Characters

Originaly Posted By: Cyraus

((If you need someone to be investigating the deaths, I will be happy to take that as well.))

Name: Suzaku Inamine (it is in New York, but I love Japanese names)

Age: 17

Grade: Eleventh

Short Bio: When Suzaku was just about nine years old, his family immigrated from Japan to America on the account of his father's workforce getting into trouble with the law. The Witness Protection Program sent the Inamine family to the U. S. to protect them from hostile accomplices. They were able to enter America with clean slates with the usage of new identities.
The Inamine family did fine in the U. S. for several years, but then Suzaku's father got into selling and addiction of methamphetamine. He was sent to prison and now Suzaku, his brother, Kirano, and his sister, Saya, all work part-time jobs to support their family.

If you found the death note how and where: While Suzaku was walking home on a rainy night from work, he walked down a sidewalk beside a library and slipped on the notebook. After getting drenched, he raised himself and saw the notebook a few inches away from him.

Character pic:

Anything else??: Suzaku has a strong conscience that always nags him for doing something wrong, so it is difficult for him to kill people using the notebook, but he eventually gets used to it.

Originaly Posted By-iUnofficial

Name:
Tryxine Dianme
[[pronounce; Tricks - een, Die - an - may]]

Age:
16

Grade:
10th

Short Bio:
Remember what had happened in the past with the recent Death of L, and the fall of Kira, inspired Tryxine to investigate into more and more about the supernatural and the Kira case in itself. She knew Light's sister, how odd. Tryx had looked up to L, and wept at his death, Though understandably, Kira wanted to rid the world of crime, he didnt understand he was commiting it himself. He was murdering those that were learning their lesson in prison, or from regret. Tryx was able to investigate secretly, and give in information secretly as well.. As young as she is, she's quite smart..

Character pic:

Name: Leon Stone

Age: 28

Grade: Out of school

Short Bio: Leon's whole life had been about law and criminal justice. His father was a police officer, and his mother was a private investigator. Throughout his life, Leon had been taught right from wrong. Their passion sunk into him, and he enrolled into a school for criminology and law studies. All of his energy and time had been not only into stopping crime, but also preventing it. Leon's effort had put him into a top detective.
Although Leon's labor is good, his passion goes into law and only law. All of his romantic relationships lasted no more than a few weeks after the girl discovered that he was a workaholic. Leon no longer sought after any relationship other than his work.

Character pic:

Anything else??: If an investigation of his turns cold, Leon is put under great stress and often goes into a state of depression (which put him on depressants). Ever since he joined the police force, he developed the habit of smoking. Whenever depression comes, Leon will chain-smoke for a few days. He is under risk of developing lung cancer.

With the rain pounding on his umbrella, Suzaku hurried through the streets to get to his home. I better not catch a cold, he thought to himself, stopping at a intersection just as the pedestrian crossing light turned to a blaring red 'DON'T WALK'. I knew I shouldn't have worked overtime, Suzaku sighed to himself. He worked at a local supermarket for stocking and sorting products. He was getting behind on schoolwork, so he had cut back on work. Whenever this would happen, Suzaku would always work overtime; this time he regretted it.
Checking his watch, Suzaku hurried over the road, trying to avoid as many people as possible, and continued to rush through the bustling streets of New York City. I'm already late for dinner, he thought as squeezed through the charging barrier of people. My family won't be too happy for that. Suzaku recalled his life back in Okinawa. The streets were usually empty at this time of night. It was always a peaceful quiet, unlike the loud, sleepless NYC.
A group of drunken teenagers danced by, all wearing matching 'I LOVE NYC' shirts. Suzaku would never dream of buying one of those shirts because, truthfully, he hated it. The all-night block parties in the neighborhoods, the blaring, late-night traffic, and the fear of gang colors. Just last month, an old lady was shot by a gang-banger for wearing a red sweater. Although the Inamine family lived in the suburbs, the bustling NYC could be heard for miles. But, the Witness Protection Program suggested that the family live in a congested area.

