Groaning he tugged his braid and stood up slowly, "Outside of the Furhers office, General Mustang, and a few... ahem... others, no one knows of this operation. I want to keep it that way. Quickly and quietly. Is that understood?" |

Bloch, who figured that the meeting was over, stood slightly behind Ross. He, too, gave the colonel a salute although it was half-hearted. He still couldn't believe someone would be terrible enough to try imitating the Fullmetal Alchemist, and he couldn't help but wonder how Ross could handle this mission so impersonally. He knew that she had cared very much for the Elric brothers. ((OKAY PEEPS- We're going to do a time jump soooo... IT IS NOW THE NEXT DAY! I figure that it would be about noon... If you have to wrap up a conversation, though, that's okay... but make sure to end it quickly.)) --- "Could you make sure to get this to Lt. Col. Armstrong?" Havoc stood before Maria Ross, a folder clutched in one hand. His hair was more unkempt than usual, and there were shadows under his eyes, but he looked fairly happy. Ross glanced up at him, opening her mouth to speak, pausing, a slight look of concern crossing her face. "What's wrong with you?" she said, "You look like you haven't had any sleep." The lieutenant grinned. "Well, that may be because I haven't. See, I talked all night long with the sweetest-" "I'll take these to the Lt. Col. right away," Ross interrupted, giving him an exasperated look as she took the folder and started away. Glancing down at it, she noticed the folder was from the R&D department. --- Drachma The camp in which the Drachmanian militants currently resided could hardly be called a camp. It was situated outside of a small town. There were several tents erected in various places, all made of the same thin, white cloth. The larger ones were near the center of the 'camp', while smaller ones stood elsewhere. A few old, worn-out trucks, not unlike the one Pride had driven, were parked nearby. Due to his gift and his attention to detail, Pride knew that there were precisely 287 soldiers here. He had made the decision not to return to the camp the night before, instead staying a little ways away until the sun had risen. Tension hung thickly upon the air; he knew he would have to tread carefully around these people. It had taken some time to gain their trust, and more so to even give them the inkling of the idea that they could attack an Amestrian city. He hoped that the little chimera, Sable, would be the key to convincing them that it should be done. He pulled the truck up to the camp. Several soldiers carrying guns glanced up at it, but they hardly looked interested once they recognized the vehicle. Pride cut the engine, removing the keys and climbing out of the cab. "Come along," he said to Sable and Sloth, before turning his sight to the largest of the tents. |
Yuin walked out into the hallway and to the kitchen. The only one that would probably notice his absence would be Gluttony. He looked for food, but of course could not find any. So Yuin went to the basement to say hi to the alchemists.
(( Who are the alchemists?)) |
Central Train Station
Mustang leaned back on the bench, yawning loudly as he scratched his head. He never was one for early rising, and his quality of sleep was lacking as usual. Wiping the sleep from his eyes, Roy scanned the train station, which was somewhat barren in the morning. Sighing, he situated himself comfortably on the bench, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning his head to the side slightly. Forty winks wouldn't hurt, and it would help pass the time until Hawkeye arrived. |
He groaned as he picked up the phone and heard his 'friends' voice on the other line, "What do you want? I am doing something important right now." He picked up a piece of paper and began to fold it into a glider.
"Your a bit of bastard Colonel." "Yes I am. So what?" "I want your Itinerary Colonel." "Don't have one yet. Kinda gonna wing it." He grinned and glanced out his window and waved, "Sooo.. i will call you when I know what I got going on." "Right. Don't jerk me around. I want your details as soon as possible." |
Riza rose early and dropped Black Hayate off at Sheska's. As she was entering the train station, a dark-haired man asleep on a bench caught her eye. Her mouth twitched into a frown at the sight of Mustang having fallen asleep right out here in the open.
"A shining example of the Military," she said dryly once she reached him. |

