Liam looked up at her curiously, noticing her look, "How's it odd? Yer magic is incredible, it's no wonder yer a pure-blood. Unless," he paused a moment before continuing, "there's more than what yer tellin' me."
-------------------- Leane smiled as she hugged him, turning her head to the side and nuzzling her cheek against his chest, "There's a first time for everything. Isn't it strange how for four years we've wanted nothing to do with each other, and now here we are - we can't seem to break away from each other! No one has ever wanted me around this much except for Saiyuri. If it were anyone else, I'd have pushed them away and gotten annoyed with them for giving me this much attention. But with you, I'm very glad for it. It's a very pleasant change from the hatred you've shown me all this time. I think I could truly get used to this." |
"My magic is completely uncontrolled," Anna smiled, not noticing the curiosity on his face and simply answering his question. "And it's quite weird if you consider that the first time I held a wand was three months ago."
-- "It was easier to act like I didn't like you," he admitted, his fingertips entangling themselves in her hair lightly, loosening it in the process. "But what you're saying is making me really happy." His voice was soft, seemingly distant, though it was more because he was filled with emotion rather then anything else. "I know trust doesn't come easy to you... it doesn't come easy to me, either... but I'm going to earn back all of what I lost to you." |
Liam laughed, "Uncontrolled I'll deffinitely agree with, love. But three months ago?" With a smile, he took her hand, pressing it to his lips before resting it on his chest and stroking it gently with his thumb, "What about yer old school? Ye must have used a wand there."
------------- Leane smiled as a blush crept into her cheeks, "You act as if you've lost everything, when you really haven't. But you're right, trust doesn't come easily to me, nor do emotions in general - except for hatred and annoyance, of course. They simply come naturally with my defense, as you've already felt full force. But don't you dare, not even for one second, think you've lost everything with me. If anything, you've simply gained a larger, more permanent place within my heart." With a sigh, Leane broke away from Fynn and curled up on the love seat, her back resting against the arm, her arms wrapped around her legs pulling them close. Leane gently bit her lower lip before continuing, "Do you know why I stayed close to Josh from the moment you showed hatred towards me?" |
She blinked lightly, shaking her head. "I went to muggle schools all my life. This is the first time I've gone to a magic school." Her thumb caressed his warm chest underneath her hands, and she pulled at him lightly to bring his head into her lap. "I used to hold my mothers' wand sometimes, for the thrill. But that's about it."
------- "Because you felt safe with him?" He truly guessed at this, too relieved to hear that she held no grudge, and too dissapointed at having to let go of her. Leaning back against the other arm of the sofa, Fynns' eyes rested on her calmly, his arms lightly resting around the one leg he had pulled up. |
Liam looked up at her curiously, "Muggle schools . . . Why didn't ye attend a Wizarding school when ye turned eleven? Weren't ye curious at all 'bout magic?"
--------------- Leane shook her head, "No, not exactly. I mean, yes, he was like a brother to me, so of course I felt safe with him. But . . . it was mainly . . . well, how do I put this . . . It was mainly to make you angry with me. You see, you hurt me all those years ago by hating me due to simply being a Slythie. So I figured, the only way to get back at you, was to make you think I was in love with Josh. Seeing you loathe him so, simply because he had my affection, gave me hope that maybe . . . maybe you didn't hate me as much as you let on and simply showed hatred due to House Rivalry. Maybe it was too hasty, but what else could I do? It was the only thing I could think of at the time. So . . . maybe my actions have let you believe that you've lost everything with me, but in all honesty, you haven't lost a thing. I simply did everything I've done to get your attention and, occasionally, to receive those looks you let slip when you're looking at me, the ones full of affection and longing that are so rare and few. The ones that are only shown when you think no one notices you staring at me, usually when I'm with Liam, Drew, or Josh." |
"My mom..." It was hesitant, but after a look down into his eyes, Anna decided to be honest. "My dad died a little after I was born... my mom had to blame something, so she blamed magic." The brunette shrugged a bit and gave a sad smile down on Liam. "She didn't want me to learn magic - of course I couldn't help it, I mean, it's in my blood and I accidentally made some stuff happen, but..." Her fingers lightly brushed Liams' hair, and she was momentarily amazed at the texture of it. "But I didn't learn anything like spells until Dumbledore convinced my mother to allow me to go. I think it's why I'm so good at casting spells without saying them, or why I don't always need my wand to get certain things to work."
--- He gave her a light smile and reached over the distance between them to touch her hand. "I've never hated you. I don't feel like I've lost everything with you. What I do think is that we need to start over, and that we need to learn eachother all over again.... as for those looks..." A warm blush coloured Fynns' cheeks, and he grinned lightly as he said, "You never did catch mine, either." |
Liam sighed as he pressed her hand to his lips. Staring up at her, Liam looked at her with concern, "What happened to yer dad to make yer mum believe magic was the cause?"
