"What makes you think I want to help?" He muttered irritably, inspecting the glass in his hand. He stared for a long moment in silence. Dante breathed before rubbing his tired face. "If anything I could lie to you. How reliable do you think an evil spirit eater could be?" |
Conri chuckled and took a big gulp of the whiskey, taking it down to less then half. "Well that's the problem. You soul eaters are the only ones that would even know. I highly doubt any soul reaper or human would know him. You see... he can't get out of Hueco Mundo for one. Also, he is picky about who he shows himself to." He downed the rest of the whiskey and started to feel the buzz, Finally he thought to himself.
"So, will you at less tell me a lie to me and send me on a wild goose chase or just let me suffer hopelessly. The choice of torture is for you. But if you help me then it wouldn't go unrewarded. Maybe a permanent gigai? One that could hide you forever." He told him. He wasn't too hopeful about the arrancar's answer but it wasn't as though he had a choice. If he said no, he could just beat the crap out of him until he quelled but he was on the verge of intoxication so that would have to wait another time. |
"What a crappy reparation." Dante muttered. "Gigai? I can get one of those anywhere." He huffed and took the whole bottle of Gin. The bartender scoffed, obviously having known Dante far too well. "So you wanna know about a hollow? Fuck, I haven't been to Hueco Mundo in a century, and you're expecting me to know?" He brought the bottle to his lips, falling silent for a moment before looking to the man curiously. "You don't even know who the Hell I am. You're really out of the loop, aren't'cha?" Oh well. That meant that Seretei wouldn't remember him, perhaps? Perhaps he'd just be 'another hollow' on their blip screen from now on. That'd be nice. He downed a good bit of the Gin down before pulling back for the bottle and sighing. Some men nearby watched Dante, utterly baffled. Gin was always bitter and hard. He had probably drunken seven shots worth just by that, and he still had a whole bottle to go. |
Conri let out a sigh. He knew his time was short and he had to be going so just so he could get a response. "His name is Nagendra, Nagendra Ajit. He is a Vasto Lorde that... well lets just say he isn't satisfied eating hollows and scaring other hollows. I know he's planing something but just what I don't know. But whatever it is, he needs to die before any of it could happen." He downed another mug of whiskey. His head started to spin but he still asked for another one. "But anyway, if you find out anything about him tell me."

