"Um...but...what if she's still talking to Envy??" Gluttony asked, somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of going alone. Then, after a rare epiphany, she lit up. Beaming happily she answered, "I know!! I'll play spy and make sure she's done talking!! Yeah!!"
She began to leave when she turned back and looked at Yuin with a stern gaze. "I'll be back in a little bit, okay? So you stay here. Don't leave until I get back." Then, giggling to herself, she crept off towards Greed's office. Once she got close enough, she slouched down to crawl on all fours. Pressing her ear to the door, she tried to hear whether or not Greed was still speaking on the phone with Envy. |
Yuin laughed a bit. "Oh ok I will stay here dont worry." He smiled and then went back to biting his nails. I wonder if she will be ok by herself. Yeah she will be fine..... hopefully. he thought. He shrugged.

"Oh, dear, I hope nobody is listening to me talk to myself," she said loudly and exaggeratedly. --- Central City It wasn't difficult for Ross to track down the colonel and Fuery. She entered the bar, which was little more than a hole in the wall, thinking that the atmosphere was rather unsavory. Bloch followed, glancing about nervously. Finally sighting the two other officers, they hurried toward them. "There you are, sir," Ross said to Hienrich, figuring that Fuery had been dragged along quite unwillingly if his expression was any indication. She gave him a sharp salute, which, after a few seconds' hesitation, Bloch copied. "You should have told us you were leaving," she added somewhat accusingly. |

--- Central City Fuery was relieved to spot both Maria Ross and Denny Bloch entering the dingy bar. He was beginning to worry that they would not show, that he would be left alone with the spontaneous colonel. Sighing in relief, he stood as the captain and Bloch reached the table, inquiring, "That's amazing! You did you find us?" |

"Well, now that we're all here, let's get down to business," Ross said, her seriousness contrasting greatly against her subordinate's usual lax attitude. "Perhaps you should brief them on the mission, Colonel Hienrich, sir. You probably know more about it than I do." |

"Did you say candy?!" Gluttony exclaimed, bursting through the door. "You don't have to go alone!! I want candy!! I want candy!!" |

Gluttony froze, her expression void of all thought and emotion. Without any word, she grabbed the door, pulled it closed and murmured from the other side of the door, "Uh...no I'm not. Gluttony's not here...nope."

Slowly, Gluttony cracked open the door. Peeking in timidly, she replied, "Do I have to? Wrath's kinda...um...mad, I think. I think she should stay downstairs..."
She looked up at Greed hopefully and added, "Besides, Yuin was going to go get chocolate. I want some chocolate, Greed. Can I have some??" |

With that, she headed off down the hall, running past Yuin as she headed for the basement stairs. "GreedsaysIgottagetWrath--berightback!!" Gluttony called, not even bothering to stop between words. She raced down the stairs and to the large door looming in the basement. Inhaling deeply, she reached forward, opened the door and exclaimed, "WRATH!! Greed wants to talk to you--NOW!!!" With that, she turned quickly on her heels and bolted up the stairs, trying her hardest to escape the punishment she knew was coming for interrupting Wrath's playtime. She almost sped past Yuin for a second time but stopped, grabbing him by the hand. Giving it a surprisingly strong tug, she pulled him off of the stairs and into place running behind her. Once they were at Greed's office, she released his hand and ran over to Greed, hiding behind her timidly. "I did it, Greed. She's coming," Gluttony replied, almost in a stammer. |

Greed made no response to Gluttony, instead giving the chimera boy an amused look as she said, "You might want to hide, little one. Wrath's not choosy about who she takes her anger out on." |

Meanwhile
Wrath tossed an unconscious alchemist to the floor, kicking another over on her way out of the room. Swearing under her breath, she slammed the large door closed, gave it one strong kick, and headed up the stairs. What the hell does she want now? she thought angrily, hissing under her breath. Walking down the hall, she made her way towards the office. Stepping into the doorway, she swung her arm to the side, connecting her fist with the feeble doorframe. "This better be good, or so help me..." she growled, glaring daggers at Greed. Her gaze then shifted to both the chimera boy and Gluttony cowering behind the desk. "You better hide..." |
Quote:
"This needs to be handled carefully," Greed added, her expression sobering. "If the two of you fail... well, you'd better hope that you don't. See, you won't be answering to me, you'll be answering to our Master, and we all know how much fun that will be." She grinned maliciously. "So let's take care of this quietly, okay?" Although I doubt that's going to happen... |

She pointed an accusing finger at Gluttony, who jumped and hid further behind Greed, sticking out her tongue in defiance. --- Mustang prepared to leave his office, grabbing his sleek black coat and any other belongings before heading out the door. He stopped before grabbing the doorknob, placing his things just outside the office and quickly stepping back over to his desk. Pulling out a single sheet of blank paper and taking a pen in his right hand, he scribbled something on it and reached for the tape. Walking back over to the door, he attached the note to the outside of the door. Smiling at his handywork, he securly shut the door and turned to pick up his things. Accomplished, he set out towards his residence where he would hastily pack and most likely step out for a drink before turning in for the night. Hanging on the general's door read the words "Do NOT enter!" and in smaller words "That means you Lt. Havoc." |
Sable looked up at Pride and shrugged. "Basically keep out of the way, not get eaten by Gluttony, which y'know she really isn't as bad as the Chimeras think she is. i like her even if she can be a little scary sometimes. And keep the area looking nice. sometimes i would play games with the other Chimeras, but i liked listening to the records that we had, at least until Wrath decided she couldn't take the noise anymore and smashed some of them." she said with a frown.

