Though she didn't want to sound rude, Tiana didn't turn and said hurriedly, "Nothing will happen to us. I know these guys, they're nowhere near as vicous (sp?) as they make out to be. Go!" A snout was just making it's way through the crack. Tiana wished with all her heart that Shiro would just run; they'd come out to meet her later. She would have voiced this, but by now the leader had his whole body in the pipe under the fountain. Tiana glanced over her shoulder, wishing and wishing that Shiro had already left.

Ivan looked at the leader as he entered into the hole. He said nothing and he didn't have to since he looked as if he couldn't be moved. he looked ready for a fight if they needed to and he looked at the wolf. He growled slightly and looked at Tiana when she looked over her shoulder. He knew that Shiro would be okay becayse he would make sure of it.

With he entrance of the other wolf. Shiro wasn't sure what to do. Should she run off and leave them? She was worried. She couldn't tear herself away from them. But what if they got into troubled because she was here with them. She compromised by entering the crack previously announced and waited to run if need be.

After breathing a silent sigh of relief, Tiana turned back to the pack leade, fur bristling.
"Tiana," the wolf said with a menacing air, "I do believe I told you to never let me catch your disgusting scent on my territory again. And even more," he said in the same voice, his dark eyes flicking to Ivan, "You've brought company." "We were being pursued by that fat butcher, Roan," Tiana said, sounding submissive but saying this through clenched teeth, "We had nowhere to run but to this fountain." Roan growled, his black eyes like puddles of dark ice. The sound alerted the rest of the pack, who all slipped through the whole and into the confined space. Almost panicking, Tiana realised they were going to circle them, leaving no room to get to Shiro if they found her. And surely they would find her, because of her distinguished scent. |
Ivan growled when he saw them try to circle them. But right when a wolf got near him he lashed out and grabed the wolfs neck and flung him into the other wolf on the other side. For now he had stoped them from circling them. "I dont wish to cause trouble but Tiana is tellin the truth." he growled and looked at Roan "and I dont think you want to start a fight for I have kept my ground agenst a whole pack. I can do it again." he growled at him. He looked ten times bigger now and he looked very terrifying.

Shiro stifled a gasp. These wolfs were big. She nearly screamed when Ivan lashed out at one of the others. Thankfully he didn't continue. It seemed he was just warning them. She tried to be still and small within the crack. She felt she must be able to be heard with her fast breathing and loud heartbeat. "Oh please don't let them get hurt." she Thought desperately.

"Ivan, NO!!" Tiana stepped in front of her friend and glared at him through narrowed eyes.
"Even if you don't like this wolf more than I, I can't allow you to touch him," she growled. She ignored the approving snort of the wolf behind her, her eyes only for Ivan. Though she hadn't wanted to reveal her secret so soon to a new-comer, she'd have to spit it out if he wanted an explanation. But one thing she did know was that she couldn't let Ivan hurt any more of these wolves. "Well done, Tiana," Roan growled. He still glared at her with hate, but something like pride was glistening in those black pools that were his eyes. "You could make good offspring yet." Tiana flinched at his words, and shifted her gaze so she was looking past Ivan. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid old furball!! She'd practically ordered him never to admit this to anyone, not even her older brothers who surrounded her. Stupid, furry bastard!! |
Ivan looked at Tiana when she flinched and wondered why the other wolf said that. Then growled but stoped himself. Tiana knew these wolves better then he did so he should let her handle them

