Toan had almost caught up with Raito and Sakura, using up all the energy he had left he managed to shout "NO!" When Raito said to go around again, he skid to a stop by them, breathing heavy again. "No way... Raito, thats the last... time I let you guide Epona! You could've hurt her... also Sakura and yourself! You need to be more careful, now give the reins to Sakura." Toan folded his arms, he was thoroughly annoyed with Raito right now, but his tone seemed harsh so he felt a little bit bad inside, no one was hurt after all. "Come on... we should go inside quickly, hopefully Malon doesn't mind such a quick visit from us" he looked over his shoulder in the direction of the castle, hoping Zelda and Raye were catching up. He looked toward Navi, hoping she was okay, seeing she was he managed to smile, but it soon turned to a guilty look and he turned his gaze away. letting out a sigh, he walked up the hill into the ranch.

Darkness flowed as a small shifting shape across the lands, flitting from one shadow to the next, out into the outskirts of hyrule. There it knew there was a heart similar to his. the shadow sunk deep into Ganondorf's lair, seeking the master there. When at last he found the man, he combined himself into a more solid form. That of a tall fairy boy dressed in black.

"As evil made me, are you evil enough to command me?" the voice was deep and seductive. A proud voice that was confident in itself. The man stood there, his clothes black, his hair a dark metallic gray, his eyes deep red. The man stood there with a wicked smile upon his face and hatred his only desire. Raye just smiled at the antics of the younger Raito, the part of him that was a happy playful child. He had a feeling that part of him was more important than anyone else would guess. He was so full of light and good. As they walked he looked over at the princess. He could see the faint traces of stress and weariness. He knew that the affairs of the kingdom must worry her constantly and he felt bound, even compelled to help her. ((Here's my fav pic of dark link! Raito bit the inside of his cheek and looked down at the grass. Why was he yelling at him!? Epona was fine! So was Sakura! He wouldn't do anything to hurt them.... "...You always yell at me! Even when I don't do anything wrong!" He shoved the reins at Sakura and hopped off Epona, who gave a nervous snort at the tension coming from the group. "I.." He bit his lip. The word was stuck in his throat. Even when he was angry, he knew it wasn't true. He could never hate Toan. Although he wanted to say it really badly. His eyes began to prickle with oncoming tears so he ran off to Lon Lon Ranch, back to the cuckoos. "Raito!" Navi gave Toan an apologetic look before flying off his shoulder, watching the boy run off. Normally she's very talky and bossy, but she knew that there was nothing she could do in the situation. "...One of you should go speak to him." She mumbled. |

...I don't care what you guys say! I am using it! At least, I will use it until I end up drawing that idea I had for Ganondorf's new look, but haven't drawn yet...)) In the ornately carved throne Ganondorf was seated in, he smirked at Dark Link, crossing his legs, one over the other, as if he were not in the least surprised by the dark manifestation of the annoying, green-clad fairy boy hero of Hyrule who seemed to constantly reincarnate looking relatively the same, and always with the same name. "I would almost say that sounds like you are submitting yourself to my command..." Ganondorf said, his voice dark and heavy; the pefect voice for a King of Evil. ((Voice comparision: Think of Ganondorf from OoT!)) Getting to his feet, he took several paces towards Dark Link, who had stayed in the shadows. "Come closer." Was all he said. It was obviously a command, not a request. |
The shadow grinned, his eyes blazing the deep red of coals. He could smell the man's hate, anger, and evil. it was like a feast for his soul. He gladly took a few steps closer toward such the deliciously evil man.
"think you can handle me Ganondorf.....?" The dark Link smirked, a finger touched the man's chest, his sharp and long nails almost making a hole in the cloth. "It takes much to keep me in check. For as the boy in which i am from is the hero of light, he blazes with that light of good. The brighter the light, the darker the shadow becomes." ((No i didn't steal that line from Kingdom hearts...okay maybe I did.... but it works perfect)) |
"If you seek to be controlled..." Ganondorf said, a wicked smile distorting his features now as he swiftly, almost too fast to be seen, grabbed Dark Link by the jaw and throat, holding the shadow's head tilted up and back slightly, as if he would snap the smaller one's neck at any moment. "You will find no master as merciless as I." Slowly, he raised Dark Link up, by the throat, so that the dark Hylian was held a bit above Ganondorf's own head. "I could kill you here and now if I wanted..." Ganondorf said, the smirk fading from his face. Letting Dark Link down rather quickly, dropping him to the floor but in a way that was recoverable from, he released the red-eyed male, walking away a few paces, then turning to look over his shoulder at Dark Link. "But you interest me. You come here, barging in quite boldly, and then demand I control you..." He turned around fully, and spoke, the most unpleasant of smiles on his face as schemes and plots formed in his mind. "Very well, you being of the aether, dark avatar of my foe. I will command you. And you shall hate every moment of it."