((So, seeing as how I'm also Sheska, I'm just going to type all this out from Riza's POV ^.^))
Riza easily caught a taxi and within about ten minutes was pulling up outside of Sheska's apartment. She thanked the taxi driver and paid him before hurrying up the stairs and ringing the buzzer. She waited patiently as she listened to the muffled sounds of things being moved around -- stacks of books, no doubt -- and Sheska's cry of 'Sorry, just a minute!'. Soon enough the door opened to reveal a flushed Sheska, who had obviously just made a path to the door through the books scattered about. "Major Hawkeye!" she said, eyes widening in surprise. "It's so good to see you, please come in!" She shuffled back, stepping carefully around teetering piles of books, cringing as a stack towards the back of the hallway toppled over, taking two other stacks with it before the domino effect stilled. Hawkeye stepped inside, eyeing the ground carefully so as to avoid stepping on any of Sheska's books. "Sorry I didn't call before I came over," Riza apologized. "I have a favor to ask of you, and your place is on my way home, so..." "No, no! It's no problem at all!" Sheska said, waving away the Major's concerns. "What can I help you with?" "Well, something came up suddenly today, and I've got to go out of town on business. I was wondering if you would mind watching Black Hayate for me? I'm not sure how long I'll be gone; probably at least a week. I would reimburse you for your troubles, of course." "Nonsense, you won't do any such thing!" Sheska said, shaking her head. "I'd love to take care of him, but you won't pay me a dime. I enjoy having him over, he's so sweet and well-behaved!" Riza smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Sheska! He likes you, I know he enjoys staying here. I do have one other question, though..." she hesitated, pausing to word the question delicately. "Have you heard of any odd rumors coming from West City? Anything in the tabloids or odd military reports you may have seen?" Sheska pondered the question for a moment before answering. "West City Command is a fairly odd lot to begin with. They always try to keep everything very quiet, never let their reports circulate too much. The only odd thing I can think of recently was a tabloid report about a warehouse on the outskirts of the city that was seen giving off a strange glow, possibly alchemical in origin, like some sort of huge transmutation going on inside. That's what the tabloid claimed, anyway. They could never reach the military or state alchemists for comment, and when they sent a reporter to investigate it seemed empty." She shrugged. "Could have just been some kids messing around." Riza nodded. "Thank you, Sheska, that may be a good starting place. I'll just bring Black Hayate by on my way to the train station in the morning, if that's alright?" Sheska agreed easily, and soon Riza was hailing another cab to take her home, where she efficiently packed a small bag for her, and another to send with the dog to Sheska's. She pondered cooking, but decided against it, ordering in Xingian instead. She ate quickly, enjoyed a glass of wine with a book before bed, and went to sleep early so she could rise early and be ready to go on time. |

Fuery glanced over the information in the files and then looked at the colonel. Hesitantly, he nodded his head and replied, "I see...so...um, what would my part be in this, if you don't mind me asking?" |
Yuin was being yelled at. Then in the next three seconds he was being pulled into the office. Then being hidden. He was so exhausted that he could not believe it. Yuin watched Wrath walk in and then start to complain. He was about to say, 'Oh just shut up.' But he caught himself. He knew that Wrath could kill him in a minute.

"Someone has been imitating Edward Elric," she told him, her brow knit slightly in distaste. "We're trying to track him down." "Wha-? How could someone do something like that?" Denny said loudly, looking absolutely appalled at the idea. He opened his mouth to speak again when he caught Ross' stern gaze. Turning toward the colonel, she asked, "Do you have any idea of where the false Fullmetal was last sighted, sir?" Quote:

Gluttony jumped, her eyes glimmering with tears as she replied, "A week? B-but, Greed, I'll starve!!" She then pouted, glaring somewhat at Wrath before adding, "What if it's not my fault? What if Wrath messes up??" --- Quote:
"Oh! O-of course! That sounds easy enough," Fuery replied, relieved to hear that he would not be dragged along but rather would be allowed to remain in Central. "I'll make sure to inform you on anything I find!" |
Yuin started to lay back against the wall. He did not know what to do. So he decided that this had nothing to do with him and tried to walk out the door.
