Inuyasha Roleplay ★ Owari nai Yume ★ AR - Accepting Characters Now!
Five hundred and fifty years ago, a terrible evil was born to this earth. His name was Naraku, and he was a terrible demon born of hatred and desire. Though many tried to defeat him, all were met with pain and suffering. He sought whatever power he could find, but his deepest desire was to obtain all the pieces of the shattered Shikon no Tama, a jewel of unimaginable power. If he obtained this jewel, all hope would be lost. He left destruction and despair in his wake, and it seemed none could stop him. Until an unlikely band of travelers challenged him: Inuyasha, the half demon who lost his love to Naraku's treachery, Kagome, a curious girl from the future who carried the Shikon no Tama within her body, Shippou, an orphaned kitsune, Miroku, a monk whose family was cursed by Naraku, and Sango, a demon slayer whose village was slaughtered by a demon horde sent by Naraku, and whose brother was held captive as Naraku's brainwashed slave. Each of these travelers hoped to defeat Naraku, to avenge those they had lost, to collect each piece of the Shikon no Tama and set things right once more. They traveled far and wide to find Naraku, and engaged him in battle many times, until one fateful day found them in a battle like none they had ever fought before. This was it. There were only two outcomes. The travelers must emerge from this battle victorious... Or not at all. The fight raged on for hours, with both sides becoming badly wounded. It looked like things would end right there, when Naraku gathered the last shreds of all his power in a final attempt to defeat the travelers and save himself. He attacked - There was a bright flash of light, and then as suddenly as it happened, the world went dark. Some time later, Kagome and Inuyasha awoke on the dirt floor of a well house. They realized, with some confusion, that they were in Kagome's world. But how? Try as they might, they couldn't make their way back to the Sengoku Jidai, and found no clues as to what might have happened to their friends. It seemed hope was lost... After a time, Kagome and Inuyasha mourned the loss of their friends and then settled in to a normal life in the modern era. A year later, strange things began to happen. The new student in Kagome's class, the young clerk at the coffee shop down the street, a businessman on the train... They all looked so familiar. But that wasn't possible... ...Was it? |
Premise Owari nai Yume is an Alternate Reality Inuyasha RP. It takes place in the current era, and focuses on the lives of Kagome, Inuyasha, and the reincarnated cast. (For simplicity's sake, reincarnated characters will retain their original names. :) ) Characters will not remember their past lives, at least at first, though may begin to have flashes of memories further down the line. At the game's start, Inuyasha and Kagome will be just beginning to discover their friends' reincarnations. Rules

Taken Characters Houshi Miroku - Canon Application Character: Houshi Miroku Age: 20 Occupation: University student, convenience store clerk Modern history: Miroku was born to a young couple in Tokyo, who split shortly after his birth. He grew up under the care of his father, who moved all over Japan with young Miroku, doing freelance photography. Unfortunately, when Miroku was seven years old, his father took ill and died of pneumonia, aggravated by a hereditary immune deficiency... A deficiency that he had passed on to his own son. After his father's death, Miroku was left to the care of an elderly monk by the name of Mushin. Mushin raised him in a Buddhist temple, where Miroku studied the teachings of the Buddha... As well as the teachings of old Mushin, who, in addition to being a monk, was also a drunk and a womanizer. Miroku was very intelligent and always near the top of his class in school. He was never the very best, though, preferring to spend less time on homework and studies, and more time wooing girls. He was, and still is, very popular with ladies, and can't seem to help his womanizing tendencies. He also happens to be very loyal to his friends, though, and always there to lend a hand. He attends Tokyo University, and works as a convenience store clerk in his spare time. Anything else: Miroku has spiritual abilities that he doesn't yet know about. Quote:

Miroku was standing behind the counter at his store, leaning against the low counter and clicking away on his DS. The night had been slow as hell, and so he was finding other ways to occupy his time. Other ways like 'Pokemon', in fact. He'd mopped the floor, stocked the shelves, balanced his drawer, switched out the advertisements, done all the price adjustments that would be needed in the next few days, and flirted with every female customer that had come through his door... And he was only halfway through his shift!
