Kaya stopped what she was doing when she saw Artmeis and Genkai had come back out. From her spot on the tree, she simply leapt, easily landing on her feet. She noticed that Yusuke and Hiei were still going at it, so she walked over to the group quietly, not very far from Kurama and Artemis, and sat down to watch.
Yusuke stayed rather still as Hiei came at him, choosing to duck as he came up with the swords, the bottom of his shoe blocking one of his swords, his palm flat against another. From here he smiled, sending a sideways kick at Hiei, hoping for a side shot. Kaya couldn't help but overhear Artmeis' and Kurama's conversation, and was a bit surprised. And she says she doesn't know what her powers are from...? Interesting. She then simply shrugged this thought off, continuing to watch Yusuke and Hiei's fight. |
Unfortunately for Hiei, he hadn't foreseen any possible change in Yusuke's strategy and he staggered sideways after the kick landed squarely in his side. He dropped one sword as he staggered and gripped at his side, turning his eyes over to where Genkai and the others sat watching them. He smiled slighly and inclined his head over to them, indicating that they should stop for now. "I will want a rematch later." Hiei said simply as he picked up his sword and put them both away.
It was then that he started to take notice of Artemis's new outfit. It was highly unusual. Almost every part of it did not go with any other part of it. Shorts, two strange leggings, neither of which went with the other. And two things on either arm, one of which went all the way up her arm near her shoulder, the other which only went up to, or started at her elbow. But she looked a bit more comfortable, and she had a severely determined look in her eyes. |
Kaya grinned a bit as what seemed like an equal match ended with the first contact, glad that she had at least got a taste of their speed. Her attention went to Artemis briefly, looking at her outfit in curiosity before diverting her eyes again. She didn't find it too odd, but she did notice that the girl looked really comfortable in it, which she supposed was good.
Yusuke laughed, grinning goofily as he replied to this. "Good enough for me." The then sat down on the grass, wondering what exactly they were going to do. He remembered his last tournament's training to be extremely harsh... he wondered what they were going o do to prepare this time, even with the time shortage. "So... let's get to it." |
Genaki stared at Yusuke dryly, but she shrugged it off as she looked around at the group. Noticing the absence of Kuwabara, she sighed, knowing that if he chose to show up within the next couple of days, she would have to scold his ass. She let out a sigh. "You, Yusuke, are skilled enough to train on your own at this point, though I would like for you to try some intense mental training. You can't always fight on a whim, though so far improvising has worked for you as it is." She looked at him. "It would make me feel a bit more comfortable if you would train your mind a bit. I'm sure Kurama could help you with that." She said simply.
"As for you two, Kurama, Hiei, I can't even begin to tell you how to train, as I'm sure you already have your own mindset on what you need done. Therefore, I'll just tell you to get to it." She said in regards to them. Then she turned to look at Kaya. "As for you, I don't know you as well as I know the Spirit Detectives, so I'd like to understand your fighting style and what your powers are. And if I see that there is anything I can help you with, I will do so. As I see it, the only person I really need to work with most would be Artemis, as she is the only one with no fighting exprience at all." She gazed at Yusuke and the others for a moment. "Don't bother me with complaints, I won't hear them anyway. You three should get to work." She said, indicating that Kurama, Yusuke, and Hiei were all set to go and train as they would. |
Kaya nodded in agreement with what Genkai said about her, knowing that the woman didn't know her well enough to judge her fighting style or much the less give her advice for her training. As it seemed that she was already done with the group, she simply stood and went off to find a good spot for herself to train in.
Yusuke was rather relieved that Genkai was letting him go off on his own this time, but he wasn't quite sure how to handle his own training. He knew that she suggested training with Kurama, which he didn't really intend to do unless asked of him. He saw nothing wrong with his fighting style. As he stood to get going, he saw that Kaya had already gone off on her own again, which surprised him. To no one in particular, he commented on this. "Quite the loner, huh?" |
Genkai watched as not only Kaya went off on her own, but so did Hiei, who ran off into the woods surrounding the area before Genkai or anyone could say anything to him. Even Kurama was surprisingly glad to hear that they were allowed to train as they would. It meant that Genkai was planning to focus on Artemis and help her learn to control her powers.
