His actions and words make her blush, and a gentle pink tinges her cheek as she opens her hand, gently placing it against his cheek. "You're too kind," she says quietly, still blushing shyly as she brings up her other hand to cup his face, bringing it down to meet him in a deep kiss, her tongue passionately meeting his.
"I do have to go." |
Sighing as he kissed her forehead, "Aye, ye'd prob'ly better hurry, I'll see ye in the morning." Smiling, he stroked her cheek before he turned and stuck his hands into his pockets. With a quick grin and a wink over his shoulder at Anna, he began walking down the hallway towards the Ravenclaw Common Room.
|
With a silly smile on her face that Anna just couldn't seem to whipe away, she turned and started skipping towards the Potions' classroom, humming under her breath.
Just as she reached the door, the joy that was bounding in her chest couldn't be contained anymore. Throwing her arms up in the air, her face upwards, she squealed loudly. "LUCKY!" |
Saiyuri and Drew looked up at her, blank looks on their faces, "What is?"
Saiyuri noticed Anna's look and grinned at Drew, "Liam." Drew burst out laughing, "No way, he didn't." "I think he did! Anna, tell us what happened!" Drew laughed as he grabbed three baskets and a piece of parchment from Professor Snape's desk, "Sai, come on, Liam doesn't have the courage to tell her such things! Don't get your hopes up," he added as he handed a basket and the parchment to her. Walking over to Anna and handing her a basket, "We have to go get ingredients from the gardens as well as the Forbidden Forest. We've got clearance and Finch is supposed to meet at the Main Doors after we're done getting everything from the garden." Saiyuri ran up the steps and looped her arm through Anna's, "Forget him, tell me everything!" |
Dangling a basket on her pinky, Anna grinned broadly at Saiyuri as she guided them down at complete ease, heading towards the Garden. "It's not polite for a girl to kiss and tell," she joked, eyes sparkling as she looked at Saiyuri over her thick frames, a happy smile on her face. "Which should tell you enough. Also..."
Her expression become more serious as she stopped and took Saiyuri by the hand. "Thank you for not believing I had anything with Josh. You were the only one." |
Saiyuri grinned as she winked at Anna, "I'm very glad Liam listened to me and talked to you. As for the Josh fiasco, never fear it with me. I knew all about the you know what before Josh ever showed you. He simply doesn't trust me when it comes to secrets.. I don't understand why," she thought out loud with a laugh.
Drew smiled and ruffled her hair, which happend to be down for the first time in months, "That's because you, Kalli, and Leane can't keep secrets from each other!" "That's besides the point!" Saiyuri laughed in defence. Sighing, Drew looked seriously at Anna, "I didn't believe you and Josh had done anything either, and not just because Saiyuri didn't believe it, which is what I'm sure you're thinking affected my judgement." |
With a small smile, Anna admitted, "You're right. I did think that. You jumped to conclusions the day before too, so I hope you don't blame me." It felt weird admitting the Kane thing, and Anna shuddered at the memory. "Let's get this chore out of the way now, though. I'd like to get a good nights' rest. I need to think about this situation with Josh and Kalli."
|
Saiyuri nodded, "I'm truly at a loss for what to do. I've tried everything, I'm afraid not even I can change Kalli's mind.."
Sighing, Saiyuri led the group and they collected the needed ingredients before heading nto the Forbidden Forest with Finch. When that tast was completed, the group, quite tired and exhausted, left the ingredients to sort in tomorrow night's detention. Saiyuri yawned as she clung to Drew's arm and left the Potions classroom, "I feel as if I could sleep for days..." Putting his arm around her waist, moving Saiyuri's arms to around his waist, Drew smiled, "Which is good, you hardly slept at all last night." A reposed Saiyuri laughed, "True. You know.. I'm leaving tomorrow morning... I really should get some rest before father gets here." Drew scowled, "Why is he coming?" "Drew, he's my father. My brothers are too busy to pick me up, so therefore my father must. You can't possibly expect my mother to! You know very well muggles aren't allowed in Hogwarts." Still scowling, Drew simply kept silent as he, Anna, and Saiyuri walked along the empty dark hallway for fear of saying something wretched of Saiyuri's father and hurting Saiyuri. |
"I think that's a lousy rule," Anna mused, following the couple calmly, her hands folded behind her back as she was almost pointedly looking at the floor instead of them. "I mean, obviously she knows all about the magic world. She should be included. I'd gladly give up my magic if I could give it to your mother and sister. Or anyone who wanted it, for that matter," Anna said it quite easily and without much thought, but to herself she knew it to be true. Magic was handy. Not necessary.