Hearing Riza's voice, Roy cracked an eye and replied with a hint of a smirk, "Good morning to you, too, Riza. I was just resting my eyes." He looked past her at the clock and sighed. Figures. I got here too damn early, he thought with dismay, seeing that there was still a bit of time before the train arrived. He just wanted to go and get this assignment over with. It sounded like a lot of work. |
"Right... Sir... the train you asked for? It's leaving soon."
"Y...eah... I'm going I'm going." He stood up and picked up his bandoliers and pushed himself out the door, "Tell the others to meet me... oh wait." He grinned at them and scratched his face in embarassment, "Right... so who's ready?" |
Sloth followed, head down as he didn't want anyone to give him much attention. That would make him uncomfortable. He was still a bit sleepy being that it was morning but he thought it better not to bring that up...
Cya and Zachary were woke up early that day to take a cab back to where they were posted at first, right near where that lady had let them stay the night in her in. They were already there by now, and Cya pouted when she recognized other undercover soldiers from Drachma. "Zach-ee, does that mean we have to go back?" She complained, seeing him also eye the people. He gave a small "Don't know." to the comment, actually not knowing. Switching off wasn't part of the plan at first from what he heard, but the thing changed so often that what you knew one day wasn't what was going to happen the other. |
"Do you truly believe it wise to send Wrath and Gluttony?"
Greed stood in the center of an intricately decorated room. It was furnished with all sorts of frilly things, and ribbons were draped from the ceiling. A canopied four poster bed sat against the far back wall. A small figure sat upon it, cross-legged, it's bright eyes focused upon the homunculus. Greed considered the question for about half a second. "Sure, why not?" she replied, her trademark grin crossing her face. "I assure you, there won't be a problem. And why worry, Master? They are your creations after all. Infallible. Wouldn't you say so?" "Hardly," the voice replied after a few moments. "Homunculi are simple creatures with no sense of right and wrong. Without careful guidance, they would lose focus on their goals." Greed somehow managed to keep from laughing aloud. Hypocrite, she thought, before saying, "Fear not, brave leader. They'll be plenty focused." And with a slight bow, she turned on her heel and started out of the room. --- Central City It wasn't a long drive to the train station from headquarters. The station was busy, as usual, but it wasn't difficult to find the train leaving for West City. It seemed to have fewer passengers than those going elsewhere, and Jean Havoc couldn't help but wonder if it had anything to do with what was happening out west. He finally spotted Mustang and Hawkeye. "Hey!" he called, raising a hand in greeting. "I thought you guys might like having someone see you off." |
Yuin walked inside the basement to find that the alchemists were beaten to a pulp. So he decided to go. He went through the living room, up the stairs, and to his room. He colapsed on his bed and then sat up straight and looked all around the room.

Mustang turned to see who had called to them and jumped slightly as he took in the lieutenant's disheveled state. Wrinkling his nose, Roy replied with sharply, "Not that I'm not flattered, but what on earth? You look like a wreck. What happened, Soldier?" |
Quote:
"I didn't get much sleep last night," Havoc replied, scratching the back of his neck and yawning. He then reached down into his pocket, pulling out a carton of cigarettes. "Although I'm not complaining," he added with a slight grin. --- Quote:
She paused, recognizing the boy as the chimera whom Gluttony had been playing with the day before. "You... Yuin," she said, leaning against the doorframe. "Have you seen Gluttony?" |

Havoc seemed to deflate a little. "Don't sound so surprised, chief," he told Mustang indignantly. "So, how long do you two think you'll be gone?" |
Quote:
"If everything goes well, hopefully no more than a few days--a week, tops," Mustang replied hopefully, dreading the work. Then, with a mocking smirk, he replied, "But, still. A woman? You?" He couldn't help but take a jab at the lieutenant whenever he had the chance. After all, it was usually Lt. Havoc's who wittily opposed the general. He had to take his chance to even the score. |

"Hm. Interesting," Mustang replied, his brow narrowing a bit at the lieutenant's sarcasm. Then, smirking a bit devilishly, he added, "A woman who can keep you up all night, huh? That's hard to find. Congratulations, Lieutenant. You should introduce us sometime."
|
"You boys can do all the introducing you like -- after our mission," Hawkeye said pleasantly, all the while lovingly caressing the gun in its holster. She produced a thermos from her bag and gave the top a twist, letting her eyes close for a brief moment, savoring the smell of the coffee before taking a sip.
|
"Of course," Roy replied, secretly eyeing the thermos of coffee. He sighed, wishing he had been so prepared as to have brought his own. After another restless night, he could use a good pick-me-up. "Work comes first, as always. Keep that in mind, Lieutenant. Don't let this woman affect your work."

Cya sat on the front steps of the Inn, as she had done before recently. She watched Zachary talk to the other solders with her large hazel eyes, crossing her fingers for the answer she wanted. When he came back, she got up, her face ready and pleading.
"Come." Zachary said, motioning for Cya to follow. She was probably upset that they had to return, but it's not like he could help that. Orders were orders, they switched off at random around the border. They would have to walk half the way, then return to an area in the outskirts where they would be driven the rest with other members. Cya stayed close, but keeping her gaze off the headed direction and keeping a pout on her face. |
Yuin stopped and turned. "Um I did not see her at all." He looked back up at Greed. "What is with the alchemists in the basements?" He looked up at Greed with a worried and concered way.

Sable had slept solidly through the night, even in a new place. she got up and yawned rubbing her eyes slightly before getting up and stretched out. she quickly ran her fingers through her white hair, combing out the best she could the tangles and snarls she got. Finally dressed and presentable, she walked out of her small room to get some breakfast
**** West City Sara had gotten up at the crack of dawn and was already on her fifth lap of the massive military complex. She wore a tight runner's top and her military pants. her blond hair was tied back as she continued to run at a good clip. Although she could go faster, she knew that it would bring up suspicion if she sprinted like she did back at the mansion. so she continued hoping that all would be well and ready before the Flame Alchemist came to the city later |
West City HQ
Devi yawned softly, stretching as she climbed out from the cubby in the Communications Sector. During the night, she had sat on the counter, curled up in a corner as she talked. Apparently, after her phone conversation, she had dozed off for a bit unknowingly. Slipping off the counter and patting down her uniform, Devi retrieved her things and promptly exited the Communications Sector. Although there wasn't much work for her to do, today was the day General Mustang would be arriving and she had a lot of planning to do. |
