Near had patted Mint on the back as he was hugged, He'd grown used to her huges but never felt it necessary to hug back. hearing that Mint wanted to be carried by Mikami he almost looked shocked, but soon figured it a good idea.
He was pondering over a few thoughts in his mind when he was lightly tugged by Mikami. "oh yes, okay i'll accompany you if you wish it." he replied. Keeping his head down he followed closely behind the two and smiled as Mint said she'd sleep. after a while they had reached the dr's and Mikami had done all the talking, they soon returned to Light's side. Near sat watching the scene, a frown on his face, he didn't object to the idea of Mikiami helping in fact he welcomed it. "Good luck Mikami and thank you." |

Mint continued to lay there. She hadn't moved since she had placed her head down. Lawliet moves over and motions for Near to come up there."here you lay beside her and comfort her so if she wakes up." |
Mikami went to his office. There he turned on his computer and began to search. He found a suitable match among the criminals there and wrote down her name. Emily Roberts, commits suicide shortly after donating her heart to Ryuzaki Mint and signing all paperwork. He laughed. "Sakujo!" |
Mint stirred a bit and turned and cuddled into Near who was undoughtly the one laying beside her by now. Since lawliet had asked him to. She was breathing a bit hard. As if it was hard to breath. She was fighting to wake up. It wasn't working tho.
Lawliet looked at her worried like."damnit..shes fighting again...they may not beable to fix it this time." He sighs and sits on his bed and stairs off into space. |
Near nodded and didn't object as he moved towards the bed with the small frame laying on it. "she still looks so fragile." Near exclaimed as he sat himself down next to her.
reaching across he moved a strand of hair off her face and seemed to smile down at her. She'd reach to cuddle him and he'd falling back onto the bed with her around him. "sleep Mint, rest you need it after all, i wont leave your side i promise." he commented hoping she'd sleep some more. He lay rather stiff with her arms wrapped around him and waited for her to drift again. |
Mikami walked down to talk to L. "You want your sister to live...yes?" He sat next to him. "I'd advise you to take her to Tasuki hospital right now." |
Lawliet blinks and looks at Mikami. He nods a bit and stands up taking mint into his arms."Light lets go." He said yanking Light with him."Near can come as well if he wants. Just be fast."
Mint groaned at the sudden movement it hurt her. Her body was already in pain..why did they have to move her."N.." she was trying to say something but lost consciousness once again before being able to finish it. |
Near did well to keep up with them. "so i'm guessing this means you have her a heart?" Near asked Mikami as he moved along with the others.
He'd heard her call his name and moved closer to her, but didn't say a thing as he watched her fall consciouses. "she'll be better after this, that's all that matters i guess." he told himslef. |
At the hospital Mikami went to the front desk. "I received a note today telling me that my dear friend Mint has received...a very gracious gesture from a convicted murderess who...felt the error of her ways. She's here for her operation, if everything is ready." |
Lawliet held Mint in his arms as he watched everything around him. He wondered how it was she had gotten a heart so fast...Tho at the moment it didn't matter.
Mint winced even while unconscious Her breaths coming more in pants now. Her heart was starting to slow down and it hurt her. Tho when she passed if she did pass she wouldn't know it since she was asleep. |
Mikami carried her into the operating room, coming out to wait with L and the rest. "She'll live. For sure." |
Lawliet waited in the waiting room and paced back and forth..this was his little sister after all..she was very important to him.
Mint laid in the operating room on drugs as they did what they had to to fix her.and put a new heart in. Hours later she was laying in a bed in a room to recover. |
Near placed a hand on L's shoulder, of course Near had to reach high to do it. "L dont stress your self, she'll be fine, she'd a strong willed girl after all." Near did his best to comfort L.

Lawliet sighs and sits down in a chair in his usual postion and picks up a magazine with his finger tips to read it.
Mint stirred after about hours in the recovery room."M..Mikami? Near?" she called out for both of them..She opened her eyes. She looks around and tried to move but it hurt..so bad she felt like she had been stabbed in the chest..She looks down and seen the stitches.."w..what in the world." she said blinking. |
Near looked up to L "did you hear something?" he asked, he could have sworn he'd heard something. "do you think it's over, can we see her now?" he asked.
Near never really piled question after question, but he was nervous himself and therefore not really himself. |
Mikami knocked softly on the door. He came in carrying a blue stuffed dog and some candy. "Hello, Minty-chan. Are you feeling any better?" |
Mint looked at Mikami and smiles."i do but i feel like my chest was stabbed..." she points to the stitches."what is that about?" she asked she had pulled her gown down to look at the stitches over her heart.
(xDDDDDDDDDDD couldnt help it) Lawliet was following Mikami and walks in and blinks at her. |
"mint, be careful what your showing there!." Near remarks as he moves towards the other side of the bed. "dont go flashing someone you just meet, you are a girl after all."

Mint blinks and blushes.."b..but i wasnt i was just looking at the stiches!" she sticks her tongue out at Near."You know you like to look at me naked anyway." she then turns away from him and pulls her gown back over her."Mikami-san what do you have?" she asked pointing at the blue animal in his arms and the candy.
Lawliet walks over and looks down at his sister and smiles and hugs her softly."I'm so glad you will be ok." He then moves back so Mikami and Near could get right next to her. |
Near turns his head away. "i do not! we used to take baths together as kids that was all." he corrected her. a light blush on his cheeks.

Mint glares at Near. Her Ryuzaki side starting to show. she sits up and arches an eye brow."I think we still are kids Near really were only eight...not only that why are you blushing. So there is about a 45% chance you do like to see me naked? hmm interesting. to bad that i am marrying Mikami" She said her Ryuzaki blood was showing and her more mature side for once as well. She didnt talk like an 8 year old at that time.

Mikami held it out to her and sat next to her bed, holding one of her hands. "You just had an operation. The doctors say you'll be getting well now." |
Mint smiles and hugs Mikami to her "Mikami thank you so much" She giggles and holds the blue doggy to her."what happen to my bunny tho?" she asked frowning. She never let it go anywhere. now she had a bunny and a doggy. She looks at the candy and smiles."I believe my brother would like this more.." she blushes."im not as into sweets as he is." She looks at Mikami."can me and you talk alone?" she asked looking at him seriously.