Genkai turned her attention onto Artemis, with a small smile. "So, child, we begin your training." Artemis nodded her head briefly as she watched everyone else walk off and then she turned to Genkai. "I'd like to thank you for this, but I'm not sure how to really say it." Genkai shook her head. "Don't say a word, because you won't want to thank me during the hours of the next couple of days. So let's get you started." Artemis nodded her head and followed Genkai for only a short distance as they began. It was tedious work for her, seeing as she had no conscious control over her powers yet. But as the time passed by, she grew very accostomed to gathering energy around her hands and even around her body. Learning first hand that she could create an electro-magnetic field around herself that could instantly cause problems for others should they get too close to her and enter the field. |
Kaya had to admit she wasn't quite sure how to begin her training as she reached the line of trees that was the start of he forrest. She found what she thought may be a nice spot, away from the others, but not too far, then stood there, as if waiting for some idea to come to her. No luck. Kaya slipped out her katana then started basic training, something that she knew wouldn't help much.
Yusuke, seeing as the others went into the woods, followed after. He hadn't trained on his own before, and he had very little idea as to what to do. He wandered blindly around the forrest to the point where he was entirely startled when he felt the brush of a blade along his cheek. It was soft enough that it didn't even pierce the skin, but when he looked up, he frowned at Kaya. "Watch where you're pointing that thing!" Kaya was also rather startled, and upset that her concentration had been broken. "You should watch where you're walking." she said rather simply, before going back to what she had been doing. |
"You need to work harder, Artemis!" Genkai yelled at her. Artemis was struggling with her powers as Genkai yelled at her. She could feel the electricity running through her, forming a solid ball of electricity in her hands, but she couldn't sustain the power. It was fading, and Genkai was yelling at her again. "I'm trying as hard as I can!" She yelled back. "No you're not, or you would have no trouble sustaining your energy!" Genkai replied angrily.
Artemis growled in anger as the energy fizzled in her hand, and the orb was gone. She put her hand down and took a deep breath. She knew that Genkai wasn't going to give her a break. It had already been a few hours and she'd had no break. Genkai shook her head and she stared at Artemis. "Start again." Artemis sighed and began to gather energy in her hands again. |
HIYA

(Vaneria19; Yes you may, but please read the front page first please. Thank you. :]
& the front page has been updated under characters) Yusuke shrugged, stuffed his hands into his pockets, then went off on his way again. How the heck did the old lady expect him to train with such freedom? Maybe Hiei would consider dueling him again? These thoughts trailed through his mind while he started to walk off. Kaya stopped for a moment to watch him walk away before shaking her head a little and letting out a soft sigh. She knew she couldn't train alone very easily, and hell, it didn't look like he was getting anything done either. "Up for a duel?" she called out after him. Curiosity took him, and he turned back to her, grinning goofily. "I dunno, I don't like hitting girls." Kaya then smirked, slipping her swords into their sheathes. "Don't worry, I'll go easy on you." she replied teasingly. She had watched his earlier duel with Hiei, and was pretty impressed, but she was sure with some practice she may be able to keep up. Speed after all, was on of those things she wanted to work on while they had the three day period to train. |
(( Yay... Someone wanted to roleplay Kurama.... ^ ^ That makes me happy, not that I couldn't have easily roleplayed his character myself but that I really wanted to roleplay Hiei instead. ))
Artemis growled loudly as she tried to concentrate on her task. But Genkai was making it exceptionally hard to do that, continually trying to attack her and make her lose control of her power. She cupped her hands around her current attempt at a decent orb of purely electric energy. Genkai came around the corner and kicked her in the stomach, but Artemis refused to let this one fizzle. She took a step backwards and concentrated on putting more energy into the orb. Artemis knew what Genkai was going to say. 