"Trust me," Tiana said softly, flicking her gaze back to Ivan once she had regained control of her temper. She could feel Roan's hot breath on the back of her neck, so she stepped back from Ivan so that she could finally see him. She almost growled at him for having that stupid prideful gleam in his eyes. She was not a pup to sculpt and manipulate anymore, and she wasn't going to fall for the same old tricks again.
"We'll leave in peace, Roan," Tiana said to him, "I promise I'll never lead him hear again,." She jerked her head in Ivan's direction, not taking her eyes of Roan. "Let us leave." (One of you can decide what he does next, I feel like I'm god-modding >_<; ) |
Ivan nodded and looked at Roan "yes, please let us leave." he said pleadingly
Roan smerked "why should I, you are new here and so I dont think that leting you leave peacefully is a good idea." he said then turned to Tiana "but tiana is able to leave if she wants to leave you." he said and moved a little so that Tiana could get outside if she needed to. |
Tiana wasn't the least surprised by Roan's decision. Exactly what someone like him would do: find a strong, young wolf and try to make him into his slave, just like the goons surrounding them. Tiana's gaze flickered rom the opening, to Ivan, to Shiro's hiding place, and back to Roan. There was a long silence while Tiana considered. Leave Ivan, take Shiro and run to safety? Or stay here with Ivan and be forced to fight her - she swallowed before she even thought the word - family?
Finally, Tiana turned to Ivan. "What do you want?" |
Ivan looked at Tiana and sighed "to tell you the truth I want you to leave me, I am just a lone wolf nothing else and nothing more. I may have come here to find a home but this pack isn't it." my home is with Shiro and you he continued in his mind as he looked at Tiana. He would be fine. She would be able to leave and get Shiro out of here. He didn't care what happend to him as long as Shiro and Tiana was safe. They where his family now and he would maek sure that they where safe even at teh cost of being beaten up or killed.

Shiro wasn't able to stifle the little whimper as they talked about fighting. 'no, no no!' She cried in her mind.
Tears streamed down her face and she put a hand over her mouth to help mask her sobs. Could she do anything? Maybe she could help convince the other wolfs to live in peace....Even though she didn't like them as much, she had a feeling for the other wolves as well. 'what to do!' she thought in panic. |
Tiana blinked in surprise. She hadn't caught the double meaning. Did that mean Ivan actually wanted to stay with the pack rather than with her and Shiro? Fine. Whatever.
"Then I'll leave," Tiana said quietly. She whisked around and jumped past Roan, ignoring his stare, and scuttled out of the hole. She looped around to the back of the fountain, straining her ears to hear what the pack's reaction would be, but more so trying to hear what Ivan would say. Tiana stopped when she felt a slight raise in the ground beneath her paws. She immediately started scrabbling at the earth with her claws, and in no time she came across the fountain's pipe, where Shiro was. The pipe had an average-human-sized hole right where Tiana had been digging, leaving a neat escape route. Tiana, in her human form now, carefully lowered herself through the hole, landing soundlessly on the bottom. She spotted Shiro immediately, staring through the crack with her hand over her mouth and tears trailing down her cheek. "Psst!!" |
Ivan smiled and knew now that those two would be okay. He looked at Roan and smerked "I am never going to join your pack and now let me leave." he said as he lunged at Roan. Roan smerked and attacked Ivan back. Ivan wasn't going at full strength and was doing this so that Shiro and Tiana would have enought time to get out of here. The other pack members soon joined in and started to attack Ivan. Ivan just let them have there way with him and let them bit and cut him to ribbons. He didn't care what happend to him as long as those two where safe.

Tiana started as she heard the snarls and whimpers that came with battle. She raced through the tunnel until she came to Shiro. "Let's move, let's move!!" Tiana yelled over the chaos. She grabbed Shiro's hand and tried to pull her away, hoping with all her heart that Shiro would come.

whit a final sob for her wolf boy, she grabbed her other hand that was being held by Tiana. She gave a quick nod and allowed her to lead her out. when they had reached daylight she began to cry in earnest. "will he be alright? Isn't there anything we can do?" She grabbed Tiana and held her in a close hug, sorely needing the comfort.