Dante rose an eyebrow to the man before rolling his eyes. that egotist? Well, Dante remembered him well. That bastard loved to spite Arrancar with his superiority complex. "Like Hell I'll help a Shinigami." Dante sai out loud before taking another sip from his bottle. His body felt warm; a nice, comforting warmth. He always loved this stuff. His eyes drooped a bit and glazed over as he breathed the fumes deep. He slowly expelled air before spinning his seat around and leaning his back against the counter. "As long as he doesn't bother me, I'm happy." He paused for a moment before looking to the Shinigami. "The same goes for your damned kind. Leave me alone already. I don't eat the living." That won Dante a few paranoid looks from the room. Ahhh~ He loved this place. |
Another glass of whiskey was placed in front of Conri. "Well I should just kick your ass," he said and a angry tone. He grabbed that mug and downed it all in one shot. A smile spread across his face. "But I have someplace else to be right now. So I'll see you around." He stood up and sorta stumbled out of the bar.
He didn't have a drink in a while... they said he caused too much trouble when drunk so they forbid him for drinking. So now he is drunk again... but nothing bad happened yet so what could have been the problem? As he made his way towards to school all he could remember was the honking of horns and a loud crash... but he made it alright. |
Dante rolled his eyes at that. Kick his ass? For what? Not wanting to be bothered? That was a fucking Shinigami for you. No matter if they're willing to get drunk with a Hollow, they were all the same. He downed more of his Gin, letting the alcoholic contents overcome his senses. He practically drowned himself in the substance before turning back towards the counter and leaning his arms on it. The bartender waltzed over to him with her curvy bodice, red wavy hair, glasses and all, crossing her arms opposite of him and smiling slyly towards the Arrancar. "Your gigai is pretty old. Gimme what you've got left in your pocket and I'll fix you up with a new one." Dante scowled at the woman before looking away. "Tch... I dun need a new one..." "That Shinigami found you pretty quickly, huh? It's a surprise he felt so comfortable around you." He teased before holding her hand out. Dante stared her down again before pulled the roll of bills out, earning a few awestruck looks from some drunkards, and placing it in the woman's outstretched hand. "It'd better fucking work." The woman stood back up tall, pocketing the bills with a grin. "You won't be disappointed." He cooed before setting up another drink for him and placing it on a coaster. He looked down at the fruity drink before picking it up and looking at the message left. 'Come through the back.' it said. He rolled his eyes before looking up, only to see the woman gone and another bartender having taken her place. |
Ashling continued to hum a moment when she felt a familiar feeling of something approaching. Slowly she opened her pale blue eyes, looking to the familiar green haired warrior. She smiled to herself, nodding in satisfaction. He really did come back… a pleasant development. She did not get the impression that interacting with a normal human…well… even a weird human like her, was regular behavior for them.
As he grew closer, however, she noticed that he was swaying slightly. “How odd…” She thought absently. She tilted her head to the side, clearly not recognizing the drunken walk as her family was highly anti alcohol…. She stood, however, and waved subtly. She held her bag close, watching him. |
Ryu had caught up to Ash, slightly out of breath. He had to 'talk' to the teacher after class about why he and Ash were tardy. Well... it was an interesting excuse, but he used the nurse to his benefit. The nurse always helped Ryu out. He sighed and looked up, only to see... a drunk man. Wait... that was the man from earlier? He was in different clothes... Ryu blinked before looking to Ash, noticing that she was confused, or, perhaps, perplexed by the other. Ryu scribbled something on his notepad before holding it for her to see. 'Drunk' was all he had to 'say'. The blush and swaying were two very obvious signs. He'd seen his mother like this far too often already not to be able to point it out. |
"Hey, I'm here.... I can't remember why... oh, yeah, training! So, you want to get started?" Conri said. His speech was surprisingly clear to say he was drunk but forming full thoughts wasn't one of his drunken capabilities. He looked at Ryu and said, "Oh, I remember you. You were about to see me too. You want to train with us?"
He was lucky he was in a gigai because he saw a portal to the soul society open over the bridge not to far from there. "Is there anyone in the school now because i think we should go inside... fast." |
Drunk?” Ash repeated aloud as she read it, tilting her head to the side in thought. She had no experience with it so was rather confused. She knew it was something her family frowned on but little else. She thought not much of it, however, as the shinigami drew closer… he seemed fine… till he spoke.
“Erm… the gym might be empty by now….” Ash responded, taking both men’s hands and leading them through the door. Once inside she’d let go, watching Conri with a look of comical confusion. “I really would like to try I suppose… so you think you can train me to not be so helpless and do something against the hollows?” she asked it with curiosity, uncertain. |
"Ei-h-?" Ryu squeaked as he was pulled along by Ash, his eyes falling back to a group of jocks that were watching him. He frowned before looking to Conri. So he'd be trained...? He wasn't up to it. He didn't need to train. Plus, what would the Shinigami make them do? Hit him? Punches didn't seem as if they'd be effective against Hollows... at all. He stumbled a bit when Ash released him, looking over in the gym's direction warily as he rubbed his wrist. Would this really be wise...? |
As Ash pulled Conri, he could feel himself nodding off. Sleep would help but he had something to do so he didn't allow himself to fall to sleep. But, being tired and wasted... couldn't be good for his judgment. When they reach the gym he said, "This is perfect. No one's around and it has a lot of room. Lets start here... but whats first?"
He saw a small radio in the corner and ran over to it. "Yay, who feels like karaoke?" He took out a mp3 from his pocket ((yeah I know, a shinigami with a mp3, only Conri right?)) and plugged it into the radio. The first song that came on with 'animal' by Nickel back. Conri started singing it like he was on stage and he almost tripped over his own feet multiple times as he swayed back and forward. |
Ash nodded, glancing at Ryu’s nervousness. She walked to him, touching his shoulder lightly with her fingertips to get his attention. She whispered softly “You don’t have to stay… I’d understand if you didn’t want to. I know this is dangerous and stupid… but I have to know…if there’s a way. “
She then turned to Conri, raising an eyebrow. She watched him a moment, tilting her head to the side before walking closer to him and putting her hands on his shoulder to try and steady him. “Conri? Are you okay?” She mumbled after a moment. |
Ryu blinked, looking to Ash mystified. He didn't have to? Well, of course he didn't have to, but... that didn't make him feel better. Leaving Ash alone with a drunk stranger in an empty gym didn't sit well with him. Why were they rushed inside, anyways? He was really suspicious of this man as he crossed his arms and looked to the scene with a huff. Karaoke...? He couldn't. It wasn't just that, but that man's singing... this wasn't training at all. Why was Ash so interested in this man? |
Conri gain some rationality as Ash tried to steady him. "I need to get out of this drunken gigai." he said just before remembering the shinigami coming for him. "But I can't, not right now." He looked at Ash and told her, "I'm sorry but I am not fit..." he started to drift back off and when he shook off his weariness he returned to his drunken irrationality. "What was I saying? O, weren't we going to train? Yeah, lets get you in some tights. We can't train without tights." He said thoughtlessly.