'It honestly shouldn't take you this long just to create a decent attack. You should be able to attack your opponent as soon as you form the energy!' Artemis closed her eyes and waited for Genkai to come at her for another round, but this time she released the orb as Genkai was passing. The attack landed directly on her arm, but it barely caused any harm to the old woman. Artemis had put plenty of energy into the attack, but Genkai was a better psychic. Genkai looked at her. "You're beginning to improve. That took less time than the last exercise." Artemis let out a sigh. "But it's not good enough. We have to keep going." She said in a determined voice. "Heh, I'm liking your attitude a whole lot more than I ever liked the dimwit." ** Hiei ran through the forest, training by attacking while he ran. The trees were beginning to look very carved, but there was little else he could do. Sure he could go and fight against Yusuke again, but that seemed a pointless action at the moment. For now, he would rather see what the others were doing. He could always go and train on his own later, killing the demons lurking deep within the trees. He came to the edge of the forest and watched as the human girl trained with Genkai. She was doing fairly well for a human. At least she was managing to learn control of her powers. But she would still need to get faster in stronger. Spirit attacks wouldn't be enough to help her win the fights in the tournament. ** Sai found herself doing absolutely nothing. Nothing but staring at the five-point star that she carried around with her everywhere she went. She knew it's true purpose, everyone else thought it was merely for decoration. To prove that she was who she said she was. But she knew mor about it than they did. She was the only one who knew the true purpose of her medallion. She sighed deeply and tucked it away under her shirt as she sat up to look around. There was no one around at the moment but herself. Then again, she didn't trust the others, they may be her teammates, but she had never liked other demons. Being of a higher class than most others, she had been raised in that way of thinking. Of the others didn't like it, too bad, she couldn't help but think them inferior to herself. Aside from their designated leader, Rei. She knew nothing about him, but she felt that he was the only one she could trust. Especially after he saved her from certain death in the depths of Makai. She shook her head, trying to rid the memories of the past. "I should really try focusing more." She said lightly as she gazed darkly at the area around her. She was still unsure of where they were. She hadn't been paying attention when they moved around from place to place, now and then. |
Happy with the chaos that had erupted in Spirit World after his invitation had been found, Rei was in a rather cheery mood when he returned to the area the group was currently staying at. He picked random places, occasionally switching between the three worlds as his interests changed, but he knew it was about time that they relocated to someplace within their tournament's range. How the band would handle the news that they were again having to move, he didn't know, but he hoped for the best as he reappeared in their current hiding place using the darkness manipulation technique that he holds so fondly.
He found that everyone but Sai seemed to be off elsewhere, causing him to let out a short sigh, knowing he'd have to delay the news of their migration. However, he did catch something that she seemed to have been saying. "Yes, you think far too much." he replied to this very sweetly, teasingly, knowing that it was not something meant for others to hear. His voice, due to his mood, was honey-sweet compared to his usual rather bored tone. ~~ Yusuke was taken back by her comment, not appreciating the teasing, yet liking the challenge that came with her tone. He easily slipped into a ready position, goofy grin still intact. Kaya did very much the same, though her pose was different, hands down and feet together looking quite casual, while his was more of a normal fighting stance. This actually reminded her faintly of a video game she once played, causing a smile to spread upon her lips. "Well?" she asked, feigning a bored tone. "Are you just going to stand there?" she again coaxed him, teasing, as she looked up at him. Yusuke mumbled something unintelligible, something he didn't even understand, before making the first move. |