----------------- Leane smiled as she took Fynn's hand into hers, turning it palm-side up. With a sigh, she began to playfully trace designs with her finger on his palm, "Fynn.. I don't want to start over. If we start over, it'll be like the past four years never happened. They may not have been as pleasant as the years to come will be, but they got us where we are right now, and I don't want to forget them. However, I do believe that I must stop fretting over the past. I now must fret over making sure I do not make the same mistakes again. All I want now, is to make you happy and make sure I never give you reason to hate me. I don't want to lose you now that I'm sure of having you. From now on, I don't want the looks you give me full of hatred - I only want them full of the affection I will try and earn, for I know I do not deserve your affection, but I will try to deserve it, I promise you that. I will do everything I can to make up for the years I've spent causing you pain with the childish things I've done to try and make you jealous. Please say you'll forgive me Fynn.. please.." Leane gently bit her lower lip, a tear rolling down her cheek as she closed her eyes and held back the tears that were sure to follow. |
She shrugged lightly, looking down at him with a sad smile. "Some freak accident, I have no idea. He was into more experimental magic, had all these theories,..." Anna's smile broadened a bit as she added, "I think he was really happy doing what he did. It's a shame that mom was too sad to realize it. I never really missed it, actually. I had a secret life, in a way, but..." Anna's shoulders rose again in a light shrug, and she reached up to push her glasses higher up on her nose. "I've been lucky and content."
--- "Hey hey hey," he immediatly shifted closer to her again, surprised at her sudden sadness. His hand immediatly flew to her cheek to wipe away the tears on them, his gentle eyes urging her to look at him. "Leane, there's nothing to forgive of forget. That's not what I meant. But... you're different from the Leane I fell in love with." Fynns' thumb reassuringly continued to caress her cheek, his chin lightly resting on her knees. "We've changed. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all over again, that's what I meant. I won't hate you, don't ever think I'll hate you." |
Liam sighed as he sat up, turning around to face Anna. As he motioned for her to come over and sit on his lap, he smiled, "I believe Saiyuri would 'ave adored yer father. She's just the same, only with potions. Though, yer mother has just cause in her not letting' ye 'round magic. In her mind, yer yer father's daughter, 'n' with all yer potential 'n' ability, it's no wonder she was worried. If ye got the notion into your head to be experimental without realizing the extent of yer power.." he trailed off as he sighed, "Yer mum was just bein' precautious. I must say though, I'm very greatful t' Dumbledore fer talkin' yer mum into lettin' ye come here, I don't think we would 'ave met other wise."
------------- Leane's eyes slowly opened, immediately looking into his. A gentle smile began to creep across her lips as she truely realized just how much she meant to him, "Really? I'm really glad to know you still love me so much, and truely do wish to know everything that's happened with me the past four years. And I'm even more thrilled to hear you say you don't hate me.. you have no idea how much that means to me Fynn.." As another tear fell from her eyes, she let out a soft laugh as she quickly wiped it away, "Look at me, I'm acting so foolish.. What on earth is to become of me. It seems whenever I'm around you, my guard drops and I'm quite helpless. You surely will be the end of me, Fynn MacMillan," Leane added with a teasing smile. |
The brunette blushed at that, almost shyly shifting her position to crawl in his lap, though not actually sitting down in it. "We probably wouldn't have met, alright." Her butt landed softly on the grass, her legs draped over his lap as she leaned back a little. "But I don't think there should be fear of me ending up like my dad. I'm a cautious one."
------- He grinned lightly as he teased, his finger going down her nose lightly to wipe away another tear. "You're a girl in love, you're allowed to fall to pieces." The smile on his face was smug, but content, as he added in a more gentle tone, "And loving you pretty much negates me hating you. So don't worry about that anymore." |
Liam smiled, "Well, I'm glad t' hear that. It's bad enough havin' t' worry 'bout Sai when she has muggle chemicals or wizard potion ingredients around. I don't think I'd have a moments rest if ye started experimentin' too. Just promise me ye'll be careful 'til ye can control yer magic bet'er, alright love?"
------------ Leane couldn't help but laugh, "Fynn, it still doesn't give me a right to fall to pieces like this. This is all your fault you know. If you hadn't tortured me, I wouldn't have cried this morning before Sai left, which brought my guard down completely, allowing me to cry when Saiyuri left. And now because of you, my guard is even more broken, allowing me to cry once more!" With a smile, she raised her hand to Fynn's cheek, brushing it gently before she placed it upon the nape of his neck, "However, I'm very content with knowing you love me, so I forgive you." |
"I can't promise you that," Anna admitted honestly, smiling at him from across his lap. "But I can promise you won't have to worry about me. Is that alright?"