He was just about to battle his third gym leader of the night when the little bell on the door rang, signaling a customer. He snapped the device closed and tucked it into his pocket, brushing some of his hair away from his forehead. "Welcome!" he called, waving at the person who'd just come through the door. "Can I help you today?" |
Name: Sansho
Age: 18 Occupation: medical preistess, and demon slayer when needed Appearence: Black long hair with bangs draped over her face. (Pulled back sometimes by small peices of cloth) Traditional preistess wear a lot like kikyo's outfit. But when becomes a demon slayer is alot like Sango's. History:She finds Kagome's portal and often travels from place to place carrying modern medicine and weapons back with her. When in the mortal world she is often in disguise and only few humans know her including a Store owner, who reminds her of a monk she has seen in the fuedal era. She was born from her wise Buddhist father, and medicine woman mother. Along with her brother and sister, who both died because of a demon attack, she decided to become a peaceful, yet violent woman. Personality: She is godly, yet extremely troublesome. Though she speaks in refined tome, It seems as though her appearence shows otherwise. Anything else? She has a slight crush on the monk, and hates the store owner. ironic isn't it! |
Sango came into the store and saw Miroku and blushed. Everytime she saw him she couldn't help but blush thinking he was cute... unfortunately she didn't yet know about his perverted nature. She came up to Miroku "Ummmm... you got any ceremonial tea ingredients in stock?"
|
"Huh?" he looked at her in surprise, tilting his head to one side. My, she was pretty! But that was kind of an odd request. He gave her a smile.
"I'm afraid not. We're just a convenience store. We mostly carry things like... Well, gas. Soda. Snacks. You know?" He smiled just a little more. |
Hikari smiled as she walked into Miroku's store, like she always did after school. Today, she was especially happy because her favorite manga, Vampire Princess, was supposedly in stock today. She stopped in front of the mirror, and to her relief, her ears were safely hidden beneath her hair. Smiling, she walked over to Miroku and Sango. "Hi Miroku! Did you get the new manga in yet?" she asked with a smile.
|
Miroku looked around Sango and waved at Hikari, gesturing towards the rack of manga. "Yeah, it's right there, Hikari," he said brightly. "They just came in this morning."
|
Sango looked disappointed "Dam... the usual supplier is out" Her father for some strange reason was having her practice tea ceremonies. "Do you carry any kind of tea ingredients?"
|
"Well, we do have a small selection of loose tea," he said, moving around the counter to show her to a shelf with a few small boxes of tea. He picked up a dark green box and held it out to her. "This is some of the best tea we have. It's got a nice taste and color, and I'm sure it'll work for what you're looking for."
|
Sango smiled and took the box of tea handing him the money. Then she remembered something she'd seen in the shrine while sweeping it out and decided to ask Miroku something "You're a monk in training right?"
|
He looked at her, surprised. "Uh... Yeah, actually," he said. "Well, it's a little more complicated than all of that, but pretty much. How did you know?" He wasn't sure if he liked that. Might ruin his reputation with the girls... But then, maybe he could play it to his advantage.
|
Sango lowered her voice so only Miroku would hear "While I was sweeping out the shrine earlier today after school... I noticed a transparent shadow floating around the ceremonial room... I'm pretty sure it's nothing... but something tells me it might be more"
((first demon confrontation?)) |
Sansho was walking down the street wearing her modern clothes walking past multiple building. She was putting the final touches on her hair, pulling it up into a pony tail. She put her cloth holders into her ourse and walked into the conveinience store. "Miroku? Where are you?"
|
Miroku finished ringing her up and held her receipt out to her, eyeing her curiously. Oh, really? A transparent shadow? It was possible she was right, there might have been a dark cloud over their shrine... Or maybe this was just her way of flirting? He smirked a little, feeling hopeful that it was the latter and not the former, and leaned on the counter. "I can stop by later, if you want me to," he said, reaching out to put a hand on her shoulder. "There's no need to worry. We'll get it dealt with."
Ah! Someone else? He looked around Sango and waved politely. "Hello, Sansho, I can be with you in a moment!" |
Sango smiled "Thank you Miroku" She left the store to head to the shrine to clean it up.
((XP sorry couldn't think of anything else)) |
*Nods and waits turn looking over her list*
Hmm I wonder why he looks so familiar (I thought) "Miroku? Can you help me with this? I'm putting on something for my villa- um I mean city, and I need several things" (btw Miroku, can I be your friend on here?) |
((please don't multi post... you'll end up getting kicked from the site by the mods if you keep doing it))
|
Keep doing it? Oh ok sorry. :(
|
{{Um is Shippou or Inu Yasha still open? i don't see anyone asking but i don't know if they are thats fine and if not could you let me know?}}
|
((I am sooo sorry I haven't been on! Things are crazy at home. T_T))
Hikari nodded, and went over to the rack of manga, and to her delight, Vampire Princess was there! She smiled happily, and was heading up to the counter to buy it, when she heard Sango talk about the shadow demon. She stopped, and she ran to the bathroom, realizing her ears were perked up when Sango mentioned the demon. Sighing, she laid them flat against her skull, and prayed that they didn't see anything. She walked out and patiently waited for Sango to be done, keeping her distance. |