It was a good thing, Kurama thought in retrospect, that Genkai allowed them to each go train with no "adult" (and, didn't that word sound odd, even in his own mind. The Yoko in the back of his head chuckled) supervision. He smiled and nodded dutifully before turning and walking into the expansive forest that surrounded the old woman's temple, unsure whether the others were near him or not. No matter; being alone would probably be a good thing. He was surrounded by foliage soon enough and felt both himself and his demon side relax as they began to absorb ki from the plants. Why not just let me out, for a little while? You'll be gone for a while anyways and we are so far away from most of the pathetic humans... I could just wreck a bit of havoc, mess with the people living on the outskirts of that woman's property... Yoko purred within his mind, his words causing a fine shiver to crawl up the redhead's back, as if he was being caressed by them. And, really, that might as well have been what the demon was doing to his human half - murmuring seductive murmurs of death and destruction, theft and mayhem. It would be so nice to let lose and - "No, we can't do that." he snapped aloud instead of in his head. Not that it mattered seeing as no one was around and, if there were others that he or the Yoko didn't notice (which, although not impossible, was highly unlikely), well, he could deal with looking insane for a few minutes. Kurama shook his head, trying to dislodge his and his demon's thoughts, before starting with simple katas - accelerating their growth then regress them, only to accelerate them again, creating imaginative dangers with each bit of moss covering the stones, each vine in the branches, that sort of things. Quickly enough, Kurama moved into working with the different human plants both around him and in his hair (and in sleeves, and in pockets, and in shoes and - ), trying to decide which ones would prove effective against what sort of enemies, and then doing the same with some of his less dangerous makai and reikai plants. And, if anyone bothered to find him in his clearing, they would have found Kurama growing and de-growing plants, murmuring to himself and, most likely, Yoko. Why wasn't there anything to do? The thought ran circles around Alain's mind as he walked around the area surrounding the band's latest camp. Slowly, a sly, lopsided smile appeared on his lips as something flashed in his mind. Well, if there was nothing to do, he'll make some excitement. "Que j'ai fait jusqu'à ceci n'est rien!*" he yelled into the sky, followed by his raucous laughter, that devilish smile still on his lips. With that, he walked back towards the group, humming some diddy he picked up during the Great War, doing a lil' shimmy as he came upon the clearing. Ah! There they were! Putting on another charming smile, Alain sauntered in. "Well, this is cheery! Did I step in on something explicite et amusant now?" the Frenchman asked. Ah, how fun it was to mess with good citizenne Sai and their 'leader' Rei. "Anything I should know?" *What I have done up to this is nothing. - part of a quote by Napoleon I of France (a.k.a. Napoleon Bonaparte), first Counsel of the French Republic Sorry for the general suck-ish-ness =3= I gotta do work sometime And I'm glad I previewed cause I had to rewrite Alain's whole post |
Sai turned her head to look at Rei as he walked over. Her blue eyes glowing eerily in the half-light of the dawn. She let out a soft sigh as she stood up in a slow and graceful motion. "I was getting lost in my memories again, it seems." She said in a soft voice. "I really musn't keep at it." She could hear movement and she turned her head lightly to the side to see the frenchman walk in on them.
She gazed at him with a calm, yet dark expression on her face. "If you could understand anything about me and my race of demon, you would realize that there is nothing to walk in on, especially when I am merely having a conversation with our leader." She said hottly. (( I gotta go to bed now guys... xP )) |
(G'night. :])
Rei only continued grinning at her reply, not amused, but in too much of a good mood to frown at her reply nor come up with another teasing comment, especially with another familiar presence nearing. Once the frenchie shimmied his way in, Ray casually turned his head towards him. Without replying to Alain's earlier question, he let out a long, soft sigh, leaving his place standing beside Sai to start a slow pace, gaze upon the ground. "Well," he started, again stopping to stand, now facing the both of them. "I may as well drop the bomb since the two of you are here. Due to the tournament, we shall be relocating once more." He paused there for a moment, a better plan popping into his head than what he had had planned. "However, before we figure that out, I suggest a field trip. Anyone up for it?" He asked, not expecting motivation, but perhaps at least one companion as he went to... Well, he wouldn't call it spying, but merely checking out a certain team. |
Yuusuke closed his eye for just a second before charging towards Kaya at nearly full speed. He held his fist low and loose as he darted forward, one arm positioned to block a sword as the other flew upwards into an uppercut aimed at her jaw.