Suzaku finally entered into the outskirts of the city. He was finally able to breath with the open space, but his relief didn't waver his speed. It's only a few blocks now... I'm sure Mother won't be too distressed; she'll understand that I... Suzaku let out a cry when his right foot skidded across the ground and into the air. He landed on his upper back, forcing the air out of his lungs. His umbrella flew out of his hands and pursued the wind. Coughing, Suzaku slowly raised his upper body to sitting position, holding the back of his head. He looked behind him and saw his umbrella flying away. Quickly recovering from the fall, Suzaku got up and chased after it. It flew into the street where a car was just heading toward it. It was too late to cry out, 'No!'. The umbrella hit the car's grill and was pulled under by a tire. Suzaku stared at its remains in despair. He walked into the street and picked up the twisted metal and torn fabric.
Rubbing his throbbing head, he continued on his path to home. Until he came upon it, Suzaku had forgotten completely about what he slipped on. He looked down and saw a black notebook just a few inches away from him. Bending over, he picked up the note and turned it over. The light that emitted from the streetlights were too dim to see the small title engraved in it. Suzaku moved forward until he was directly under a streetlight. Rubbing off the water droplets on the note, he squinted at the text written on the cover.
"Death.... Note," he read. Scoffing at the title, Suzaku looked around and saw a library just to his right. "This must be theirs," he assumed. He opened the soiled book and saw no words written in it; only empty lines waiting to be filled. "Must be just a notebook..." Suzaku turned it over to the front page and saw text written on the inside of the cover. Again, he could not read under such dim lighting. Shrugging, Suzaku continued on his journey home.

Jumping up from her bed, Ember felt someone pick up the death note. Laughing she settled back down, tomorrow she would find out who had it, tonight she would let them read the rules and find out about the book. Sitting up she streched out and yawned, being in this human body was fun to her. She could get any guy at school she wanted to come over for a little fun, Her roommates Najuka and Nadia loved it, mostly when they were hungry.

Ember got up and walked into the kitchen. She opened the fridge and pulled out a bright red apple, she took a huge bite out of it and went into the living room. Najuka was laying on the couch with another girl making out and what not, Nadia was no where to be seen. "Someone finally picked up the book." She said turing on the news. It was a news special about another killing just around the block, A little boy murderded over his angels hat that was blue. "Humans are so stupid sometimes." Ember sighed taking another bite out of her apple. "When are you going to find out who it is?" Najuka asked coming up for air. "Tomorrow after school. When are you going to tell your Girlfriend about us?" I asked staring at her. "What do you mean?" The girl asked.

Ember looked at her and smiled. "Do you know what a Shinagami is?" She asked with a smile playing at her full lips. "A god of death." She replaied. "Yes, well Naj and I are Shinagamies. You know we eat people after we have fun with them." I said with a wider smile. She looked at Naj with wide eyes. "Really?" She asked sounding scared. "Go ahead Naj, show her." I said narrowing my eyes but still smiling. Naj sighed and stood up she took the girl into her room and closed the door. Moments later there was a loud scream then nothing. Naj came back in and sat down. "You got a little blood on your lip." Ember said with another smile. "I hate you." Naj said crossing her arms. "I know."

