(Ahhh! Sorry. Late from work and my comp's been acting up recently.)

Kita continued her efforts on the punching bag. Every hit getting closer and closer to the ceiling, but still to no avail. She was beginning to tire, but as her teacher would have told her, "Getting tired is the BODY'S way of saying stop, but as long as the mind is willing, you can accomplish your deepest goals." Kita repeated this continually out loud.

Finally she built up all of her anger and channeled it into her fist, with her final punch she broke the bag from the chain and sent it ten feet back. She laid down on the ground not even worrying about the fact that she just broke the bag. After looking up from the ground she saw a woman just sitting there. Kita stood up bowing at the lady.

"I am deeply sorry miss. I had no intentions of breaking the equipment. I guess my training just got the better of me." Kita said still bowing and staring at the floor in embarrassment.

Rinoa quick gave a lesson recap to Rita before asking the whole class. "Okay who here has more than 1 Summon?" She looks aroung at her class.

Paine watched as Kita exerted herself coming closer and closer to the ceiling. After it broke off and she was noticed she stepped forward "You've got some strength in those arms" She was speaking to her as she would speak to Yuna or Rikku.

Rita listened as well as she could, but by the end of the recap, a frustrated look sat sternly on her face. She spoke too quickly for me to understand any of it... Rita sighed and crossed her arms over her chest, shaking her head lightly, hair bobbing from side to side, in response to the teacher's question.

Ashura looked around, waiting for someone to raise their hand.

"I think most of us only have one at the moment..I only have one, Shiva."

She noticed the inquisitive girl, Rita, bobbing her head. She whispered.

"Do you have two?"

After the last recap, Kuja lead his students outside to the back woods. When they got to a clearing he motioned them to stop. Nature has a lot to offer Geomancers, if you are willing to look. He pointed to a corner, where an imp was standing.

"These smaller monsters are perfect for practice."

Kuja then waved his hand, whispered a few words and a tree lifted it's roots and smashed the imp like it was nothing. A small smile crawled across his lips with his display. Then, he turned to his students.

"Now we shall learn that, any questions?"

Ray watched the teacher in awe although the expression was not on his face he was amazed at how easy Mr. Kuja made that look, he was impressed.

"Sir I am curious, could you have controlled the imp you smashed as well?"

Rayvin was ready to be able to manipulate everything possible and use it at will. The boy is extremely ambitious.

Kita smiled a bit and then it faded.

"Kita Utashi ma'am. I've been training with the monks for as long as I can remember." Kita said, still a little embarrassed about the punching bag. She let her anger get the best of her and that's completely against what she had been trained to do.

Paine replied "I'm Paine... a Sphere hunter when I'm not teaching." it was obvious from her garb that she was a warrior but there was something on her arm that held several crystal like orbs of several different colors in it that each gave of a glow in the center.

"A real sphere hunter?" Kita questioned, she had learned about the sphere hunters from books that she had one of the tour guides bring her while she was at the monastery. She was amazed to meet one though. She hadn't met too many different types of people while in the mountains. Not a lot of people came to the monastery and the few that did were typically just other monks from other monasteries.

"So that means you are really powerful right?" Kita said smiling a lot now.

Paine replied "Power is how you want to see it... there are more powerful people than me out there" Her real power came from her ability to work with Yuna and Rikku.

Rita looked over at Ashura, quickly realizing that her guise had fallen for a moment. She quickly recomposed herself and shook her head more rapidly. "I, uh... I don' t even have one..." She looked down at the ground and kicked it shyly, her outfit ruffling slightly as she did.

"Understandable, sorry for my arrogance." Kita said bowing her head. Sixteen years of living under the hand of the monks and yet she still had issues keeping her thoughts of grandeur under control.

"So are you my teacher for fighting Ms. Paine?" Kita questioned. It would be nice to know the teacher that she would be following for the rest of the year. And Paine seemed like someone that she would learn much from. She had a very powerful appearance about her and seemed as the Kita could learn a lot from her.

