((Oh God, a love triangle. XD))
Suzaku stared at the girl and said, "Well, actually, no I don't know you're name..." He looked back at the cart filled with boxes and murmured, "Um... I should get back to my job." He turned back to her. "I'll... uh... see you tomorrow in school." Suzaku turned around, picked up the cart, and rolled out of the aisle without another word. A few hours later, Suzaku was finally able to get off work. He wished all the co-workers a good night and headed out of the supermarket. Opening Tryxine's umbrella, he ventured out into the rainy, NYC streets. The great thing about the rain is that no one wanted to be in it, thus making the streets a lot less crowded so that Suzaku would be able to manage finding the suburbs. After finding some loose change in his pockets, he decided to take the city bus home. Getting off at about a block from the apartment building, Suzaku approached the building and saw a figure on the yard bench. As he got closer, he distinguished a girl in a white winter coat. I recognize those bunny ears... "Tryxie-chan!" shouted Suzaku, running up toward the building. He stood in front of the bench, holding the umbrella over Trixine's head. "Tryxie-chan, what are you doing out here? You could get sick, silly girl." He gave her a sheepish smile and helped her off of the soaked bench. "Here. Come on, let's get you inside." "In other news," said the NYC newswoman, "another terrorism attack has occurred today. The victims: a mother and her newborn infant. Some teenage kids lit some dynamite and stuck it in the woman's mailbox. The mother and her six-month-old baby approached the mailbox and she opened it, pulling out the dynamite. Before she could discard of it, the dynamite exploded in her hand, killing her and her newborn..." Leon glared at the TV in the bistro. "How absolutely disgusting," scoffed Stark, shaking his head at the new. "Criminals have spread from adults to children now." Leon stared at the ripples forming in his coffee from the steps of other customers. "It's the kind of thing I wish to stop," he whispered, closing his eyes. Stark stared at Leon with a questionable look. "I don't want to catch the criminals... I don't want to punish for what they've done... I want to be able to stop the criminals from becoming criminals!" Stark's eyes softened and he said, "You're not God, Leon. You can't expect so much of yourself." Leon let out a hissing breath as Stark went on, "Sometimes these things happen, but you can't beat yourself up about it happening. You aren't psychic.. you don't know what's going to happen. All we can do is help bring justice to the ones unjustified... Of course I wish I could do more, but that's not within my power. It's not within your power either, Leon." Stark stared at the downcast face of his friend. "Thank you, Aaron," muttered Leon, raising his head a little. Stark smirked and said, "Anytime, bro." |
Humming to herself Ember entered a coffee shop. She stopped as she heard the news talk of a mother and ther baby being blown up. Stifling a laughter she covered her mouth with her hand and gasped. She loved being able to act like this, no one would think it odd that a teenage girl would react like this. She feel to her knees as she saw the picture of the woman. "I knew them." She said silently looking down.
|
Tryxine's eyes tired and distressed, looked away from Suzaku, but journied in his home with him. Every inch of her body was soaked, and she was freezing, shivering to the bone. She stood at the front door not wanting to tred the water into his house. Tryx still had a frown as she stared at the floor. "Im sorry.. For being foolish" She whispered, her teeth still chattering and she still shivering |
Suzaku looked at Tryxine with concerned eyes and shook his head. "That's alright," he said, opening the door to his apartment. "I'm just worried that you'll get sick. It looks like you've been out there for a while." He lead Tryxine in and said, "I'm sure that you could've waited for me in here." Suzaku shook his head again and said, "Doesn't matter. You look terrible." He frowned at her. "Your clothes are soaked. You really need a shower. You could get hypothermia..." Suzaku gave her a comforting smile. He then turned his head to hide his blushing, and asked, "Do you want to stay here for the night? I know my mother will be okay with it, but maybe you could call your mother..."
