The last one really wasn't that good. It was basically "Harry and Friends Go Camping" for the whole first 9/10 or so, only the very end was all Final Battle-y.
Plus they killed off Remus and never even mentioned Luna in the Epioluge. Unforgiveable. |
Hey guys.
|
Obviously it wasn't that exceptional since I don't even remember any of it.
And what kind of a name is Albus Serius? Or.. uh.. whatever? xD Hi Suona. |
Hiya Suona! *waves*
It was Albus Severus, Fabby. XD |
xD; I feel sorry for that kid.
|
I do to. I don't see why people would ever name children after anyone famous especially close to the time they were alive. There would always be comparison and pressure and crap.
.......and perhaps I gave this to much thought. |
... Personally, I just thought the name sounded crappy. But okay.
=O Hey! An Alt Vine! |
I know like nothing about Harry Potter. >_<
|
Yuppers. I actually think the original green/plant dragon looks cooler.
*clicks your silver* ........is it just me or does the baby silver look kinda like a weird dog/kangaroo/rat hybrid? to Suona: I've read the books and seen the movies, but then again I read almost anything. XD |
I always thought that the baby Silvers looked like fetuses.
|
Yeah, the silver hatchlings look a tad strange.
I think the adult females look nice, though. The males are also a bit off. And thanks for the click. ^^ I've seen the movies, but due to my friends I refuse to read the books. |
Your friends don't like the books?
|
No, they love the books.
But they've seen the movies and all they do is rant about how they messed up on this and that and how they left out good parts. I just really like the movies, and I don't want to read the books and ruin the movies for myself. |
Oh, I definatly know how that is. My sister and I are the same way as your friends, we rant like crazy about how much movie versions butcher the books there based upon. The only time I've genuinely enjoyed the movie more than the books was the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
|
Mhmm. I know the movies tend to always be worse than the books, but if I really like the movie then I don't want to spoil it by reading the book.
|
I tell myself that but I always end up reading it anyway. I have very little self control when it comes to buying and reading books.
|
I know what you mean. I love reading.
I haven't been reading much lately, though. I have been too busy with school. Just no time for it. |
Movies butchering books... like The Golden Compass? I was honestly quite furious about that, because I adore that series and they RUINED it with their insistence on being politically correct.
Fabs has been reading a lot and ignoring school. =D She wishes school would give her something interesting to read, for once. Why are the 'classic pieces of literature' always incredibly dull? |
I haven't read the book for that before.
I did like the movie, though. I am so sad because I will not let myself get caught up in my own books during school for these two semesters. I really need to concentrate and pay attention to school, and books will distract me. xP |
I should too, but I loathe school and I'd rather be doing something that isn't mind-numbing. It's hard for me to not be distracted... due to it being internet school, it is SO easy to go ctrl+t and start ignoring my work.
I didn't care for the movie in itself, but the slaughtering of the book is why I really hate it. You should read it when you're not caught up in school. It's very good. |
I just get really distracted when I have a book. Its all I think about and I want to read during class and on all my breaks.
But I know that I need to pay attention during school and spend my spare time getting homework done. |
I'm the same way. Especially if it's amazing. >___>;;
I do too, but highschool is proving to be quite a struggle for me. Maybe I'm just trying to find an excuse for laziness, but I can't bring myself to care or want to try. It all seems really pointless to me. |
I know what you mean.
I drove my teachers nut in my high school classes because I was always reading my books. lol But I am taking high school and college classes right now, so I really need to stay focused. |
Quote:
I loved His Dark Materials, and whole point about the series is that, it's not really supposed to be politically correct because it deals with religion being fake. And refusing to conform. |
Oh no, I think we're doing the exact thing that Suona hates now. xD
Anyway. I don't understand why they had to chop up the book. The first one was actually pretty tame, and can be taken as a straightforward fantasy story. It isn't until you get into books 2 and 3 that they really start attacking religion. |