Kita thought back to the days with the monks and how she had learned so much from them. If only she had been able to finish her training with them. She was glad to be gone from the mountain ranges, but it was nice to be around other people that weren't so up tight and weren't so mystical.

Ashura blinked at Rita. "Oh, I thought you where motioning to the teacher that you had."

Kuja looked back at Rayvin. "Well, no. You see Geomancers use the elements around them for magic. Since Animal life is not considered an element you can not control it."

((I had to double check that..but I cant find anything in the FF world stating that geomancers can control life magic))

Paine replied to Kita "Yes you'll be my student then... that's what gym is for... but everybody has some fire in their soul... you have to learn to reign in this arrogance and turn it into an inferno as a monk, warrior, knight, or any other melee class"

Rinoa asked her students "How many of you remember how to junction?"

"Oh, no, no, no, no..." Rita shook her head wildly, again and held her hand out.
"Fire."
She whispered and a ball of flame ignited around her hand.
"I'm a black mage, see..." She began and ball her hand, extinguishing the fire. "...Never really need an Eidolon." She smiled pertly and looked back to the teacher.

Ray nodded at his teacher's answer. He then closed his eyes to listen to the forest and see if he could feel its life. As he relaxed his body and focused he could feel the life force of the forest, it was so calm and serene. It reminded him alot of himself or more so the way he carried himself. Rayvin inhaled one big breath then exhaled and was sure he was ready to try and manipulate the forest.

Kita nodded. She understood exactly what Ms. Paine was saying. She had been hearing various forms of that statement for years. She was still young, but there is no set age that you can die at and as she had been told by her previous teacher, arrogance on a battlefield will get you killed.

"Sorry for seeming so overzealous Ms. Paine, but where do we start? I already know fighting, and I'm efficient and channeling my power to specific parts of my body." Kita questioned this. She wanted to learn more. She never wanted to feel as week as she used to, and the only way was to learn more and become more skillful.

Paine replied as she touched one of the spheres on her arm and transformed into a new suit and took a low stance "I don't have 4th period classes but I could see whag you can do so I can personalize your work out"

Ashura nodded. "Is that when you can combine certain magic spells to your summon?"

She wasn't one hundred percent sure of this, but it was worth asking.

Kuja watched as his students practiced their magic on the forest. Some made it far enough to bring a few roots from the ground floor. Others looked as if they where having a stress attack from concentrating to hard.

Ray concentrated then he had a tree raise him onto onto one of its branches high above the other students when he got up there he stood up and called to his teacher.

"How is this sir?"

Rinoa nodded "You've got the right idea... but junctioning is better for those who aren't magically adept... though just about anyone can use it"

"Yes ma'am. I appreciate it." Kita said bowing once more. "I will try my hardest." Kita got in her meditative state and took in a few breaths. Once fully prepared, she took her normal fighting stance and waited. She was unsure about what move to make. She had been learning about how to follow an opponent by their stance, but she never really paid a whole lot of attention. She felt unfortunate about that now.

Paine had already jumped toward Kita with her claws slashing at her as she growled.

Bell had been late to school, again. This was a pretty normal occurrence. She was running through the hallways, her hat nearly coming off her head multiple times. "G-Gym?!" She asked herself out loud just before finding her self bursting through the doors just in time to see a woman dressed like a weird animal attacking an unarmed girl.

Bell quickly drew her massive sword and dash between Paine and the student, Kita. The blade thrown up in a protective stance. "If anyone gonna be randomly killing people, it's me!" She smirked and attempted a skilled parry of the attack.

Kita rolled backwards. Someone else had blocked the attack. This had always irritated Kita, she didn't like being treated like she was helpless. It had always happened to her growing up. Other students at the monastery had tried to keep her safe because she was a girl. Kita ran back to the wall and grabbed the punching bag from earlier. Kita picked up the bag and concentrated her energy to her legs.

"Move out of the way!" Kita yelled as she threw the bag up and kicked as hard as she could at Ms. Paine and the newcomer.
