All my thoughts, desires, and my will is in that realm. That is why I control everything in that world." He looked at the girl with an expressionless face waiting on her reply.

rather than shoked,gemini was in awe."wow.thats cool.must be nice,knowing no one can read you.thats the problem with my power,i can read minds,but if im not carefull,those minds can read me as well.im the scource of things like deja vu and broken thoughts.thats really what i need the most help with.my other powers,though dangerous,are pretty controlled.but left unchecked,my mind is the most dangerous,to me and others." she looked down,distressed.then she sensed another mind approaching,a female.and her thoughts were clear.tired of hearing other peoples thoughts,gemin resisted the urge to retreat into the boy's mind."there is a girl coming,she was ordered to check on you" gemini said tiredly."also,i dont believe we hae exchanged names.if we did,im afraid i was too busy not listening to notice.i am gemini starr."

gemini jumped.how had the girl gotten her so quickly?! "who are you? and why are you here? state your name and business!" gemini demanded,taking a fighting position,sword drawn and ready.she was tired,but not too tired to fight someone who would hurt her,or her new mentor...unbelieveable...ive taken a liking to him! i guess im not as immune to my own emotions as i thought...

Nova looked at Ana then nodded, "Of course... When do we leave? Oh and she is not my apprentice she will be apprenticing under Slade... I'm too much of a renegade to be a teacher you should know that. And Gemini I am called Nova in case you haven't noticed." He looked at Gem and smiled then turned his gaze over to Ana waiting on a response.

gemini took the amulet,and put it down."i am already friends with the titans.they think ive gone out on important buisness.i didnt want to do something like this to them,i only wanted to learn control of my abilities..." her voice was filled with sadness.it seemed she had no choice.she only hoped raven would forgive her.from what she heard,her sister was not to quick to forgiveness."isnt there anything else i can do? my sister...ah,its not like either of you care,anyway." she said,on the verge of tears.

Nova nodded and replied, "Ok and who is your sister Gem?" Nova didn't care what he had to do for Slade as long as he got to do it his way. "As long as Slade lets me work the way I want to work then I have no problem with it. I don't like or dislike the titans so this mission is nothing to me." His face was empty of emotion as he spoke his words.

Nova caught the note the read it's contents and nodded. He looked over to Gemini and said, "I'm ready to leave when you are."

gemini waited."raven.raven is my sister.she has already been betrayed...how could i hide this from her? she can read minds as clearly as i can!" she was distressed.how on earth would they ever forgive her for this?

"I will protect your mind from being read." Nova placed his arm on the girl's shoulder and smiled then said, "It will be fine okay?"

she looked up at him,seeing only truth."okay...only because i trust you,for whatever reason." she still wasnt sure why she trusted him.mabey it was because he acted like the older brother she always wanted? oh well.she would just have to get used to trusting people again,since it seemed she had no choice.her heart had chosen for her. stupid emotions.why make me trust when i never have before?

The young man smiled at the comment and said, "Thank you. Now the only matter left is when do we depart?" He looked over towards Ana again hoping that she would give him his answer.

gemini looked around."i think the sooner the better.but...maabey we could get something to eat first?" she asked sheepishly,as her stomach growled,much louder than she would have liked.

"Sounds good. Lets go." He turns and walks down the hallways towards the exit.

she followed him closely,not knowing her way around.what did they eat around here? and what could she tell the titans,especially her sister? she couldnt lie to her...not any more than she could let these people hurt the titans."i-ill have to defend them,you know.i cant help hurt them,and if i did nothing,it would be as bad as fighting them myself.i know you hold no ill will towards them,so you shouldnt mind,but im sure slad wont like this much.why are you in his company anyway? do you enjoy destroying lives?" she kept the hurt and confusion out of her voice.it was simply a question,and a darn good one.why help slade if he could do so much better? his powers could be used to save lives,not harm them,so why did he chose this?

"Then if it comes down to a fight I want you to hide, I can handle myself just fine. And it's not that I want to hurt people I am... indifferent to the thought. It doesn't matter to me as long as I get to accomplish my goals one way or another. I don't intentionally go out into the city wanting to kill people but if my hand is forced I will not hesitate to do so. Lives are a precious commodity but sometimes sacrifices must be made and that holds true throughout history. Rarely does change come without a bit of bloodshed in the process." Nova smiled at the girl and patted her on the head reassuringly, "Don't worry I won't kill anyone without good cause I promise you. I don't waste lives recklessly."