(and if you don't mind, I'm going to borrow Botan and Koenma for a minute) Ti plucked at the stings of his guitar as he sat in his one-room flat on the 5th floor deep in the city. He scribbled something down on a paper and turned to the keyboard next to him, playing a few notes as he hummed. He stopped on a deep note and sighed, looking over to the sword that was propped up in the corner of the crowded room, admiring it sheen in the moonlight. He set the guitar down and stood, stretching his limbs in a chorus of cracks and pops. Just as he turned towards the fridge, he sensed something and whipped around, drawing a dagger from a hidden pocket. He stood at arms length from a woman with blue hair and pink eyes. She was wearing a sugar pink kimono and held an oar in her hand. He had seen paintings of women like her, but thought they were merely a tale, a folk legend. He narrowed his eyes and held his stance, ready for anything from the alleged grim reaper. "Now now, no reason to get all up in arms! You know, you are one hard fellow to track down." She said, hands up in an innocent gesture. "How did you get in here?" Ti stated, his voice cold and even. He lived on the 5ht floor, the window was closed and the door locked. It made no sense, was he dreaming? No, he didn't have dreams. "I'll just have to show you, there is an emergency and lord Koenma needs your help" She said, looking up at him with a determined look on her face. Ti stared at her, she must be joking! "You mean Enma, king of the spirits? Yea right." He spat, a bitterness to his voice. "No! I'm serious and we need you!" She held her hand out and the wall warped and bent, like it was being torn inwards. "Come with me and it will all be explained, I promise!" and with that she stepped into the wall, disappearing into it. Ti stood there in slight shock, staring at the wall of his flat as it continued to churn and swirl. His mind told him this was a new puzzle to solve, that it was a test, and he needed to know the answer. He grabbed his knives and longsword and stood before the wall, studying it before he put a hand to it and then stepped through. Suddenly he was in a large, official looking office that was a golden tone. He stood still a moment, letting his eyes wander before settling on the woman from before and a man that had a strange tattoo on his forehead and something blue in his mouth. "Ti Mizume, I see Botan has finally found you. This is perfect timing, I just sent the others out of here not 20 minutes ago." The man said, "I am Koenma, ruler of the Spiritworld, and I have an urgent problem that I need you to help with." He turned to a large screen on the wall as it came to life with footage of Ti fighting and using his gifts. "You are aware of your powers and the supernatural so I'm going to give it to you straight. There is a band of demon rouges that are challenging Spiritworld in a tournament like none other before it. We need all the help we can get and you are just what we are looking for." He turned back to face Ti, waiting for an answer. Ti stared at the screen as his mind ran at 100 miles per an hour. So much of this answered questions, but rose so many more. " I will do it." He answered. This was indeed a new puzzle to solve and now that he was in it, there was no going back. "That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Botan will take you to where you can meet and train with your team mates. Train hard, the tournament starts in three days. Good luck." Koenma said as Botan set up another portal. Ti bowed to Koenma before he turned and walked through the portal, stepping out into a forested shrine. (wow that got long! sorry) |
This didn't look that fun, now, did it? Alain pouted, tilting his head a bit as he wondered if he should be worried about what the proverbial 'vampire' had said. Nah, it was far more fun to mess with her, even though it was probably detrimental to his health. "But you don't understand anything about my race, even if I had one right now!" he said, his voice high and laughing. He was hoping to rile the woman up and have some fun. Ooo~ Moving? Again? That sounds promising! "I'm in cap-eh-tan!" he said with a flourish, turning around to look fulling at Rei. "Are we going to Seychelles? It's really warm this time of year!" {{Randomness, ha ha ha. Kurama's sorta... there~ House meeting now}} |
(Borrow them as much as you like, they're still unclaimed. :] & long is good