Ivan soon layed on the cave floor with blood all over him. But he never let out a whimper or a yelp for them to stop. He would let them contiue this till those two where safe. So far he knew that he had bit wounds all over his legs and back and a hug gash in his side. But yet he didn't feel it. RIght now he felt at peace knowing that he was doing this for Shiro and Tiana.The other wolves continued to bit into Ivan and claw at him. They wouldn't stop untill he would die or yelp for them to stop or pleaded them to stop.After a while Ivan couldn't help but yelp and they stoped. Roan smerked "now never come into our teritory again or else we will kill you" he said and started to leave. Ivan smiled slightly and knew that the wolves wouldn't find Shiro or Tiana now isnc e there noses where filled with his blood and that was all that they would smell till they washed there noses. Soon he was alone in the cave unable to move since it hurt to just breath and his legs where all bloody.

Tiana hugged Shiro back. "He'll be fine, it's all just a play," Tiana said, hoping it was the truth. "When they leave, I'll go back for him."
All too soon the growls and snarls stopped, Roan barked something Tiana couldn't quite hear, and the pack bounded out of the hole. Tiana buried Shiro's face in her hair so that she wouldn't see the blood on their snouts and paws. She hoped desperately that Ivan hadn't been stupid enough to let them have their way; she'd said not to throw the first punch at Roan, not to let him rip Ivan to shreds!! "I'll go down for him," Tiana said finally. She held back Shiro so that she could look at her. "I need you to stay here," Tiana said softly to Shiro, "I promise I'll bring Ivan back." She waited for Shiro's repsonse. |
She nodded sniffling through her tears. "Yes bring him back...Please? I...I don't want..I don't want to loose you know that Ive found you. Something within me seems to call out to you and i don't know why, but..." She sniffled and rubbed at her eyes. slowly she let go of Tiana's hand and sat down to wait. she clenched her hands within her lap and took a deep steady breath.

Pleased that Shiro had calmed down somehwat and allowed Tiana to leave her side, Tiana phased back into her wolf form and sprinted to the hole, through which she scrambled through desperately. The smell of blood was almost overpowering in this small space, but what alarmed Tiana the most was that all of the blood was Ivan's. Hadn't he even opened his mouth during the fight?!
Tiana could hardly distinguish the blood-sodden wolf amongst the carnage. Sighing, Tiana setteled herself beside his form, searching for signs that he was still alive. He was breathing, but it was ragged and uneven. "Stupid furball," Tiana said quietly. "Didn't you realise Shiro would be proud of you even if you did fight?" Tiana stood up, and gently nudged at him. "Can you stand, Ivan?" |
Ivan smiled a little bit, that hurt him as well. "I think I can" he managed to say and slowly got to his feet. He leand agenst Tiana for support and smiled a little bit more. "but If I hadn't done it they would have found Shiro's sent and would go looking for her. I also didn't want to fight so that you had time to get shiro out and get to safety." he managed to say even thought that it hurt. Blood soaked his fur as he stood and smiled at Tiana.

Though Ivan's words were brave, Tiana could sense how much pain he was in. She had to get him somewhere quick. Maybe it would be easier to get help in human form?
"Ivan, once we get putside, transform. I need to get you to a human doctor," Tiana instructed him. She helped him over to the hole, and waited for him to go through. "Wait for me, okay?" |
Ivan nodded and managed to go through the hole. Right when he steped outside he turned into his human form and leand agenst the side of the cave. In his human form there where bit marks all over his body and his shirt was all bloody. There was a hug gash in his side and blood pored out of it like no tomorrow. He was breathing heavly and his eyes looked like they where dead.

Tiana slipped out as soon as Ivan was through, and transformed. When she turned to Ivan, she almost recoiled. His wounds looked even worse when he was human, but maybe that would make the human doctors want to help him more. She wasn't entirely sure what they would do to him, but she was certain it would be for the best.
Tiana quickly slipped under his arm and hoisted him up. "We need to go pick up Shiro," Tiana explained quietly, "I told her to wait over there..." Tiana started to half-carry, half-drag Ivan towards where she'd left Shiro. |