--- A bit overwhelmed by this, Fynn looked confused, his head tilting lightly to lock her wrist between his head and shoulder. "You'd better," he muttered lightly, pouting a bit, "Because I had no intention of doing that." |
After placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, Liam nodded, "Aye, but ye know I'll worry anyway, especially if ye get hurt. Jus' make sure ye don't get yerself killed, alright love?"
---------------------------- Leane smiled as she playfully twirled the hair near Fynn's neck between her fingers, "Of course you didn't. How were you to know how I've felt all these years? You simply frustrated me by acting kind and sincere when the day before you loathed me completely. That's when I got confused and broke down to Saiyuri, and then you infuriated me more when you were with Drew. I'm still going to kill him when I get my hands on him," she added with a scowl. Noticing Fynn's pout, Leane softly laughed before briefly kissing his lips, "Don't fret, love, I'm not angry with you. I'm glad you caused me to let my guard down while around you. It allowed me to tell you everything I've been holding back all these years." |
"That's not something you have to be concerned with," Anna smiles, brushing her cheek against Liams' in gratitude for his worry. "Weeds are hard to exterminate."
--- His arms snaked around Leane's waist as he pulled her close, placing his hand on her head to hold her against his chest. "And I'm so glad you did." |
Rolling his eyes, Liam began tickling Anna's sides, a playful grin creeping across his face, "Yer not a weed, love. 'n' don't let me hear ye callin' yerself one."
---------- Leane sighed contently as she allowed her body to lay gently upon his, nuzzling her cheek against his chest, "So am I." With a soft laugh, she inched her head up Fynn's shoulder and placed a kiss on his neck, "I'm also glad you're so fond of holding me - it feels wonderful, having your arms around me so affectionately." |
Gasping in surprise, Anna fell down, her body shaking with laughter. "Ahahaha - no... haha! Stop it - ahahahahaha! "
--- As Fynn blushed over her words, his arms closed around her a little more tightly. "I don't think I could ever get sick of holding you." |
Liam laughed, yet he continued to tickle her as he spoke, "I'll stop if ye stop actin' like yer nothin' 'n' talkin' about yerself as such. Yer not a weed, yer anythin' but."
------------- "You'll never hear me complaining," Leane whispered, her breath brushing his neck as she spoke, "I'll always be looking forward to it." |
The brunette rolled around while giggling, her arms flailing lightly to try and keep him from tickling her. "It's...ahahaha! - part of my... mwahahahaha! - character....Teeeeh! LIAM!"
---- The breath in his neck was too much, and he shivered lightly, filled with warm, content feelings. "I'm glad to hear it. Keep that in mind when I randomly hug you in the hallways." |
Liam laughed, but he did stop tickling her to allow her to breathe easier, "Aye, but it's sumthin' we must cure ye of. Yer be'ter than ye think ye are, trust me."
--------------- Leane smiled as she kissed his neck, "I won't mind, as long as you kiss me before you let me go." |
Panting lightly, Anna beamed up at him, her hands closing behind his neck to pull his face closer to hers. "When you tell me that, I almost believe it." Her lips briefly brushed against his, before her head falls back again, the Belgian girl still trying to catch her breath.
--- "Well I don't know about that," Fynn smiled, twirling a lock of Leane's hair around his finger. "Once we start that, I may never let go again." |
Liam smiled as he placed his hand behind her head, lifting it back towards his face as he spoke in a serious tone, "Ye should believe me. 'n' if ye won't believe me, ask anyone! Leane, Fynn, Drew, Sai, Josh, Kal - any one o' them'll tell ye what I told ye. If ye refuse to believe me, believe them."
---------------- Leane softly laughed, "I was counting on that." |
"It's part of a self-defeatist nature, dear one," Anna smiled warmly at him, her hand caressing his cheek. "No matter who tells me, I won't ever believe me, until I've been told often enough."
-- Fynn smiled down at her, his head tilted lightly. "Glad to see you're still as devious as ever." |
Liam smiled as he placed a kiss on her cheek before whispering in her ear, "Then it looks like I'll have t' tell ye 'till ye start believin' me."
--------------- Leane smiled as she gently bit her lower lip, "Hmmmm, that I am. But isn't that why you love me so much?" |
Anna smiled at him and nodded, her head tilting lightly against his as she brought her arms around his shoulders to hug him close. "I'll look forward to that."
------- "One of the things," Fynn laughed softly, bringing his hand up to cup Leane's cheek. "Though there's about a million things about you that I love even more." His lips lightly brushed against hers, his eyes closing as he took in her scent. "Let's stay here a bit longer?" |
Liam smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. "Mmm, now tha' we have tha' settled," he said as he kissed Anna's cheek, "how 'bout a swim?"
---------------- Leane smiled as she pressed her lips against his, "What made you think I was thinking about leaving?" With a sigh of contentment, Leane snuggled closer to Fynn and inquired softly, "What do you love most about me?" |