Mmhh.... House meeting? o.o) Kaya, seeing Yusuke was going to use just his hands, slipped her swords back into their sheathes and took a step back. He's kinda fast... This acknowledgment, coming from her, was a great compliment, but an unspoken one. She raised both of her arms as he came at her, ready to block and/or attack as she got the chance. Kaya blocked his uppercut aimed at her jaw, then turned herself sideways, attempting to kick his side. Another presence neared, which perked her interest, but not enough to distract her from the duel. ~~ Rei couldn't help but grin at this, hoping that Sai might eventually loosen up, but knowing otherwise. She was proud, and it seemed as though she looked down among most demons that were not of her kind. Rei did not know her well, but with this pride she had, he knew she may not be one for a good time, which, of course, was fine with him. At the mention of Seychelles, wherever that was (it really was of no relevance to him, since he did not take time to map out the human world and its travel destinations), he shook his head, a more... sinister feel coming to his grin. "No, I'm afraid not. I have a more interesting trip planned." It took but a few seconds to rip a hole through to the human world, a small portal appearing. Once this was done, he looked to Sai. "And you?" |
Sai let out a sigh as she looked at Rei again. Completely ignoring anything that Alain tried to say to her. "Well, I'm simply not going to sit around waiting for you to come and get me, now am I?" She said in a cool, relaxed tone. "Besides, anywhere is better than being here. I was getting bored of the scenery."
** Hiei immediately sensed a new arrival, and he tensed momentarily. This one was definitely just a gifted human. Is it possible that Koenma was still looking for another member to our team? He was annoyed that they seemed to need so many people on the team. He jumped down from his perch in the tree and stood at the base of it, still watching Artemis practice at the moment. He wanted to make sure that this human was doing everything she could to gain control of her powers. Artemis gathered another attack as Genkai came at her, but she kept the energy in her hands this time. Genkai moved swiftly to the side to attack Artemis, but was surprised to see the girl following her movements easily. Artemis grabbed Genkai's ankle as she jumped up, sending a shockwave through her. Genkai got up quickly. "Good, you are learning to use your powers in different ways already." Genkai said in an approving tone. "But you still have much to learn. And you need to become a better fighter as well. This time, no powers, simply fight me. And don't hold back. I can take a hit." Genkai said bluntly. "Yes, Genkai. Alright, no powers." Artemis fought back the urge to force the energy into her hands again as Genkai came at her for another round of training. Artemis was hardly surprised that she could follow the psychic's movement. She had been watching Yusuke and Hiei fight. So all she had to do was fight down the energy and keep it stored within her. No using my power this time. She just managed to dodge an attack and she turned on the spot to face Genkai again. This time ready to strike back when Genkai came close. |
{{I live in a dorm, lol}}
"Aww, why not? Seychelles is bound to be nice this time of year and, yanno, the foxes...." A lecherous grin crossed his face at the prospect. Ah well, he said he'd listen to Rei, so long as the older (maybe older, Alain wasn't one to pry in such matters as age) demon-person-thing (not like he knew where he was on the scale, really) continued to provide him entertainment. He was already at the portal and about to go in before he turned to the two companions standing there. "Come on guys, we can write a sad, sad song for whomever are on the other side of this portal." His voice was sultry and seductive, as if he was attempting to seduce instead of getting ready to cause wide mayhem, his smile widening, becoming a twisted and demented mockery of itself from a moment ago. In a way, maybe he was trying to seduce Sai - to continue helping them destroy and cause general havoc. The sudden appearance of a mass amount of energy had Kurama looking up for a moment, straining all his senses to figure out what was going on. There could be a good chance that they were under attack, and he wanted to be ready. That particular smell of burning ozone... Gotta be a portal, made of reiki, definetly Kurama rolled his eyes. Like he couldn't tell that? Straining a bit more, Kurama was able to recognize the energy - Botan's. He allowed himself to relax a little bit before going back to collecting various plant life. Hmm... wonder where the others are.... {{Sorry for the crappyness T3T}} |
(Ohhh...)