As she picked her way through the hallway - measuring her steps by the amount of tiles in between them - she added, "Try not to worry too much about Kalli, too. I know I can't dare her into winning Josh back..." she brought up her hands to put in mock-quotes as she said 'winning Josh back', before adding, "But I hope I can at least spark something in her that will make her hold on to him." |
Saiyuri smiled at Anna, "Thank you, that was really sweet of you to say. You don't know how many times I've sat in the library researching, hoping to find something that would allow my sister to have magic like me. It's not fair that she is my only sibling to not have magic, and she's my twin at that. It's as if we're not close anymore.."
Drew sighed, "Sai, we just have to face it. It's not possible. Maybe Lucia does have magic within her, but unless we know a way of releasing it, it's going to stay dormant - and I highly doubt the Hogwarts Library has anything that will help us find that out." With a glare at Drew, Saiyuri stepped away from him, linking her arms through Anna's arm, "He's very dreadful tonight, don't you think? As for Kalli," Saiyuri said with a sigh, "She's.. well.. to put it nicely, insecure about relationships. I mean, her parents aren't exactly a good example. Her father is an auror, and her mother has an affair with another man while he's away.. Kal feels as if history is repeating itself with her and Josh. You can imagine how this is having an effect on her. However, if there is anyone who can talk sense into her and show her her error, it's certainly you," added Saiyuri with a smile. |
With a sweet smile, Anna ruffled Saiyuri's haire a little. "I think you're putting a little too much faith in me - but I do hope you're right. Also..." As she looked over Saiyuri's head, her expression became more serious, staring at Drew. "Could there be a way for magic to still be dormant in her? I mean... if there is..."
|
Drew shook his head, "I honestly don't know. I've heard possible cases in other countries, but never of reliable families. Besides, if it were there, wouldn't someone be able to sense it?"
Saiyuri sighed as she held back tears, "Can we stop talking about it? You already said it's not possible, so lets just leave it at that..And if this were true, why didn't you tell me sooner so we could have researched it?!" Sighing, Drew looked down into Saiyuri's eyes, "Sai, we all know how close you are to your sister and how much you care about her, I didn't want to get your hopes up. I recently heard of a case over in Egypt though, which is why it's making me wonder if it's possible. It's the third case this century. Maybe, just maybe, there's a way to see if Lucia does have it. All three cases are within families with one muggle parent and one powerful wizard parent. Each family has many children, and out of those children, one is always muggle while the rest are wizards. Sounds familiar with your family, does it not?" Saiyuri stopped in the middle of the hallway, staring down at the floor as she mumbled her inquiry, "Find out how." Looking up, tears gently leaking from her eyes, "Find out and tell me immediately. I want to know everything about those families, is that understood?" Drew looked at Saiyuri, mouth agape due to a bit of shock, "Sai.. I.." "I don't care what it takes.. do it.." "Sai, come on, be reasonable.. They're in Egypt for God's sake! The other cases are in Ireland and Canda! You honestly expect me to fly there and get information?! You're crazy! I refuse." Saiyuri glared at him, "Then give me the addresses. Looks like I have a few letters to write and a few visits to make this summer." "Sai, you can't be serious! You don't know what kind of wizards these families are! They all tamper in Black Magic and the Dark Arts. I'm sure that's how they figured it all out. You honestly want to put Lucia in that kind of danger?" "What choice do I have? She's my sister Drew! If there's a way I can make us equal and alike again, I will!" "Even if