In an episode of Black Jack, the author's other characters make a cameo. Dr. Tenma and his son appear before Black Jack and Pinaco, and we even see Tenma later in the series! A strange and awful plot began to grow in my mind, but before I get too deep and maniacal let's take a look at the wonderful posibilities.


There are no androids here at the beginning of 2010, and Dr. Tenma is ready to introduce his most prized project to the rest of the world when he suddenly disapears. Little does Japan know that he plans to use robots to take over the world. Astro Boy is raised by a different mentor with no knowledge of Tobio or Tenma.

Dr. Hazama Kuroo, or Black Jack as the world knows him, returns from Europe after a long vacation from the many perils of being him. With him he has brought fellow Japanese citizen Yokomaru Rebekah, who introduces Professor Ochanomizu as her friend and mentor as well as Astro Boy. The two hit it off only because Pinaco is so impressed by Astro and makes her hubby come with her to visit him. With cast and crew in tow, Astro is taken to Tom's, Black Jack's house, and on his surgery rounds. Due to Black Jack's influence, Tobio is a lot less wild then he is in the futuristic background of his television show, and begins to study medicine. But he's just as likely to get into trouble as he was before!

The world better watch out as more androids pop out of the woodwork and Tenma's genius plans come to light.
