Refrain Redux [Pocket Monsters Roleplay Re-Boot]
"Mo Ichido Mezase Master!" As a way for me to tell you've read this content and the rules properly, one of the requirements for me accepting your profile in this RP will be that the profiles be sent to me via Private Message, with the title for it being the translation of the title above, "Mo Ichido Mezase Master!" Now, because it is unlikely that everyone will know Japanese enough to know the translation of the title, I have hidden it amongst the rules. This is another way for me to tell that you have been reading the rules carefully. Now, without further ado, I shall explain what the roleplay will entail. This won't be like some of the Pokemon RPs I have seen in other places, where we just play the Pokemon, or a furry/anthropomorphic version thereof. This also will not be like the game, word-for-word, just going around battling for experience. This will be more of a character driven style, in the world of the series, interacting with each other. We will be able to use the Pokemon as characters though - It's just I most likely won't be accepting rogue Pokemon being played without a trainer, unless I am convinced very well that the person can make it interesting. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Kanto region, the Jouto region, the Houen region, the Shinou region. The Orange Archipelago, the Seven Islands, the areas of the Battle Frontier. All of these are part of the vast world of which Pokemon and humankind alike are inhabitants. Many people have made themselves known in these separate regions, often by traveling through them extensively and competing in championships. Some were distinguished by skill, others were distinguished by the names of those they traveled with. Then, there were those who were distinguished by both. Such names as Satoshi, the trainer known for his traveling companions: The gym leaders Takeshi, the Rock type gym leader, and Kasumi, the Water type leader. The grandson of Dr. Ookido, Shigeru. All these names are famous in the Pokemon world. But these adventures are known for how young the people were, when they were all 10, 11, 12, to 13 at the very oldest. Around seven years have passed since those glory days, however, many of the trainers are still in action. Some of the gym leaders have gone back to improve their gyms, as well as their skills. Some gyms have gone under complete renovations, such as the island of Guren (otherwise known as Cinnabar) when its volcano erupted and devastated the gym as well as most of the island. What is important is that the sense of adventure has not been lost. Many trainers are still out there, some on the way to be masters, some for other reasons, like breeding or competitions, whatever the reason is, they are out there. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ As the last RP went sour, due to some complications, and the lack of attention paid to it, due to a member just leaving after taking the RP the way they wanted, I decided it was best to reboot it and start again afresh. |

Of course, you will occasionally be lucky, but be prepared to take hits as well. Yes, seven years will make them a bit more mature, but take into consideration their personalities. For instance, Kasumi might still be quite hot-headed or short-tempered, and Satoshi might still be overconfident which will get him into trouble. - Private Message the profiles to me, so I can tell you if I think you're eligible for the roleplay. Characters Not everyone can be a Gym Leader. As the old saying goes, "We can't all be chiefs, or there'd be no Indians". We want trainers, just as much as any Gym Leader. We're also not using levels, as this would lead to the temptation to have "OMG! All my Pokemon are LVL100, lolz!12" Please take this into consideration. Also, I am very, very rusty on Pokemon, so I only really know the original 151 Kanto Pokemon, so it would be greatly appreciated if these could be used. If you can tell me about the later generation Pokemon you want to use, then I shall consider your case, as I can soon learn. (I've got a good idea of the next 100 or so.) By the way, while I use Japanese names for the place names and character names, we can use the English names for the Pokemon, as there are too many names to try and remember bilingually. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Username: [Self-explanatory] Name: [Quite self-explanatory, but please try to be reasonable. I've seen people use Japanese words to try and sound cool, like "Honoo Yaiba" to mean "Blazing Blade".] Age: [10 is the age one can legally train Pokemon, it seems, but I think for more fun and variety, we can have some younger characters (within reason, of course) that own a Pokemon, but aren't allowed to battle officially, et cetera] Appearance: [Descriptions accepted, but if you're going to use a picture, please don't let it be of another well-known anime character. The amount of Sasuke pictures I've seen...] Biography: [Please have some detail in this. Vagueness as well as a general, brief description of the character does not a rounded character make.] Status: [Whether they're traveling, or stationary in their city, as well as whether they're a trainer, a gym leader, et cetera] Pokemon Line-Up: [As is expected, the usual maximum of 6. Minimum of 1. And no silly, overpowered ideas like "I have Zapdos" or something.] ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Canon characters are accepted.