((I usually roleplay with multiple characters. Do you think I could take on a normal private investigator that gets involved, but not the main investigator that iUnofficial is. Maybe the investigator and Tryxine could work together?))
Relieved to finally see his apartment building in view, Suzaku sped up his pace. It was about half after eight. Suzaku entered the building and walked up the steps to the second floor. Walking down the corridor to the door 203, he stared at the ruins of the umbrella. If his mother won't be bothered by not being notified about his overtime, she was bound to be vexed by the broken umbrella. It was the only umbrella they had to share among Saya, Kirano, and himself. He would just buy another one once he got his paycheck that week.
Suzaku walked through the door, hearing the clatter of glasses, and walked into the kitchen. His brother and sister were just finishing up dishes. Saya looked over at him and said, "Konnichiha, kyou (Hello, older brother)." Kirano smiled at his brother as well. Suzaku nodded to them and walked into the living room. His mother sat on the sofa, smoking a cigarette.
"Hello, Mother," said Suzaku, giving her a little bow. "I apologize for being late. I had to work overtime and it took forever to get here through the rain, and the people..." His mother, Kanae (Kin-ai), nodded looking off into space, but her brow furrowed at she noticed the broken umbrella in his hand.
"What's that in your hand?" she asked, taking a puff. Suzaku cringed slightly and said, "Erm... it's the umbrella. I lost it and it was run over by a car..." Kanae sighed and said, "You owe me an umbrella..." Suzaku nodded and said, "When I get my paycheck, I'll buy all four of us one!" Kanae nodded again, her eyes losing focus again. She's thinking about Dad, he thought, noticing the vacancy in her eyes.
"What's this?" said Kirano. Suzaku looked behind him and saw his 14-year-old brother holding up the note. He had almost completely forgot about it and unconsciously put it on the table. He opened it up at the first page and saw the written text on the cover. "'The... human'," he spoke cautiously, still not used to reading in English text, "'whose....'" Suzaku smiled at his brother and leaned behind him to read the text.
"Here, it says: 'The human whose name is written in this note shall...'" Suzaku let out a suppressed gasp when he realized what that last word was. He took it from his brother's hands and he said, "Hey! Wait, did that last word say 'die'?" Saya, Kanae, and Kirano all stared at him questionable. Suzaku blinked and said, "Uh.... no," he said, looking at it again. The human whose name is written in this note shall die. "It said buy! The person will buy the book!" Suzaku quickly retreated into his room.
The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
Suzaku opened the note again and read below first rule.
'This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.'
That makes sense.... but what? Does this book read your mind or something?
'If the cause of death is writen within 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen.'
You can make a person die how you want them to... how accommodating...
'If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack.'
'After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minures and 40 seconds.'
Suzaku scoffed and threw the note on his desk. What a load of... A thought came to him. The Kira case... in Japan... He gawked at the book. Notorious criminals suddenly dying of heart attacks every day.... But the police caught that guy... he was killed... but it was said they never found out how the killings were caused. Suzaku narrowed his eyes and picked up the book again. Flipping through the pages, he came to the end of the book which held three more rules on the inside of the cover.
'This note shall become the property of the human world once it touches the ground of (arrives in) the human world.'
Human world? What do they mean by that? Is this some sort of extraterrestrial object?
'The owner of the note can recognize the image and voice of its original owner, i. e. a god of death.'
Suzaku smothered his gasp. A god of death? Shinigami? He recalled the multiple stories of unseen souls that lead souls to Heaven and take lives. Could this note be talking about Shinigamis?
'The human who uses this note can neither go to Heaven nor Hell.'
Suzaku's brow furrowed and he sat down on his bed. If they can't go to Heaven or Hell, where will they go? He closed the book and sighed.
"This is probably just a prank influenced by the Kira case," he murmured, tossing it on the floor. It probably means nothing...

Sighing Ember leaned deeper into her chair. It was raining outside and she hated getting wet unless needed. She looked at her watch, school would begin in 6 hours. Untill then she would have to find something to do. Getting up she walked to her room and went to bed.

~_~Time FLip~_~

Ember stood in front of the mirror getting ready for school. She had already outlined her green eyes with thick black eyeliner and purple eyeshadow. She finished her hair and checked her outfit. She had on a her school uniform, a purple and black miniskirt with matching top, and black stockings. It reminded her of when her brother had been in Japan a few years ago. Turning out the light she went and grabbed her bag and an apple then walked to school.

