it's MY money. >:U
alright, so i just spent about a month saving up for this cute little shirt i want from japan. it's adorable and great for the summer. i showed my mother the money and asked her to take the money and use her credit card (i don't have one) and she told me to buy something else instead. i asked why and she said "just because". well, hello. it's my money. i think i can do whatever i want with it.
i bet you anything if my other sister had asked for it, my mother would have said yes in a heart beat. why? because my sister's the little angel (not really. she's a total ass to me) and i'm not. something like this ever happened to you? would you be mad if it did? am i being unreasonable? |

As a dubious human being, I must ask where your money came from, as these stories often end with "well, it was money my parents gave me" so I figured I'd clear that off the bases right off the bat. :)
|
Well, it costs extra for shipping and handling, and also some websites can steal your card number and identity
happened to me :( |

see, that used to be me since i'm the youngest. now it's my oldest sister who acts like she's the youngest. >_> she brings a doll everywhere with her and talks to it. -.- Kinmotsu well, my mother gives me lunch money for school, right? so i packed a lunch every day instead of spending it. it took a while since it was lunch money, but i eventually saved up all 38 dollars. Twinrix i included the shipping and handling, so that isn't an issue. i made sure to check out the store completely first. they've been selling for years and the customers seem very happy. |

oh, and it's paypall. x3
thanks for reminding me. >w< iRandall yeah. she dresses up like she's five and whines all the time. >_> and my other sister's just... my god. she'll come into the room and call me fat then i'll turn around and say it right back to her and she'll burst out of the room crying. |

My younger sister's laugh at being called fat, but you can't call her ugly. My brother does that all the time and it pisses me off because he always does shit to piss them off and make them cry and yell. And my younger sister always exaggerates things. My baby sister always wants to get her way so she screams if she doesn't as I said before. He always does both; I swear he loves to hear them cry. |
I shop designer though with some independant companies
they don't use paypal, not a lot of sites do, only credit card. |
She gave you the money to spend, so you have the right to have a choice to what you spend it on. But my mom does the same thing to me when it comes to my money and what I want to spend it on. She's always like "Spend it on what you NEED." Well, there's nothing I really need, so I like to purchase things that I WANT. And its nothing expensive either, its always 20 or less.
Agh, moms. :] |
That's odd. Can't you tell her you're going to buy something else and then get the shirt instead? I know it's deceitful and I shouldn't be telling you to do it but, it's strange that your mother won't let you buy the shirt but, might let you buy something else. It's very wrong in my opinion to favor one child over the other, parents should love their kids equally.

i'm glad i don't have younger siblings. like, really glad. x__x everyone i know whines about them. Twinrix dayumm. D: well, that's why i don't do that. i don't have enough money anyway. >w< thoughtless hey i know you. ^o^ well, it's $38, but it is still my money. plus, it's from japan, so y'know. ofcourse it's going to be a bit. Yeah well, she wants me to buy things from canada. everyone thinks my clothes are so weird and they want me to buy "normal" things. "i'm sure there's something like that here." well, apparently there isn't. either way, i want it 100% japanese. i'm weird like that. >w< |

i know you're new so i'm ganna warn you, watch out for the double posting. o.o not exactly liked here on mene. ANYWAY;; hahaha. x3 there are these $100 boots i want. ; 3; and socks. and dresses. and bloomers. and petticoats. and- -passes out- |
So you just saved your lunch money?
Hmmm.... well, I don't know. The argument could go either way. On the one hand, she gave you money for the purpose of lunch. It'd be kinda like if she gave you money for grocereis and you bought a new pair of jeans. On the other hand, she did give you the money. |
No, you're not being unreasonable. My own mother is exactly like that, actually.
Her excuse is that I don't work hard enough and don't help out around the house. It's like she forgets who does the dishes, vacuums, dusts, and tidies up the house. The only I ask for is money so I can get to class. I hardly ever buy clothes, books, videogames, or anything for myself. I have to beg for money, just to get to class. It wouldn't be as bad if I could get a job, which my mom thinks I'm just not trying hard to get. Yet I've applied to dozens of places, had a few interviews.. Nothing. Quote:

iRandall: I know exactly what you mean, there's so many DVDs that I want, I can't ever remember the ones that I want when I actually have money to buy them. xD |

well, when my sister was younger, she did it and my mother thought it was great so she'd let her buy whatever she wanted. it's just like how she let my sister get tons of piercings and i'm only allowed one piercing on each ear. >_> Ariel well, it's sort of a reflex nowadays. i mean, someone comes in a room to call me fat ofcourse i'll have a reaction and my reaction just happens to be saying it back to her. >w< iRandall haha. x3 i always wanted a younger brother. so i could hold his hand when we cross the street and stuff. i'll just have to wait for my own kids. thoughtless it's just a rule so people don't spam up the place. >w< |

Usually when I do make any money I end up having to give it to my sister or my mother to pay for bills and such. I don't really buy myself anything that would cause a hassle in the money department. ._. But if I could I'd most likely not look like I've run into a shredder. -pats jeans-
Of course I'd be mad! D: I'd probably wave a stick at my mother and then hide my money somewhere. Sure it'd childish but still! I earned it and I outta get what I'd really want. :C If people think you're being unreasonable then they'd most likely think I'd be unreasonable. Personally, I think you're fine. |

I don't think you're being unreasonable at all. I mean...if the site is trustworthy, and you gave her the money, what is the problem? >.<; As for me, my mom always takes my money, because she thinks it's too "degrading" to ask for money from my dad, and she REFUSES to try and find ANY way to make money herself. And, you know, it's totally NOT degrading to mooch off your daughter, a college student, who doesn't even HAVE a job at the moment thanks to an injury. Not even when she may be facing surgery, IS injured, and desperately wants to buy something USEFUL to keep herself from being bored out of her mind while she's recovering. Nooo...nothing unreasonable, immoral, selfish, or degrading about that. >.>; *ahem* Sorry for that ramble...but the point is, I feel for you on the whole parents + money issue. Thank god I have my own debit card. |
I just DIY because I have bad luck with getting clothes off the internet.