Both Leon and Stark looked over at the girl who had emitted a sound that sounded much like a laugh. They both blinked when she collapsed to her knees. "Are you okay?" asked Stark, scrutinizing the red-headed girl. |
Ember managed to get some tears to fall. "I...I used to babysit her little kid." Ember said silently not wanting to look up and give it away. Yes, that's right you foolish Mortal believe the lie. Comfort the enemy.
|
Tryx still shivering pulled her cell out of her coat pocket, completely destroyed. She frowned, how stupid of her.. She looked up at Suzaku, forgetting about it and looked at him, with saddened eyes "That girl. I heard her say she likes you." She closed her eyes feeling her body take over and completely shutting down. Tryxine collapsed and passed out. |
Suzaku stared at Tryxine with a concerned look and said, "Tryxie-chan, what do you...?" Before he could finish his sentence, his friend collapsed. He had caught her before she hit the ground. "Tryxie-chan!" he shouted, shaking her a bit. "Mom! Help!" Kinai hurried into the hallway and kneeled down, taking Tryxine in her arms.
"She's suffering from hypothermia," she said, feeling her pale face. "Go turn on the shower. Make sure it's steaming hot." Suzaku obliged and they took her into the bathroom. Kinai stripped her off her coat and outerwear until she was down to her undergarments. Both Suzaku and his mother lifted Tryxine into the shower. The steam that Tryxine breathes in will increase her blood temperature to normal. *** Leon and Stark stared at the weeping girl in pity. "Wow," said Stark, "that's terrible. It's really sad that something that bad should happen to those innocent people. They didn't deserve it at all. This world is just really rotten..." Leon looked away from the girl and said nothing. He wasn't a pep talk person. |
"I..I need to go." Ember said slowly she stood up and walked out of the coffee shop. She walked in the rain for awhile, then she decided to walk over to Sazaku's. She walked over and was about to knock when she heard Voices inside, she heard Tryxine or what ever her name was talking about Ember saying she liked him, then she heard a thud and everyone began to run about. Sighing Ember turned and walked home. She would have to take care of that girl, she was standing in her way. And no one got in Embers way.
|
[[ > > Ember wants me dead D: ]] Tryx felt the numb shell break free and began to feel warmth again. She gasped, but still kept her eyes closed, her body shook lightly. Slowly her skin became to look normal again, and a couple of seconds it started turning a light red. Her eyes opened finally, and lifted her hands to her face. [[hopefully she's standing from how it seems]] Her knees bent in and shaking softly, along with her arms and withered fingers that curled infront of her lips. She looked over to Kinai first, and then to Suzaku. She blushed, yet they wouldnt be able to tell from the hot water making her cheeks red. And finally she spoke softly "I.. Im sorry.." |
((ĦQue Malo! Hehe... That's 'What a terrible thing!' in Spanish.))
After washing Tryxine over with the steaming water, Kinai looked at Tryxine and saw consciousness returning to her. She helped her sit down in the tub full of ho water and smiled, saying, "It's alright, hun. You just gave us a scare..." She caressed Tryxine's face and stood up. "I'll be back with some warm tea." Kinai left the bathroom and went into the kitchen. Suzaku's eyes were lowered. "Why would you do that, Tryxine?" he murmured, his voice laced with confusion and fatigue. "You know I come home at six, so why would you put yourself in a position that could've gotten you in the hospital?" Suzaku finally looked Tryxine in the eye, but with a look of bitter frustration. "Why would you put me in that position?" He sighead, his eyes returning to downcast. "I'm not angry with you. I just don't understand why you would do this..." It's as if you were trying to harm yourself, he thought but didn't speak. Or gain attention... Suzaku pushed away the bitter thoughts as Kinai stepped in the room again. "I got your tea," she said, placing the plastic cup in Tryxine's hands. She placed a folded outfit on the sink with a towel and said, "Here's your clothes and towel. You just come on out when you're ready. Stay in for several more minutes. I'll call your mom to alert her that you'll be staying over tonight." Suzaku lifted himself from the floor and followed his mother out of the bathroom. |
~~Time Flip~~
Ember walked down the street smoking when she came to Zulema's house. Putting out the Cigarette she walked up to his door and knocked. She knew that Tryxine had stayed the night, but she needed Zuzaku to use the note. She had stayed up all night trying to find a way to make Tryxine leave him alone, the only thing she could think of besides having her brother come to earth disguised as a human, was killing her. She wasn't sure if she could do that on her own. |
