history Tyson was born in Cumberland, Kentucky. As a young boy, he attempted to help out his family by working in the coal mine in which his father had worked before he died. Given the dangerous nature of this work, Tyson found himself trapped in a collapsing mine shaft. While trying to rescue his fellow worker, a friend of his father's who had introduced him to the job, Tyson subconsciously activated his abilites and used it to escape with him. This incident led to Tyson to being found by Brother Blood, who hired him as a mercenary as his second hand man, and used him in a plot to attack the teen tatans. Tyson eventually came to his senses and turned against Blood. the titans saw the good qualities inside Tyson and asked him to join . Tyson left his large farming family in Kentucky to join the team.