She had searched and found the name of the guy who had found her DeathNote, His name was suzaku, He was in the witness protection program and had been stationed here in NYC of all places. She realized she had two classes with him and study hall. She planned to talk to him and try to gain his favor and get him to use the DeathNote. The only thing that bugged her was how. She couldn't exactly walk up to him and start talking about it. I'll bring up the Kira case from Japan and see what he says. She thought as she walked into the school.

"Hey Ember." A couple students said as she opened her locker. She had been here not even three months and already she was known pretty well around the school. She waved to a couple of them. then grabbed her books and walked into class and sat in the seat next to where Sazaku Normally sat.

((Umm... you didn't answer my question. Could I have an additional character as a private investigator?))
The droning tone of the alarm clock pulled Suzaku away from his reverie of tranquil dreams and into bitter reality. His body was awake, but his mind was still grasping to the precious reminiscences of the day in Okinawa. The afternoons spent chasing his siblings around on the beach... hiking with the family on camping trips... sitting up top of the roof, watching the sun sink below the horizon. Mother was energetic and happy, and his father was... Suzaku's eyes snapped open once his mind reached the memory of his father.
He rose to his feet and hurried to get dressed in his school uniform. It was the uniform that he had from his school in Okinawa. The only tangible piece of school in Japan he held with him. The other students never abode by the rules of school uniforms, so the faculty never sought to compel them to. About the leave the room, Suzaku noticed the black notebook on his floor where he left it the night before. He narrowed his eyes and left the room, without looking back.

The first class was American Literature, one of Suzaku's favorite classes. Although, he didn't like it as much as Japan literature. The American's literature was inspiring, but very cliche. The Japanese had a very unique style of writing, very bizarre and grotesque but always with a hidden message.
Suzaku entered in his classroom and found a student had already occupied his usual seat in the very front. Without even bothering to look at who had claimed it, he turned and took one of the unoccupied seats nearer to the back. He sat down and opened his notebook to the previous day's notes.

((Of course))

Ember sighed at her friend Naj took the seat next to her in the front. "Why?" Ember asked narrowing her eyes at her. "I wanted to sit next to you." Naj said making a puppy dog face. "Well, the guy you sits there has gotten the note." Ember whispered, then seeing Suzaku enter the room she changed the subject.

"Remember the Kira case in Japan?" She asked Naj. "Uh....Yeah why wouldn't I, your brother got in a lot of trouble over that." Naj said with a dreamy smile as she thought of him. "Well, they found some new information on how the murders where done." Ember said watching Suzaku's reaction. "What are you talking about, Mr. Light was found dead, the murders stopped, what else is there to find?" Naj asked sounding a little worried. "They found this book hidden in Lights bedroom, Inside were the names of every bad guy who had died during the investigation. Including his own father!" Ember said with a little smile.

The teacher walked in and class began, during the whole class Ember continued to look behind her at sazaku. She wondered if he had heard her talking about the note, and if he would approach her about it.....Sighing she opened her lit notes and continued to take notes on Shakespeare.

((Yay! I'll pm it to you so you can edit your character post and put him in there as well))
As Suzaku refreshed his memory of yesterday's class, he heard someone mention the Kira case. He glanced over and saw that it was the girl that had taken his spot. She was conversing with another new student right in front of her.
"They found this book hidden in Lights bedroom, Inside were the names of every bad guy who had died during the investigation. Including his own father!"
Suzaku felt his heart stop in his chest. No... it can't be... His face drained of color.
The human whose name is written in this note shall die...
Suzaku clutched his face with both of his trembling hands, his vision growing blurry.
The human whose name is written in this note shall die...
He realized that he had been holding his breath and let it out in a hiss. Suzaku dropped his hands and let his head bow, breathing deeply. The casual chatter of the students and the teacher's lecture was now whispers in the back of his head. The knot in his chest felt like a blade through his heart. With his body growing hot all over, the cool air around him formed goosebumps over his skin. He tried to rub them away, but a churning feeling arose in his stomach.
"Mr. Inamine!" shouted the teacher, breaking Suzaku away from his nausea. "Would you kindly answer my question?" He let out a gasp and stood up, "I need to go to the nurse." The teacher frowned at the student, but noticed how nauseated he was.
"Alright," she said, nodding. "Go ahead. Suzaku gave a brief bow and staggered toward the door, bumping into desks as he went.

