You know I don't even think putting in the a and las actually mean anything. I took French about 5 years ago from someone who didn't even speak the language. I rather based it on a la mode which I think means with ice cream on top. So to my knowledge were saying our ship has doom on top of it.

Actually, from my limited knowledge of French we're either saying The Enterprise has the Doom or The Enterprise is the Doom. Not sure which.