it costs you your life?!" "It's not fair.." Drew put his arms around Saiyuri, bring her head to rest gently against his chest as he ran his fingers through her hair, "I know.. But honestly Saiyuri, you can't do anything at this point. I have friends that know about all three families, I'll send word to them and get more information about it. For all we know, it might not even be true." Saiyuri pushed Drew away, "Are they really so terrible that you won't tell me their names?" The look on Drew's face was all the answer she needed. "Why is it every year something terrible happens and we're the ones forced to deal with it." "I wouldn't exactly call this terrible, Saiyuri. And besides, we don't have to deal with anything. I already told you the information could be false. Let's just see what the mates over in Egypt have to say about that family. It may be more reliable than the ones in Ireland and Canada. I know for a fact that the one in Canada are of a murderous bunch. I'm not too sure on Ireland, but I know they've used unforgiveable curses on enemies before." Saiyuri sighed, "They're not very reliable then.. and if there have only been three cases this century, I assume it's terribly dangerous to attempt it.. if it is, we talk nothing of it, especially not near Lucia or my family." Drew nodded, "Fine. We won't speak of it until I find out more information. I shouldn't even have let it slip that I knew something if I knew it were going to cause this much trouble for you.." |
"For all we know," Anna added quietly, a bit upset that she'd caused the couple to get into somewhat of a fight, and silently vowing to wait and ask Drew in private in the future. "That untapped potential got free due to some horrible torment, that forced it out of them. Such a thing isn't even worth for consideration."
With a light glance at Drew, she chided him, "Also, don't assume you're causing Saiyuri any trouble. You act like you're her servant, not her boyfriend. She has the right to your opinion." After she'd said it, she knew it might have been better to keep her mouth shut. Biting her lower lip in minor annoyance at herself, Anna walked on, her mind elsewhere as she thought over these troubles. After a moment of silence, she added, "Also... I doubt if Lucia is missing out on much. This is all fun and games, I won't say it isn't, but..." With a light shrug, Anna looked at Saiyuri, hoping she wasn't saying something that'd set her off again. "The muggle world has its own attractions. Being a witch makes life easier on some accounts, but at the same time, being a muggle is about as fun." Hurriedly, she added, "Or so I'd imagine." |
Drew scowled, "I am not her servant! Well.. not technically.. my family is in the service of her father."
"I know the muggle world isn't terrible.. It's just.. Lucia has always envied the gift of magic.. If there were even a way for me to give my magic to her, I'd do it in a heart beat.." Saiyuri sighed, "And he's not my servant.. and I don't mean to treat him so.. Do I really treat you so horridly Drew-chan?" Saiyuri inquired as her eyes turned a deep misty blue and tears formed in her eyes. Carressing her cheek, Drew wiped the tears from her eyes as Saiyuri placed her hands over his and inquired, "Do I?" Drew shook his head, "No, of course not." Drew's tongue gently brushed over Saiyuri's as he kissed her tenderly. Saiyuri wrapped her arms around Drew's neck and leaned into him, making the kiss last longer. Drew kissed her once more before tucking a few whisps of hair behind her ear, "If you did, you never would have allowed that." Smiling, Saiyuri's hand slid into Drew's hair as she leaned in and kissed him once more, "Still.. if Anna believes I do and she's only known us a couple of days.. it must be true.." she added with a reluctant sigh. |
Groaning, Anna shakes her head, "You don't treat him that way, Saiyuri! He acts that way! You misinterpreted." Frowning at the couple, she made a mental note to simply shut up when Saiyuri was tired like that.