Rei only kept his grin in place as he walked on up to the portal. "Fighting is discouraged, especially before the tournament, but harassment is always welcome." These were his last words to the two before he stepped on into the portal, unphased by the sudden dramatic change in scenery as he appeared in the forestry upon which he had opened the portal into. A smile lined his lips as he started walking at a slow, comfortable pace, knowing the other two could easily catch up. Let's stir up some fun with the spirit detectives... I'm curious to see Koenma's choices. |
Sai kept a distant expression on her face as she passed by Alain and walked through the portal. She was quite used to going through portals by this point in time. The change in scenery didn't bother her in the slightest. She looked around for a moment and immediately follwed behind Rei through the trees. She could smell humans nearby, and it was unusually enticing. But she closed her eyes and forced the thought down, all her instincts locked deep within her. She couldn't botch this.
** Hiei turned his head at the feeling of demonic auras nearby. They weren't from anyone he knew, and he narrowed his eyes. He took a steo away from his tree and looked over to where Artemis was still fighting with Genkai. She was getting much better, but if she only fought against the old psychic, she wouldn't get too much stronger. |
Ti shuddered as the lingering energy of the portal ran a chill up his spine. 'that's the last time I ever do that' he thought bitterly. He then looked to his surroundings, surpirsed at the amount of energy that covered the entire area. Closing his eyes, he focused on the beings with in the temple. Eight, there were at least three humans... though they all had strange auras, and he had not a clue as to what the other creatutres may be.
Putting on the belts that held the back-sheath for his longblade, he made sure all his weapons were secure before entering the large shrine. 'Lord Koenma said they would be here, but he never said what to expect.' He felt a rush of power as he stepped through the gateway and looked about the quaint temple. It was old, but in good care and held a clam feel even with the power surrounding it. He jumped a bit and reaching for a blade as he felt a wave of power come from somewhere beyond or in the temple, he stood at ready." Yuusuke saw a flash of silver as she sheathed her blades and hopped backwards, preparing to block. He couldn't stop the uppercut and it was blocked, but he saw her shift her weight as she tried for a side kick. He coiled his legs then jumped back, her toes just barely missing his abdomen. |
Rei closed his eyes as he walked. Not as an act of showing off, he didn't even consider it to be one, but as a way to better concentrate on all of the separate areas he felt auras coming from. Stopping after a short distance, he turned a slight right to enter a large clearing: the back of the temple. He smiled a bit, seeing a gifted human training with Genkai, whom he had heard quite a lot about. Eyeing the two for a moment, he then looked in the other directions, just briefly, to estimate how far away each of them were. "Harassment, not fighting." he nearly whispered, meant more for reminding himself than reminding the other two that he supposed may be following him.
~~ Kaya stopped what she was doing, taking a couple steps back from Yusuke as soon as the demonic auras entered the area. Confused, but greatly curious, she swung herself up into the nearest tree, racing over using the treetops rather than running. They seemed to be demons, in which case traveling by foot wouldn't make a difference, but she just didn't feel like coming directly face to face with them. Once she neared the group, she stopped perhaps 5 yards away, balancing on a branch and peering down at the first of the three that she saw, a man. |
Alain went through the portal and waited a moment before he turned around to see the others. "Fine, fine, monsieur. Harass, but no fighting. That's fun regardless, no?" As he was not truly a demon (and wouldn't want to claim to be, thank you very much), Alain was not able to notice a flare of youki, but his senses were tingling. Oh, there was blood here, blood ready to be spilled and blood ready to be - Oh, wait. Only harassment. Eh, that shouldn't be too hard for me, now will it? The sudden flair of demonic energies had Kurama up in an instant, not even bothering to brush the grass off of his clothes and his hair. There was something wrong here and it was coming from the compound. Silently, the ex-thief made his way back to the compound, keeping out of sight, even though he sent a minute nod towards Kaya when she passed him through his trees. The girl went closer than the kitsune felt was necessarily, but she seemed confident enough. He would wait back a bit farther, out of the way of these new people's sight with his ki suppressed.
