native language. You do amazingly well with things that most foreigners would get wrong.

If you don't mind my asking, what's your native language?