Lies.... all lies... I knew it.
Suzaku sighed and rested his head on the keyboard. He had searched up 'Kira Japan' and even 'Death Note' in a bunch of search engines and nothing had come up. That notebook must be her working... She must've seen me pick it up and played this horrible trick on me. Suzaku smiled. And I fell for it... He let out chokes of laughter, but the librarian then shushed him. He suppressed his furious giggles, but the humor soon went away. I'm getting rid of that book as soon as I get home...

Tryxine studying quietly to herself within the library noticed Suzaku and smiled lightly walking over to him and tapping his shoulder "Suza-kun, what're you doing here, you should be in lit class" She whispered and took the open chair next to him scanning the screen with her eyes briefly "The Kira case?" She frowned lightly "Sayu was Light's little sister, I used to be friends with her.. Suza-kun, what do you need to know about that case.. Why are you concerned?" She had a slight curiousity, for it being so long of the case, why bring it up again? Tyrx didnt like the thought and hugged Suzaku lightly "Never mind.. Uhm.. About studying tonight.. Im.. Busy"

She hid her frown within a smile, but still showed her saddened eyes. "Here" She handed him the homework she had finished. "I have to go.." Tryxine turned her back from him and walked away grabbing her books and such.

'L would've changed the world, he was the true hero.. Light was wrong for what he had done, and to pretain himself as God..' She stared at the ground as she walked the halls to get to her locker. 'Light killed L.. He killed a few innocent people.. What am I doing.. This happened a long time ago, Tryxie forget it'

She shook her head and made it to her locker opening it and putting her things within it and grabbed her bag putting it over her right shoulder and paused

"Suzaku, whats going on in your mind right now.."
She whispered to herself

Suzaku jumped suddenly when he heard a voice call out to him. He sighed, but then froze up when she mentioned his search of the Kira Case. "Oh," he murmured, growing hot again. "Hello, Tryxie-chan. I -uh- am doing the literature assignment. We are suppose to do an report on a worldly crisis, and I chose this..." Suzaku's face fell a little bit when Tryxine claimed she was busy. He was the only other Japanese student; when he was with her it felt like home. He recovered from his disappointment and nodded. As she left him, he began to feel guilty. Never had he brought up the Kira case to her. Whenever it is mentioned, the grief of L's death returns to her. He knew how passionate she was about L, so he never talked about it. Suzaku sighed and logged off the computer. The second hour bell was just about to ring, and he figured he'll attend that one as well. He just hoped that those girls from literature class aren't in there as well...

Tryxine's last class was with Suzaku, and she would always be by his side since she never really knew anyone else within that class. She sat in a center desk and closed her eyes erasing the thought of the Kira case from her mind and thought she shouldnt have canceled studying with Suzaku.
Tryx pulled out her notebook and pen for the class, even though within the hour wasnt much to do. Silently she started to draw something she remembered hearing from Mr. Yagami. 'A monster he claimed. L called it, a shinigami.'
It was the image of Ryuk. Finishing the drawing, she tore it from her notebook and crumpled it up. "Why is it, nothing feels right, at this moment.." She wondered aloud

Ember walked into her last class and noticed that Zuzaku was in this class along with Tryxine who she reconized from around school. She went to her seat and sat down lacing her fingers together and placing her elbows on the table she put her face in the palm of her hands and started at him intently. She grabbed the packet she had gotten from her brother and tossed it at him. "I noticed you seemed intrested in the Kira case when I spoke of it earlier." She said smiling slowly.