Ryu was worried, Ash could see it. She glanced towards the crossed arm and gave him a sad smile. She wanted to reassure him there was a reason for all of this, to explain that this man held knowledge…. Knowledge that she needed. She needed to understand her friends death, needed to know if there was a way to fight…that she didn’t have to watch helplessly as evil was drawn to her again.
She then looked towards Conri as he spoke, raising an eyebrow. She watched him a moment and then answered perplexed “Tights…? You’re not making any sense…” Ash frowned, that comical look of confusion taking over her features. She didn’t realize how a tights could show a young girls legs… |
Ryu clapped a hand over his mouth as he pursed his lips, desperately holding back a laugh. Tights!? Well, he wouldn't mind seeing Ash in tights, but it wasn't needed at all, now was it? Well, maybe. But what kind of training were they doing? Did this man even have a clue as to what he was doing? Or saying for that matter? He took a seat on one of the bleachers as he watched the two, placing his backpack behind him and his notepad and pen to the side. He'd watch for now, but he had to get home soon. He had chores to do, and homework. |
Conri stripped down to his underwear and said, "Ok, once you get changed we could do some stretching." He wore nothing but boxers now and was shameless about it. Then he tried to bend over and touch his toes but ended up falling over and burst out into laughter. His laughter started to become quiet though as his eyes began to close and he started to fall to sleep. You would have known he was a kid if he was in a child size gigai.

Ryu went rigged as the man undressed himself. Really! In front of people!? He looked away quickly, his face going red at the sight. He grabbed his notepad and pen and stuffed them into his bag before quickly rushing out of the gym and out of the school. Those jocks were gone... good. He'd have safe travels for today, at least... He didn't take notice to anyone calling out to him or anything of the such, racing straight through the school gate and towards home. |
Ash glanced towards him, looking at him a moment. “change?” She wasn’t sure what he meant though she did have her gym cloths technically… but something seemed off. Then she realized he was stripping to his underwear and instantly she was red. She jumped back, saying rapidly “whatthehellareyoudoing?” She then watched as he fell, tilting her head to the side. He was …ridiculous.
She tilted her head to the side, watching as Ryu ran. She felt herself panic, not sure what to do. Finally with a sigh she knelt next to him, poking him with one finger. “Err…. I think we should get you somewhere safe to rest…..” She muttered, hoping she could wake him up enough as carrying him….not going to happen. |
Conri started to sit back up. "I am sooo tired... but I need to teach you... I need to..." and he collapsed. But he found the strength to get off the ground and too his cloths. "I can't help you tonight but tomorrow, when I'm rested... and sober I can do it. That's if I don't get caught by then." He started to put his cloths back on. The alcohol started to wear off but was being replaced by I killer headache. He as he was putting his pants on he tripped and stumbled all over the place until he finally got it on. Now was his shirt. "Where is my shirt?" he asked, confused as can be.

He had made it all the way to the river. He was almost home. He just had to cross this bridge up ahead and head down a few blocks. He smiled comfortingly when suddenly he felt a shove from behind. "Ah!" Ryu fell forward, stumbling a bit when suddenly something clipped his shoulder. He tumbled down the tall hill, just barely stopping himself before he fell into the river. His head spun as he slowly picked himself from the ground. His eyes rose up to see white- white fur. He blinked, staring at the snowy white furred wolf in the distance, at war cries of the jocks hardly hitting him until his backpack had been stomped on and the wind taken right out from his lungs. "Ryu! What's-a-matta? We know you can talk!" One of them mocked before grabbing the boy by the hair and forcing him to his feet. "Go ahead and squeal to mommy." The jock grinned wide before pushing Ryu forward, and kicking him hard in the back end, forcing Ryu to stumble forward and under the shade of the Karakura bridge. He fell to his knees, gasping for breath as tears filled his eyes. Of course this would happen. The sempai would always try to eliminate the boys who stuck out the most. Ryu just happened to be one of them. |
Needing to hurry and find Captain Conri, Xion was passing by the Karakura bridge when he noticed Ryu getting beat around. The lieutenent went over to the bridge and snatched the boy up and flash stepped to an alleyway so that nobody would notice them talking. He stood there looking down on the boy with tears in his eyes and said, "You were with Conri earlier right? Tell me where he is." His voice had a sharp tone to though he had no intention of harming the boy he just needed information.

Ryu heaved as he was grabbed suddenly. By what, he had no clue at first. What confused him was the sudden light feeling he had; as if he were flying. He fell into a daze as the darkness surrounded him suddenly, unable to understand the sudden switch of scenery. He glanced around as he gripped his chest with a shaken hand before looking straight to the man that was talking to him. What...? He snapped out of his daze suddenly and squirmed uncomfortably, pressing his back against the wall. What a terrible feeling. Something was missing. His backpack. He closed his eyes tight, catching his breath finally before looking meekly at the man. Conri...? He couldn't remember who that was. He wiped the tears from the corers of his eyes before holding his throat and shaking his head. He was a mute. Er... self proclaimed mute. He hadn't used his voice in a year now, and he still refused to. Without his backpack, he was silenced. He'd lost his notepad and pens along with all of his notes and books... everything! Panic swam through him at the thought. Those were the school's books! He didn't have to money to pay for them! |