[[Remember that Tryxine's laptop and files on the kira case are in Suzaku's room > >]] Tryxine dressed and wanted to give suzaku the hard truth. But alas, she felt the bitterniss from afar, that could belong to Ember. Her heart sank and her head bowed. She wasnt sure what she could do. Someone was there, at his front door, the thought of who it was, made Tryx quiver. As Suzaku was still resting, she leaned and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. "Suzaku.. I love you.." She whispered. Exiting the appartment through the back without notice of Ember she wandered home. Her eyes still puffy from crying, her heart still aching. Late morning, she returned home, her mother was sleeping on the couch with the phone in her hand. "Mom.." Tryx still stood at the door, her mothers eyes opened, and she sat up "Tryxine!" Her mother ran up to her grasping her tight "Im so sorry.. Please forgive me.. I.." She stopped, her mother held her hands on her shoulders and looked into her daughters eyes "You.. What dear?" Her mother tilted her head slightly. "I let my emotions get the best of me.. I heard some girl say they liked Suza-kun, and it made me jealous.. I didnt mean to harm myself in the way I did.. Im sorry" She sobbed lightly hugging her mother tight, her mother leading her to her daughters room and tucking her in "Just relax for today, I'll call Kinai and tell her whats going on" Her mother left her room, and she could hear her already talking on the phone "Kinai." pause, "Yes Tryxine got home safely" She pauses again "Tryxine, she.. Likes your son, Suzaku." She mumbled the rest where Tryxine couldnt hear. 'Just let Suzaku know, and tell him to come visit when he can' [[just because tryxine's laptop and files are there, please, be real, her computer has a pass that only her and Suzaku knows, and the files are in a small brief case that suzaku knows the comb to, DO NOT destroy that information > >... I'll get angry..]] |
((I won't destroy the information... Although she's probably talking to you, Ember... XD Just give me any information that you would like me to have in there, if you have any.))
Suzaku was back in Okinawa... Both him and Tryxine were laying head-to-head on the rooftop, star gazing. Whenever she slept over, they would always spend half the night on the rooftop. "Look!" said the ten-year-old Tryxine, pointing up at the sky. "A heart!" Suzaku scanned to the to where she was pointing and saw a heart in perfect alignment. "Wow..." he said, staring up at in it awe. She looked at him as he gazed upon it. She quickly turned away when he returned her stare. It looked like she was blushing, but he couldn't tell under the darkness of the sky... Suzaku was lifted out of the reminiscing dream and sat up and placed his head on his knees. Those memories were to painful to remember, how everyone was so happy back in Japan. He cast them out during the day, but they always returned to him at night. "Damn you, Father," cursed Suzaku. "This is all because of you... You're a screw-up. Putting your whole family in jeopardy, and doing it all over again here in New York." He thrust his fist into his knees and shouted, "Damn you!" "Suzaku?" said Kinai, knocking on his door. "Are you alright?" "Uhm..." stuttered Suzaku, sitting up against wall. "Yeah, I'm okay." "Can I come in?" A knot formed in his chest and he replied sheepishly, "Er... yeah, sure.." His mother stepped inside his room and seated herself on his bed. "I hope you'll be sympathetic to this," said Kinai, smoothing out Suzaku's wrinkled sheets. "But the reason Tryxie-chan was so upset is because she overheard this one girl from class confessing a crush to you at work..." I frowned, recalling the girl (whose name escapes him) at the supermarket. The one who gave him that note... "Yeah," he replied, waiting for the punch line. "Well, Suzaku," sighed Kinai, "Tryxie-chan really likes you." Suzaku scratched the back of his head and smiled sheepishly. "Uh, Mom," said Suzaku, "I kind of already know that." Kinai blinked and frowned at him, taken aback. "Really?" she asked, almost in disbelief. Suzaku nodded, saying, "I've known that for a long time..." "Well," sighed Kinai, putting her hands on her hips. "Why didn't you tell me?" Suzaku gave his mother a dull look and murmured, "Not really the subject teenagers confide in with their mothers, Mother." Kinai scoffed and said, "Well, do you like her?" Suzaku covered his face with his sheets and groaned, "Mom..." Kinai pulled the sheets from his face, saying, "Tell me!" Suzaku let out a sigh. "I've always thought she was really cool and pretty," he said, shrugging. "But I don't really want to pursue anything. My life's... just to unstable for a relationship right now." Suzaku looked up at his mother, and saw that her face was darkened. "I see," she said in a vacant voice, standing up. "Whenever you have the time, you should go over there." She opened the door and walked out. "Mom, wait," said Suzaku, realizing what he just said, but his mother already shut the door. He sighed and slumped against the wall behind his bed. He saw the Tryxine's pink laptop and a filing folder on his desktop. When did this get here, he thought, picking up the stuff. The label on the folder read 'Kira Case'. Suzaku blinked and eyed the Death Note still on the floor where he left it last. He sat down on his bed, opened the filing notes, and began to read. |
Irritated Ember knocked again. She knew they were awake she could hear people moving inside. She needed to get to him and convince him to use the death note before he got rid of it. She knew that Trxine had given him some information on the Kira case and she needed to know what she knew. The only way she could do that would be to read it.