Now that Suzaku's anxiety has been disarmed, the rest of the classes were going by nice and quick. His last class was the study of economics, which usually seemed to last the longest. During the few minutes of the class idling, he felt something hit the back of his head. It didn't exert pain, but plenty of irritation. Letting out a sigh, Suzaku turned to look at the lying red-headed girl behind him.
"I noticed you seemed interested in the Kira case when I spoke of it earlier."
She smirked as she said this. He returned the sardonic smile, replying, "Yes, I actually am. I'm going to be doing a report on it, and I'll be sure to include the homicidal book you mentioned." Suzaku's expression changed to a contemptuous glare. He turned around and furiously ground his nails into his pencil.

Detective Leon Stone stared at the sobbing woman in front of him, no emotion lingering in his facial features whatsoever. It was evident that the information he received would be considered a full-fledged confession.
"You burned your husband, Mrs. Emery," he stated, his voice also vacant. Her sobs turned to shrills. "You burned your husband because he was leaving you for another woman. You thought that if he was disfigured, then no one would want him. No one would want him but you." Mrs. Emery laid her head on the table and continued bawling. "You didn't mean to kill him, did you?" Quieting her sobs, the woman raised her red face and shook it.
"No," she gasped. "I d-didn't... I wanted.. I didn't mean to kill... It was the only r-re... reason he would st-stay with m-m-me!"
"Because no one would want to love him," said Leon. "You loved him, didn't you? You did this out of love." She nodded, shielding her watering eyes. "You would still love him if he was still alive. If the burns weren't severe enough."
"Ye-hes," wailed Mrs. Emery. "I only wanted... for h-him... to stay." She clutched her hair and whispered, "To stay with me... I had no one else!" Leon nodded and looked off to the side.
"What you did was wrong, Mrs. Emery," he said, the edges of his voice hard.
"Yes..." she replied, but he then said, "But you have perfectly understandable reasons. The fact that this was a crime of passion undoubtedly releases you from the death penalty. But I wouldn't rejoice. You are at the risk of life without parole. Now that your husband is gone for good, you should know that for your act, you may never have anyone ever again." Mrs. Emery trembled and let out a few more sobs. "Accept the consequences graciously, and perhaps God may have mercy. Dismissed." Leon rose from his chair and left the questioning cubicle.
"You did good, Stone," said an accomplice, Detective Aaron Stark. He walked with him down the police station's corridors. "You just saved us from a trial."
"We still need a sentence trial," retorted Leon. Stark scoffed and said, "Well, at least you'll please the DA. His paperwork is not cut in half." They left the station and headed toward their bistro. Leon pulled out a cigarette and lit it. "You're such a damn suck-up." Taking a puff, he smirked and said, "It's required in the application form."

Ember sighed as Zuzaku turned back around. So he thought she had given him the book. As if she single handedly picked him out of everyone who lives in NYC....Maybe in a way she did. She had told the book to find someone who was strong minded but could be persuaded to use it......She waited untill class was over then grabbed her bag and walked out the door and out of school. She wanted to follow Zuzaku home and see if she could convince him to use the book but she couldn't fingure out how......

"It may be the begining of a new year, but I already dont like that girl." Tryxine lingered within the class with Suzaku and frowned "You seem so much into the Kira case, I guess I should tell you something.." She paused and walked over to Suzaku "I was within the investigation, because I was close to Sayu, but I was never mentioned, or anything, Light's room was bugged, yes, he knew that, but when he would be gone, and I would be there with Sayu, I would sneak into his room for any evidince." She frowned again "There was a book.. I didnt touch it, but it was in a compartment in his deskdrowr. I told one of the other investigators where it was, and Light ended up dead soon after." Tryxine choked on her own words "Light found me in his room, but he didnt kill me.. I dont understand" She closed her eyes tight in the memory that she tried losing.

