I don't wear them everywhere, don't fret! For day to day stuff I tend to wear ankle boots with a very small heel, or sneakers if I am running about with my daughter... but if there is the slightest excuse to dress up, out come the stilettos! These are actually pretty close to mine, with the clear heel, except that the tops of mine are silver and sparkly, with a strap running up the front of my foot and my heel that joins to an ankle buckle-up deal.

Now that's just insane to the thirtyfifth degree...

RainbowSuicide 06-02-2008 01:33 AM

oh wow Arkeyla my sisster has thoughs shoes XD lol, fact alot of her shoes are that high

Cookie.Dough 06-02-2008 01:49 AM

hahaha... the only blisters i've ever got were all on my hands- from the monkey bars back in elmentary school. xD but yyes... beauty does take a lot of effort and sacrifices. hahaha.

RainbowSuicide 06-02-2008 02:08 AM

lol I us to get blisters from that too

IndiGlo 06-02-2008 02:23 AM

It's pretty fun having to wear heels during the whole day and then having to wear not-quite-broken-in-yet soccer shoes for a game that night.
Fun fun...oh well, I keep my safety pins and band-aids handy if and when I do get blisters.
I can't not pop them.
^ ^;;

RainbowSuicide 06-02-2008 02:28 AM

I think my whole life we've never had band-aids in my house O.o

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 02:28 AM

Oh, ouch...

The girl I took to my prom had the same complex. She made her own dress with one small, well hidden pocket inside, and then took advantage of the several pockets in my tuxedo that I wasn't using. :)

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 02:30 AM

Complex? Well how many times have you been expected to carry around something that would better be suited for a pocket eh? :P.

The dress I had had two, good-sized pockets that I could tuck my hands into, but they weren't visible... just because that was easier to do.

Saisei 06-02-2008 02:33 AM

Actually, you're barking up the wrong tree, I've often been "that guy" who's constantly carrying a messenger bag, laptop bag or backpack. I personally love the convenience of being able to keep more than just the essentials on me. Otherwise it'd just be wallet, notebook, pen, keys, phone, which is fine some of the time, but I need more occasionally.

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 02:35 AM

No, I get it lmao. I begrudgingly carry a bag to school, besides my bookbag. It's a messenger bag, though... It's just annoying when nothing has pockets! That's more what I was talking about.

Saisei 06-02-2008 02:43 AM

That's fair enough, I guess. I'd be unhappy if I didn't have any pockets whatsoever.

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 02:51 AM

Exactly, and a lot of women's stuff, particularly formal stuff has none at all... it's "unseemly" or something. :roll:. Because many women carry purses or handbags etc. as accessories.

Saisei 06-02-2008 02:59 AM

Plus for many women the handbag or clutch is as important to the formalwear as the actual formalwear. (stereotypically speaking, of course.)

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 03:01 AM

Well yes, that's what I'm getting at. Hence why it's difficult to find things that don't sell to that group...

Maverick 06-02-2008 03:43 AM

Owwie~! @[email protected]

I bought these new $15 high heels and wore them to work for 6 hours.
By the end of my shift, I threw off my heels. D;
Dun' tell mah boss!! Shh!! xD

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 03:59 AM

Why'd you buy them?

Maverick 06-02-2008 04:04 AM

I didn't have any dress shoes to wear for work. xD
And they were the only ones in my price range. @[email protected]'

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 04:05 AM

Now that's just sad... not for you, I mean, for the companies. I got a pair of saddle shoes for $18 (I think) from Payless, but I doubt that fits your work criteria...

I'd find an alternative pair or an alternative job xP.

Saisei 06-02-2008 04:05 AM

Does your job involve standing on your feet or walking for long periods? If that's the case, a pair of flats would've probably been a better choice.

Maverick 06-02-2008 04:09 AM

Well, I work behind a desk so it doesn't really matter much. I just didn't have work shoes that matched my outfit. Kinda silly, but yeah. Sometimes I have to go on the floor to refill stuff, but the black flats that I do have don't look good with black capris. xD

And I did try to look for another job. Job hunting's been hard these last few months. D;

poet`s playground 06-02-2008 04:10 AM

Well then it probably would be a good idea to just settle with the shoes that don't go xP.

RainbowSuicide 06-02-2008 04:37 AM

yeah i would rather have shoes that felt good then shoes that hurt my feet and have to take them of just cause they looked good

Saisei 06-02-2008 04:43 AM

This is where it's (once again) so AWESOME to be a man.

Functionality and fashion cross again and again in the world of male footware, and it rocks. :)
