The television series is based on the novels/characters created by Kathy Reichs who is a 'real life' forensic anthropologist for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, State of North Carolina, and for the Laboratoire des Sciences Judiciaires et de Médecine Légale for the province of Quebec. Experiences she has had while working in forensic anthropology spawned her best selling novels. In her novels, the character DR. TEMPERANCE BRENNAN is based loosely on herself, and the television series is based loosely on her novels.

The tv series is about DR. TEMPERANCE BRENNAN (Emily Deschanel) a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, DC, and writes novels as a sideline, and SPECIAL AGENT SEELEY BOOTH (David Boreanaz) of the FBI's Homicide Investigations Unit. A former Army sniper, Booth mistrusts science and scientists - the "squints," as he calls them, who pore over the physical evidence of a crime. But even he cannot deny that the combination of his people-smarts and Brennan's scientific acumen makes them a formidable team.

Aside from Booth, Brennan is most comfortable with her equally brilliant colleagues at the Jeffersonian's Medico-Legal Lab.

Hello! :D FYI, hey you HOUSE fans did you hear? There's a crossover in the works... House and Bones Read about it!

I haven't seen this yet, but I keep hearing good things about it. Your recommendation intrigues me! I'll definitely give it a try.

I love Bones! I haven't seen it for a while though because they only show it on Sky one over here and I don't have sky at uni and they're so cruel and always put it on during the week when I can't come back for it. I've got the second series on DVD, I had the first one too but I had an incident on a bus where I ended up somewhere I didn't know at night and left every DVD I owned on the bus T_T.

I love this show. All of my family religiously watches it. We have tivo but that has not stopped us from rushing home to watch it. The last couple shows have made me cry though. I can't wait till next season.

My mother got me into it - though I've only seen a few episodes I really like it!
It's cute and I love how Booth and Bones talk! X3

I love this show. I have been watching it for a couple of years now. It will be interesting to see if and who they bring in for a new character next year.

I love this show, I got into it during season 2. Then I got the DVDs and got all caught up. Before that my mom was into it a lot.

I love Bones. Forensic's is a big interest to me. So when I saw this show I couldn't get enough of it.

I just started watching Bones on TNT about 3-4 weeks ago. I love it. Booth and Bones (would) make one of the cutest couples ever.

Bones is such a great series! I used to love watching it! My boyfriend bought me season 1 for my birthday and I've watched it twice in the space of a month :P

Has anyone else ever thought that the squints need a serious attitude adjustment? They were never very nice to anyone who came into their lab. I mean Poor old Booth puts his job on the line by removing evidence from a crime scene and gets blown up for Brennan but all the way up to that point all she ever did was snipe at him!

My favourite episode is the one where Bone and Hodgins are buried alive in a car. Followed by the Christmas episode where they're all locked in the Jeffersonian because of valley fever. And my favourite line is in the new Orleans episode when they're discussing Zombies
"JESUS IS NOT A ZOMBIE!" I dont know why but that cracks me up every time.

Oh I don't know I think the Squints (I love that name ^^) accepted Booth into their inner sanctum just not very many others.

I was so shocked by the season finale this year. Wow...

Not at first they didn't. Re-watch series 1, they were very hostile to him for pretty much the entire season.

I meant to say, eventually they accepted him. I've seen all the seasons a few times over :angel:

Oo!!! Yay!! Bones! I love this show! I can't wait for season four to come out XD.. I watched all of the episodes that are out right now >.O It's such a good show! It tops everything on my list! I'm still sad that they let Zach off the show by him killing someone ;o;

im a big bones fan!! hehe! i just got into watching bones around the third season. i like finished the first and 2nd season like over the summer and now im totally hooked on bonesXD lol!! its an awesome show! and the charaters are funny lol!

I am a major fan of Bones! It is one of my top favorite TV shows running. Great plot and characters, Brennen is easy to relate to, in a few ways. Over all, I loved the show the moment I watched it, I hope there is a good amount of seasons to come!
