Favorite Movie Soundtrack?

Ah, yes. Movie soundtracks. xD

Personally, I LOVE Titanic's soundtrack. <333
Anything with instrumental flow~.
The Guardian also has a good soundtrack.

I don't think this topic has been made--I checked the catalog, but I didn't see it on there. If there is one, please lock this thread. xP

Shira Hitsugaya 06-06-2008 12:55 AM

Julia Caesar 06-06-2008 02:02 AM

Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Especially Pirates of the Caribbean. I love the music.

Mint Car 06-06-2008 05:14 AM

If you are talking scores it would be probably either Pan's Labyrinth or Romeo and Juliet Volume 2. That being said if you include all soundtracks it would be Juno or The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Saisei 06-07-2008 12:01 PM

When making the list in my head, I completely overlooked the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.

Given I'm a sucker for musicals, My Fair Lady, the Sound of Music, Sweeney Todd, Rent (original), Marry Poppins and Chicago are all right up at the top. I'm also a huge fan of the original Star Wars soundtracks for all three original movies.

Ancasta 06-09-2008 04:03 AM

The soundtrack to the original Crow movie would have to be my favorite, although (oddly enough) the soundtrack to Batman Returns is a close second.

Clavietika Tres Ojos 06-09-2008 06:44 AM

My three top favorites are the soundtracks to 28 Days Later, Romeo + Juliet, and Amelie Poulain.

Purple Rocker 07-15-2008 10:03 PM

My favorite movie soundtracks are The Sound of Music, Rent, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Across The Universe, and Moulin Rouge.

Man, I love all musicals...
AND soundtracks. ;-; Choose, you say?
Hrmm...
Welps, Definitely Sweeney Todd, and Across the Universe... and maybe Hairspray?
I also love the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, and Corpse Bride, actually. xD
That's just the nutshell. I'm a sucker for movies with good scores. >o<;

Queen of the damned had a really good soundtrack. A lot of really good bands go together to make it and it was all run by Jonathan Davis from Korn. He wrote a lot of the songs on the soundtrack but for the CD he had other people like Marilyn Manson sing the songs. Even thought Jonathan Davis sung them for the movie.

KatMagenta 07-17-2008 06:07 PM

Yeah, if musicals are included I would have to say Rocky Horror Picture Show. Or Shock Treatment. It took me ages to track down a copy of the Shock Treatment soundtrack so I could hear the songs without having to either watch or skip through the film.

My favourite soundtrack from a 'proper' film though is The Fifth Element. I don't normally pay too much attention to the music in a film, but I noticed the instrumental music just watching the film.

I like the music on the Juno soundtrack (anything with Belle & Sebastian is automatically amazing) but I think it feels more like a compilation or a mix tape than a film soundtrack.

Rad Lionheart 07-19-2008 07:22 AM

My favourite movie soundtracks?
Pink Floyd The Wall and Heavy Metal.
I like classic rock, so yeah. :0

Love Hikaru 07-20-2008 09:21 PM

I love the soundtrack to Queen of the Damned as well as the ones for both the Underworld movies.
I also like stuff like Nightmare Before Christmas and Grease with more musical-stuff. Rocky Horror Picture Show is pretty amazing, too.

Kazeai 07-21-2008 07:47 PM

Personally, the music from August Rush is my favourite movie soundtrack.

Each song implants the scene of whatever was going on in yer mind as you listen to the calm and yet exciting instruments be played. My favourite songs are the ones with the guitar because I loved Evan's face as he played around with the strings, finding a new way to play the guitar.

Juno and Sweeney Todd are the best, ever.

Angel of the Clow 08-03-2008 10:11 PM

Star Wars is probably my favourite soundtrack, I LOVE IT

Shiny Coffee Fiend 08-03-2008 10:53 PM

I love the recent Ironman movie's soundtrack to death. It's got the symphonic sound I love, and the heavier style of rock - combined, it's amazing. I think one of the best things about the movie was the soundtrack! <333

Also I've recently gotten addicted to the Doctor Who soundtrack(s), but that's not technically a movie so it's sort of beside the point... Still, though, worth mentioning. :3

Toss up between, Nightmare Before Christmas, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Going by growing up I go with Nightmare Before Christmas.

blitzy 08-05-2008 01:04 AM

I love the soundtrack for the X-Men movie. The scores from it had a lot emotion to them.

I also like the Digimon soundtrack, the songs are just so catchy and upbeat, the movie itself wasn't so good but I can't help but love the soundtrack.

Also The Lord of the Rings. Again the music was just so beautifully done.

Emira 08-05-2008 02:09 AM

I really like the Harry Potter, Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks, but I have to say that Lord of the Rings takes the cake. I used to fall asleep to it for a year, it seems.

Another soundtrack I really like is Underworld. It's got Finch, A Perfect Circle, Renholder, Skinny Puppy, and other bands that I can't think of at the moment.

FrostsHellion 08-05-2008 03:01 AM
