"I...I...I don't know, I found it. Then I heard you talking about it, and I was going to give it to you but I lost it, and then I saw you with it.....and I wanted to tell you that It was from me and....I'm sorry." Ember said sniffling and wiping tears. She was truly upset, not only was her plan failing, but deep down she really did have feelings for him.

Suzaku shook his head and turned around, continuing to walk. "I don't believe you," he growled. "Stop lying to me. I can't remember the last time I talked about the Death Note. I haven't ever since several months ago when Light Yagami was caught. You can cut the act, because you're not fooling anyone but yourself..." They were now nearing central city. Suzaku no longer wanted to speak with this girl, so he turned around and hailed a taxi. As the car slowed to a stop, he said to the red-headed girl, "Since you won't tell me the truth, I won't even bother trying to force it out. I don't care." He opened the door and seated himself it in. "Just leave me alone," he muttered, not looking in her face. Suzaku shut the door and the taxi drove off into the bustling streets.

Tryx already ready, she just grabbed her bag and silently went with the ride. She waved at Kinai "I promise, if im not feeling better I'll call" She said cheerfully and quickly made way in the school. She knew it would be 3rd period so she instantly bustled through the halls through the people. Tryxine panted lightly and sat in her seat. Where was Suzaku? She nervously waited.

Ember walked in a blind depressed blur. She wasn't sure where she was going, but as the snow fell around her she could tell that she was no where near home or school. Her body shook from the sobs that escaped her lungs and her tears were drying on her cheek. She noticed a taxi and hailed it. She asked to be taken to the school.
The only thing she could think of was, What the hell am I going to do now. He hates me. The taxi stopped and Ember slipped out and went to the bathroom. Pulling out her make-up she fixed herself up and calmed herself down. Then she sighed and walked into class, she went and sat in the back so she wouldn't have to see him. |
When Suzaku got to school, he was surprised to know that it was the beginning of third hour. He quickly got a tardy pass from the High School office and sprinted down the hallways toward History class. Even during the classes, the corridors of the school were still bustling. No longer did supervisors or teachers enforce the rule of prohibiting cutting classes so much nowadays. It was obvious that the students wouldn't follow it.
Suzaku entered into History class in the midst of a class discussion. Apparently the students had gotten their former football coach into chatting about sports and what not. He was able to slip into an open desk undetected. As he searched at the people behind him, Suzaku saw Tryxine in one a few desks away. He gave her a discreet wave, and sat back in his chair, patiently waiting for the sports discussion to subside. Several minutes later, the red-headed girl from before entered the class. The teacher frowned at her and said, "You're late, Ember. Hurry and sit down." Finally, Suzaku knew her name. |
"Sorry sir. Family emergancy." Ember lied sitting down. She opened her book but realized that they weren't doing anything. Instead she put her hood up and leaned her head on her arms.

When the bell rang Ember grabbed her stuff and walked out before everyone else, she was in such a rush to leave that she left the Death Note on the desk since it was under her stuff. She walked to her locker and put her stuff in it, then took out the stuff she'd need to next block then headed to biology.
