I'm not sure about that... Gaia's done a lot lately to change it up.

I've been with gaia for years though...

I personally think this place is WAY better than Gaia. Everybody here seems to know each other somehow and EVERYBODY is nice~ We are nice to the fresh meat too~ XD
Besides the fact that there are less hackers and the Mods are up and personal (not the bad way.... The way in which they actually talk to us~~~ And not through announcements!! In threads!!!)

Since you said you were from gaia I am going to point out that you should read the FAQ link at the top of your screen. It has links to the site rules, and the forum rules. Since they are VERY different from Gaia's rules it would be best to read them. ^^;;

I visited gaia about 3 days ago after being gone for months, turns out 3 of my friends had labeled me a princess. it was slightly amusing. XD

Here is a fine example. Notice the humor in her post, the beautiful avatar, the welcome to menewsha call that is a trait in most Moderators. Also, the fact that she points to the FAQ, another trait. You can also tell mods from normal players by their colorful, bolded names and the sub-title underneath their name.

In all seriousness though, yes mods are everywhere, it makes people easier to keep track of, and us easier to get a hold of. If you ever need help with anything pm a mod. We will be happy to assist in whatever way we can. <3

I didn't find out about menewsha on gaia though mass majority of people on avatar sites have there connections ;)
Menewsha has alot to offer from there quirky community,interesting titled thread and user run events like the summer pool party!
The shop map layout is pixelated and awesome and many items to spiff up your avatar.
We got games for the gamer in all of us to classic games like snake and tetris.
This site is very fun and easy to embrace if you know what I mean *laugh*
So have fun be considerate and post as much as you can. Don't let a interesting though be untyped!
