Yeah well a lot of good parents do. Because it gives the kid confidence instead of teaching them they'll always loose.

Haha yeah for a few minutes xD;; its like what IS that.... P: Thanks <3 Your's is very *gasp* Snowy. xD Who would've guessed?

Snowe 07-10-2008 12:45 AM

They won't always lose. One day they'd have played so many times that they'd eventually learn to beat their parents xD

Yeah, ah well. I like your Avi's look ^.^ Yar, though today I think I'm a snow bunny n.n

Elegant Feather Duster 07-10-2008 12:47 AM

Yupyup! But I mean it's the mentality of it. Raising a kid with self confidence or a kid who believes they arent good enough to ever 'win'

Thanks. <3 Hehe snow bunny! *feeds carrots* =O

Snowe 07-10-2008 08:12 AM

Well thats true, though it doesn't really matter anymore, does it? Kids in school don't win anymore. I know at my sisters sports day everyone that takes part in a race end up 'winning' so there's no loser. Its no fun anymore.

*Munches on carrot* =n.n=

Elegant Feather Duster 07-10-2008 08:15 AM

Yeah that always kind of bugged me. Especially when I put in tons of effort to win and then they're like, oh it doesnt matter everyone gets a prize. >: Im not very competitive by nature but I still felt like I deserved something for trying.

*pets* n.n

Snowe 07-10-2008 08:19 AM

I remember my sports day at school was a really fun day. The whole of the school was split into four teams and we used to compete. Winning team got gold certificates and a little trophy to keep until the following year. It is kinda dishearting when you put in so much effort to win, then are told it doesn't matter because everyone wins. Its just to make the losers feel better. Bleh to it.

*Hops around*

Elegant Feather Duster 07-10-2008 08:25 AM

Yeah we had track and field. There were a bunch of silly easy events and the winners got ribbons. But so did everyone else. But they went up until 7th or 8th place. xD Honestly who wants to remember they were 8th in a race of 8 kids anyway? Also the "participant" ribbons for everyone else were also silly. *laughs* I threw them away before my parents could have at them.

*puts out a water dish*

Snowe 07-11-2008 01:13 AM

We probably had the same sort of thing. I remember the younger years in the school had a dress the 'baby' race. They had to run along the track, collecting the babies clothes and at the end, they had to dress up the doll and run through the finish line. XD Heh. 8th out of 8 runners? Last place, 8th just makes it a little easier on the slow kid. Ah well. The good old days xD

*Hops into the water dish* =n.n=

Elegant Feather Duster 07-11-2008 02:46 AM

Ah ha ha! That sounds absolutely hilarious to watch my god. It's not a kids sport by any means, but the strangeness reminds me of chess-boxing.

*laughs* You're supposed to drink that! But I suppose playing in it works too....

Snowe 07-11-2008 08:14 AM

Chess boxing? Wow.. the world really has gone mad xD

*Splashes around and chitters*

Elegant Feather Duster 07-11-2008 08:17 AM

Hahaha yeah it's a very very strange sport. O.o;; My friend hopes it gets televised so he can see it live.

*pets* ^.^

Snowe 07-11-2008 11:04 AM

Lol. Wouldn't be long then before people all over the world start gamblinb on it.

Elegant Feather Duster 07-11-2008 04:32 PM

Hahah oh yeah it definitely seems like a betting sport to me. P: It's like a pitt-fight style sport only for nerds.

*petpet*

Snowe 07-12-2008 10:16 AM

Lol yeah. You think people make bets on chess tournaments and such? Which nerd will win?

*Squeaks*

Elegant Feather Duster 07-12-2008 04:12 PM

They probably do. *shrugs* People bet on all kind of things.

*laughs and picks you up*

Snowe 07-13-2008 12:17 AM

Yeah, thats true. People are always saying 'I bet you...' and so on.

*Nuzzles*

Elegant Feather Duster 07-13-2008 12:39 AM

Yupyup.

So... I bought a katana today. 8'D *laughs* Didn't plan to but I did and I like it.

*petpet*

Snowe 07-14-2008 01:19 AM

-Has become addicted to WoW again- -_-;;

A katana? Those are always fun to own xD

Elegant Feather Duster 07-14-2008 02:08 AM

xD;; Oh dear oh dear...that terrible addiction.

Yupyup It's fun to play with.

*feeds little carrots*

Snowe 07-14-2008 08:25 AM

It is. But I have no life anyway so.. meh xD

I bet it is. Just make sure you don't leave the house with it.

*Nibbles carrots*

Elegant Feather Duster 07-14-2008 06:05 PM

xD;; I played flyff for a while but WoW always kind of threw me off. D: Didn't like it much. But s long as you have fun that's good.

Haha yea I know. Technically I'm probbly allowed to carry it as it's unsharpened, but it's too easy for people to accuse me of brandishing a weapon or something.

*pets some more*

Snowe 07-15-2008 12:43 AM

I tried Flyff once, didn't like it. Couldn't get into it. But Wow.. yeah, I like elves >.<;

Yeah, thankfully you don't live over here at the minute xD If you were caught with a samurai sword you'd be straight into prison.

Elegant Feather Duster 07-15-2008 12:45 AM

*nods* Well to each their own right? 8'D <3 I have unusual taste.

Haha yeah that may be true, considering your police don't carry guns like ours do. USA weapons laws are lax compared to some places.

n.n

Snowe 07-15-2008 11:07 AM

Heh, yeah. Everyone has their own tastes.

If our police were to carry guns, they'd end up being stolen and then we'd have more shootings than stabbings >.<; Gawd I hate this country at the minute.

Elegant Feather Duster 07-15-2008 06:36 PM

*nods* yupyup.

^^; Yeah it's kind of a situation with good and bad parts. Police would have more "presence" but if they were stupid and a criminal stole the gun, then you have an even worse situation.