|
When Kinai exited Suzaku's room, she heard some knocking at the door. She approached it and opened it. "Hello?" she asked. She didn't look familiar. She presumed that the girl was a classmate or something of one of her students. "You here to see one of my kids?" she asked. Kinai concluded that it was for Suzaku, since she was an older kid.
Dammit... dammit... Suzaku closed the files and threw them to the ground. He didn't want to believe it... but it was right there. A few pieces of Tryxine's diary read: "I had gone into Light's room to search for a piece of notebook paper that I could use. I found a black notebook, titled 'Death Note'. I opened it and saw a bunch of names written in it. I recognized some of the names as notorious criminals that had been killed by... Kira..." And on the Kira Case files, right on it was the note that had 'Death Note' etched into the cover, and all the criminals that Light Yagami had killed using it. They were pristine files of the Kira Case, unmistakable for the real thing. Suzaku grasped his face with trembling hands. In his ownership... was the killer of over a thousand people... |
"Yes Ma'am, I'm here to walk to school with Zuzaku-san." Ember said bowing in the presence of an elder. His mother was very pretty, but age had left its marks on her face. "Is he still home?"
|
((Okay, since IUnofficial isn't replying, I guess I will again... And it SUZAKU... ))
Kinai nodded to the red-headed girl and turned around, heading toward her son's room. A new friend? she thought, dubiously. That's interesting... I wonder if it's that girl who confessed her crush to Suzaku... She opened the door and saw her son rocking back and forth on his bed and covering his face with his hands, trembling. "Suzaku?" asked Kinai, stepping forward. "Son, what's the matter?" Suzaku looked up at his mother and said, "Um... uh... just feel a little sick..." "You want to stay home from school?" Suzaku shook his head. The last thing he wanted to do was to stay home with this weapon in his room. He stood up and began to get ready. Kinai stared at him concerned and indicated to the door, saying, "There's a girl here that wants to walk to school with you." Suzaku stopped for a moment and looked up to see the red-headed girl. He narrowed his eyes at her, grabbing the note on the floor and his school back. He stormed out of the apartment and slammed the door behind him. "Take it back," said Suzaku, shoving the Death Note into the girl's hands. "Take it back. I don't want it..." He tuned away from the girl and stormed down the hallway. |
[I didnt post cause there was nothing I could do] Tryxine was home for the day, though she didnt want to linger there. She paced her room, though she should be laying down getting as much rest as possible. Her mother had already gone to work, and she had no father, so that didnt matter. Tryx left her room and down the stairs to the living space. She logged on the computer and was within the school's chat. She had unread messages, from friends that heard she was ill. She replied to them back that she would be back within a day or so, and to be wary of the red headed girl. She entered the chat, instead of continiously writting so many replies. Tryx made a private room with her four friends, and Suzaku, who wasnt online. She started typing before reading someone post 'Do you think that girl has something against you?' Her eyes gazed up 'Theres something about her, I dont trust' Tryxine's mother came through the door, she came home to make sure her daughter was alright. "What are you doing up? You should be sleeping Tryx" Her mother tilted her head. "Im just.. Talking with my friends, I'll lie on the couch ok?" Her mother nodded and walked into the kitchen. She called Kinai "Kinai dear, can you come over, please, I want to make sure Tryx gets some rest.." She asked quietly |
"I really don't know what you are talking about. I didn't give anything to you." Ember said holding the notebook out towards him. He seemed to be in a pretty foul mood. She followed him down the hall huffing to keep up.
|
((It was your turn though, and you could've done all that in the last post, but it doesn't matter now.))