"What are you doing in here?!" Light was angered, Tryxine was scared to death "Light, Im sorry! I promise!! I wont tell anyone!" Light grasps Tryxine by the neck and lifts her off the ground "Your damned right, you wont tell" He threw her against the wall, she stumbles and crawls out, leaving the Yagami home. Light knew he couldnt trust her, Ryuk, wrote Light's name within the deathnote, all according to plan. Tryxine went to the hotel, and told one of the investigators, it instantly went to Near. With procation Near waited for things to settle, and head the next day finding Light was dead, and the Deathnote was found where Tryxine said it would be.

Shaking her head she looked away "I have the files, everything, at home, they trusted me with it because no one but L himself knew I was investigating with him. If anything were to happen to me, I had to delete everything, if anything were to happen to Watari, he had to do the same. Watari died, I didnt, Light didnt know until the end.. If you really want to know about it, just.. Come over later." She whispered and put her backpack onto her shoulders "It looks like rain again" She frownedand handed Suzaku her umbrella, then left Suzaku within the class alone. Tryxine journied alone as the cold harsh wind blew her to her destination. The sky dimmed, proving itself that it was going to rain very soon

Ember glared at Tryxine as she heard her talk about her. She stayed in the hallway outside the room listening to everything she said. So it was true.....Ryuk had written Lights name in the DeathNote. He had lied when she asked....Ignoring this new information Ember walked out of the school and went into the Alley way next to the store where Suzaku worked.

(('Tis! It's Su-zaku. Suzaku! :squee: Get it right! *cries*))
Suzaku stared at Tryxine in disbelief. He knew she was friends with Sayu, but none of how she was involved in the capture of Kira. "Why didn't you tell me this all before?" he whispered to her. The knot in his chest formed again. A book... He shook his head to himself. It didn't make any sense. Tryxine was always fretting over the Kira case, with her obsession, she could've just imagined being part of it to put Light Yagami away. It seemed like something she would do to make closure with L's death. It also didn't make sense why Light would allow her to live if she had discovered it. But Suzaku stayed quiet and took Tryxine's umbrella graciously.
As soon as the bell rang, Suzaku sauntered through the bustling people crowding the corridors of the school. He crossed over his locker and got his school work. He then squeezed his way into the barrier of students, letting them carry him toward the exit. The population density then multiplied as he entered into the New York City streets. Suzaku felt the carbon dioxide in the air intensify as he walked out. Along with the humidity, it made the air heavy and sticky in his lungs.
Suzaku began his journey towards the supermarket across City Center, thinking of ways to discard the Death Note. Perhaps he should just return the book to that girl? What does it matter, anyway? I'm getting rid of it one way or another... He sighed and approached the building. After entering the stirring aisles of the market, Suzaku put on his uniform: a golden vest, rimmed with purple on the cuffs, collar, and sleeves. Taking out products from the storage room, he began stacking them on the shelves in which the product's category fit.

Ember entered the store and headed towards the back where Suzaku was stocking the shelves. She walked up and smiled. "Fancy seening you here." She said sarcasticlly. She knew this was where he worked as she had seen him countless times before. Only this time she was talking to him when usually she was just ignoring him while shopping with Naj.

Tryxine walked up to her room and dressed in her pink winter coat, and pulled up the hood with its bunny ears flopping up. She buttoned up and put on her white gloves. Grabbing her spare umbrella she returned to the living room

"Tryx dear, can you get a few things?" Her mother called
"Yeah, sure, what do you need?" She replied
"Eggs, milk, butter, and bread, thats all I need"

With that, Tryxine left, wind picked up. She walked to the store without thinking that Suzaku was working there. Her cream coloured messanger bag had her laptop and files, she planned on going to Suzaku's after, to apologize of how she acted, but then to prove, she was really in the case.

She entered the store and seen Suzaku, also, the Ember girl that was in their class. She thought it would be best to just get everything now and talk to Suzaku later. She wandered around the store with a basket in her hand, getting everything she needed, and waited for an open cashier

As he stacked several bags of chips on a shelf, Suzaku heard a familiar voice and turned around to meet the stare of the 'Death Note' girl from class. He glowered at her and turned back to his work, not answering her. Rolling the cart along, he saw Tryxine pass by. Suzaku waved to her, but she didn't answer back. Frowning, he looked behind him and still saw the red-headed girl. She must not want to get involved with her... he thought, moving into another aisle. I wish I wasn't involved. He sighed and began stacking some packages of toilet paper.