With a hand, she rubbed her temples, the fact that she'd been around people the entire day slowly catching up on her. No matter who it was, or how she felt about them, Anna needed her time alone. |
Twirling a whips of hair near her face, Saiyuri gently bit her lower lip, "Oh, heheh." Yawning greatly, Saiyuri tried managing a sentence, "I'm sorry Anna.. Why don't we all head to bed.. I seem to be making everyone upset with me at the moment.. and I'm really really sleepy..."
|
Tisking lightly, she nudged the older girl in the arm, "You're not making people upset. But going to our common rooms might be a good idea, though it's still fairly early for sleeping, in my book."
|
Saiyuri looked at Anna with tired eyes, but a grin on her face, "Since when is eleven at night too early for sleeping?"
|
With her tongue mischievously poking out between her teeth, Anna giggled, "Since I'm still on summer mischief time!"
|
Saiyuri and Drew both laughed at Anna's statement as they walked down the halls and neared the Gryffindor turn off. Saiyuri gave Anna a quick hug before wrapping her arms around Drew's left arm, "Even in the summer I'm not up at this hour. Mother's rule has always been that we must be in bed by, at the latest, 10 o'clock."
"Don't get into too much trouble on your way back, I don't think Fynn would appreciate points taken off of the house," Drew added with a wink and a chuckle. |
"Ah, he needs to get rid of that stick up his ass anyway," Anna laughed in return, hugging Saiyuri tightly before taking her leave. "Good night!"
|
"G'night!" Drew and Saiyuri called after Anna as they headed off in another direction towards the Ravenclaw Common Room.
Sighing, Saiyuri shuffled up the steps to her Dormitory after kissing Drew good night. Not even bothering to change into new pajamas or take her shoes off, Saiyuri plopped onto her bed and immediately fell asleep. Drew, on the other hand, wrote letters to his friends in Egypt to get more information on the family mentioned earlier before heading to bed himself. |
Passing through the main hall, it wasn't hard to spot Fynn in one of the chairs in front of the fireplace. Inwardly, Anna groaned. "Good night, Fynn." Pointedly, the brunette made her way to the stairs for the girls' dormitories, but halfway there was stopped by Fynns' hand on her shoulder.
Glancing back at him, her thunderous expression softened as she saw genuine concern in his eyes. "We need to talk," he hissed. With a mild groan, Anna rubbed her temples again, wishing for her escape. "Can we talk tomorrow morning? Please? I'm tired." After a moments' hesitation, Fynn stepped back, his hand falling off of his shoulder. "Of course - I'm sorry. Sweet dreams." Blinking, Anna went up stairs. "Yeah... sweet dreams." |
the morning light shined through the window of the Ravenclaw Dormitory on the girls as they woke up and began their day. Saiyuri yawned as she stretched and sat up in bed. Rubbing her eyes, she got up and got ready for the day, her long wavy hair bouncing as she walked. Feeling a bit lazy this morning, she brushed her hair and put a simple headband into her hair, leaving her hair down for the first time in all her years at Hogwarts. Sighing she slipped into her uniform and stuck her wand into her skirt.
Slipping off to the bathroom, she brushed her teeth just as Drew shuffled down the stairs, dressed, but his shirt was half tucked in and his hair was all awry. Still shuffling, he made his way to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, and fixed his shirt before making his way down to the Great Hall with his books for breakfast. There, he met Leane and Saiyuri. Looking to Leane, he inquired sleepily, "Where's Josh?" "With Kalli.. I had no choice but to let them talk..." Saiyuri sighed, "Let's hope it goes well.. Where are they?" "In the abandoned classroom in the dungeons near the Potions Room." |
A -very- angry Anna was making her way through the hallways. She was very much not entertained. She'd woken up earlier and had made her way over to a hallway Kalli would have to undoubtedly pass on her way to the Great hall. She'd stood there about 20 minutes before the first Hufflepuff had passed her. Immediatly, Anna'd clung to the boy in question to ask him if he could get someone to send Kalli out - only to hear that the blonde had already left.
Highly annoyed at the possibility of Kalli ditching Josh, she'd gone on a search for the couple, but without any luck so far. As Fynn suddenly appeared in front of her, Anna groaned silently, slowing down as she called to him, "I can't talk now, I need to find Josh and Kalli." "It's about them," he called back, not so patiently waiting for her to stop. Instead, Anna tugged him along by the arm. "Talk as we walk, if you must." |