Suzaku scoffed at the girl and turned to her, but didn't waver the speed of his steps. "Don't give me that," he growled, glowering at her with the utmost contempt. "I know you gave that to me, so don't lie. He shrugged off her efforts to give it back and went out of the apartment building. Suzaku turned to her and said, "I came to give it back, so take it back and leave me alone." He turned away again, speeding his pace towards the outskirts of the city. Kinai came over to Tryxine's house with some of her home cooked Japanese stew, called nikujaga, and knocked on the door before entering in. "Konichihua!" she called, shutting the door and placing her pot on the stove. Kinai knocked on Tryxine's door and said, "It's Kinai, Tryxine. How are you feeling?" |
Ember stared at him. Her lip quivered and she feel to her knees. "So a girl professes her love to you, and you treat her like this? Saying she gave you something, when she only thought you'd enjoy since it seemed like something you were intrested in?" She said her head down, these were real tears falling, she couldn't control her self. She didn't care that her make up was ruined, or that her blood red hair was in her face...All she cared about was what Suzaku thought of her.
|
Suzaku glared down at the girl, although he was starting to question himself as she cried, but it the doubt disappeared and the anger heightened when she confessed to giving it to him. "So you lied to me," he hissed, shaking his head. "You said you didn't give me it, now you say you did? I don't want it! Now go away..." Suzaku left the girl behind on her knees, feeling angry but somewhat ashamed at the same time.
|
"I'm sorry Suzaku. Please forgive me, I lied because I thought you'd be angry." Ember said chasing after him. She didn't know what had gone over her, but she was truly upset about this. She'd never known another human to do this to her.
|
Tryxine was back within her room and sat up "Kinai chan, yes Im alright.. Could you maybe.." She paused and put walked to the door "Maybe drive me to school?" She opened the door lightly and was dressed in uniform "I'll eat, then you can drop me off, it would only be third period by then.." She whispered, she knew she needed the rest, but something in her heart told her something wasnt right. Not one bit..
This time, her expression was worry, no pain, nor illness. Her skintone wasnt exactly the right color, it was still a faint pale. She adjusted her coat and puppy eyed Kinai "Please muma" Something Kinai hadnt said in a while. It was the first time she met kinai and Suzuka, that she called Kinai 'Muma' instead of mama, it grew on her though. Tryx hoped that her begging worked, she had to make sure that Suzaku was alright |
As he continued his rapid pace, Suzaku scoffed at the girl and said, "If you think I'd be angry if I'd find out that you gave me the note, then why did you give it to me?" He turned to face her, and stared at her with his indigo eyes now a cloudy grey. "You gave me a murder weapon," he murmured, his voice laced with anger. "You gave me the weapon that Kira used to kill numerous amounts of people." His dark eyes intensified, gleaming with fury. "How in God's name did you manage to get something like that within your grasp? How, where, when did you get this ultimate weapon and why did you give it to me?"
Kinai frowned down at the pleading Tryxine with concern and worry. She wondered why she was so desperate to get to school, but she decided that it must be just Suzaku. Although she tried to suppress it, she couldn't help but smile at Tryxine calling her 'muma' like so long ago. She beamed down at the same little innocent, big-eyed look that she used to see all the time back in Okinawa. Kinai stroked Tryxine's forehead and cheek with the back of her hand, saying, "Well, you look alright... a little pale..." Kinai sighed and said, "I suppose I could... but..." She gave Tryxine a playful sneer, "... if you feel even the slightest bit ill, you call me right away." She turned and added, "Get ready. I'll put some of the nikujaga in your backpack. You can eat it at lunch." |