"Are you seriously going to ignore me?" She asked following him. She understood why he would ignore her seeing how he thought she sent the death note, but still. Thinking quietly she stopped. "I....have a crush on you." She whispered, she really wasn't lying. She did think he was cute, and she wouldn't mind calling him her boyfriend. She stood there looking down and making herself blush like she thought a normal teenager would after admitting her feelings. She wasn't sure if she heard her, but she wasn't going to give up.

((Hey Ember, how did you get that tattoo on your right eye. I've been seeing it everywhere!))
Suzaku didn't reply to her first statement and continued stacking the toilet paper. Once she confessed her feelings, one slipped from his hands and knocked down several others. He quickly picked them up and put them back in their place. Once he was done, Suzaku stared at the girl with a blank expression. He couldn't stop from the heat reaching his face. He scratched the back of his head and said, "Uh... okay.. well..." He felt the saliva thicken in his mouth and quickly gulped. "I... don't think I've been properly introduced." Suzaku reached out his trembling hand and said, "I'm Suzaku Inamine." He gave her a sheepish smile, attempting to stop his hand from shaking.

"How do you do get these confessions?" asked Stark, sipping his latte. They were in the bistro and had each had ordered a sandwich. Leon stared off into space and replied, "I don't know, really. I don't have to say much. I just allow them to come on their own, instead of intimidate them. I guess the guilt just gets to them."
"I dunno," cooed Stark. "I think your pretty intimidating. Your face scares me when you give the the 'shut up' glare." Leon stared at him and Stark shuddered. He smirked and took a swig of his coffee.
"Well, intimidation can be also used for seduction," said Stark, looking up at the ceiling, a hint of a smile in his lips. "Not to mention being a big, scary detective." Leon glared at him and said, "Don't start with me..." Stark leaned over the table and said, with desperation in his eyes, "Why not? I'm telling you, man, you need a break off of this job. You need some time for living." Leon let out an irritated sigh and said, "This job is living. It's the only life I know..."
"But don't you wanna know something else," cooed Stark, snapping his fingers under the table and swaying his body. "Or someone else." Leon shielded his eyes and suppressed a smile. "I'm tellin' ya. You need to spend your night with someone else than the paperwork."
"Shut the hell up, Stark," said Leon, kicking his shin under the table. Stark doubled over and mouthed 'oooowww'. He smirked at his pained accomplice and sipped his coffee.

((Blue Wadjet Make-up (Eye 3)))

"Well, you know my name" Ember said just as shyly. She wasn't quite sure why he was being so nervous but sure she could play along. She took his hand and held on like she thought someone would to the hand of someone who liked them. She kind of liked the way his hand felt against hers, but she had to keep the mission in mind.

Tryxine growled angirly and left the store, heading to Suzaku's place, she was quite irritated. On the way, it started to rain, she yelped and got there to his home fast. She frowned, but knew her laptop wasnt harmed in anyway. Tryxine was warmly let in, but all she done was put her laptop and files in his top dresser. She stuck a note on it 'Im trusting you with this information, please return it when your done'

Tryxine warmly bowed and left. The pitter patter of the rain was soothing, but at the same time she was upset. She sat onto a bench a ways from Suzaku's street and sniffled lightly "Suza.. Why is it you never seen how I've felt for you.." She held her head low, soaked from the rain, and her hoods rabit ears flopped down.

Tryxine's phone was now ruined, she heard its muffled ringing, but ignored it. She continued waiting for Suzaku, she didnt want to up and leave. She coughed lightly, and sniffled again. Her eyes saddened, but stayed in place. Remaining, and sitting on the soaked bench.