He only grinned, almost insanely as he was held by his throat. His toe tips dangling off the floor. He could if he wanted, shift to his shadow form, being insubstantial. His threats didn't bother him much.
"good...his hate and evil fills my soul, and makes me want more. I can grow strong, and perhaps with him, I shall finally be free from those parts of me I hate." Dark link's thoughts were happy as he inspected his new master. "Not very likely...Master.... For Your hate feeds my soul. My wish is the same as yours, to turn this world dark, to crush those of the light, to crush those...heroes..... but for that, I need your strength. In return I will help you in this, for I am one with the dark mists that roam the land, our makings being very similar in kind." He gave the man a sly look, one waiting to set out upon his mischievous and dark nature. |
Malon looked up from where she was washing clothes in a wooden tub outside the house. "Dad?" She called. "Did you hear something?"
"Huh?" Came Talon's distant yell from where he was working inside the barn. "No, I didn't hear anything." "Hmmm." Malon dropped the shirt that she was scrubbing into the tub of water, dried her hands on her apron, and walked towards the gate of the ranch. "I could have sworn I heard some sort of--Ah!" She broke off on a cry that was half-surprise, half-delight. "It's you!" She exclaimed, looking upon the sudden visitors with wide eyes. "But why... What... It hasn't been that long at all, how come you have come back so soon?" Her eyes narrowed worriedly. "Don't tell me something is wrong. Has Epona thrown a shoe?" Malon found nothing amiss with the fact that her first thought was for the horse she had raised from a foal. Then her eyes alighted upon the blonde young woman who sat upon a horse of her own, and her eyes widened. She knew what Princess Zelda looked like--hadn't her father Talon been delivering dairy products to the castle for years?--and this woman... But it couldn't be! "Your Highness?" Malon asked. "Is that really her?" She aimed her next question at Raye with her usual directness. She was not going to curtsy to a stranger and perhaps make a fool out of herself if she was wrong. Then she shook her head and laughed; the laughter was clearly directed at herself. "But look at me, standing here gawking at you all like a bumpkin. Come on, come to the house! You all must have some sort of business here, otherwise why would you come back?" She tactfully left out the words 'at a time like this'. Squinting up at the sun's position in the sky, she added, "It's nearly noon. Would you all like something to eat?" She had unconsciously clasped her hands behind her back, as was her habit ever since childhood. Now she began to back away, as if to lead them to the house while she talked. |
He walked up to the ranch, it felt a little odd to be back so soon. He smiled to Malon as she came out to greet them. she was very good at knowing what went on in her home.
"Yes, this is her Ladyship. We were fortunate to meet her so soon. She has agreed to discuss the current matters with us. It was decided to come here so that we could talk in peace. Of course, we ask if that is permissible with you and your Father." he inclined his head to her while asking. Then he turned to Zelda and offered his arm to aid her in stepping from her horse. Not that he thought she needed it, but he was polite and he believed in offering aide. |
Raito sat sulking in the yard while the cuckoos mulled around him, clucking and looking for food.
"Hmph." He plucked up some grass as he pouted. Henrietta sat on his lap and looked up at him, giving a little 'cluck' of concern for her charge. Raito looked at his flying friend and sighed, smiling sadly. "I'm sorry Henrietta. I'm fine. Really." He pat the cuckoos head. Navi fluttered after the blue haired man, a little worried and on edge for Raito, but not too perturbed. Children get like this all the time, after all. |
