"Right," the Fuhrer said, giving a small nod. "Well, once you've found a new jacket, would you care to join me for lunch then?" she asked, not a bit of awkwardness in her tone.

Armstrong stared blankly at the Fuhrer, surprised by her straight-forwardness, and replied warmly, "Of course! It would be my honor, sir. I would be delighted."

"Good," she said, the ghost of a smile lingering upon her lips before fading. "Were you planning on eating in the cafeteria?"

"The cafeteria,"Armstrong answered after giving the question some thought. Looking at her respectfully, he asked, "Is that okay with you, sir?"

"Zach-ee!" Cya said as she appeared out of the doorway holding a tray of food. "The old lady said to give this to you." She said, placing the tray on Zachary's lap and went back to close the door. Running over to his side, Cya sat down on the steps. They were both in front of a little shabby in, facing the crowded streets somewhere by the boarder of Amestris. This certain part of town was fair in it's wealth and over all slightly crowded being that it was the busy main street. The old lady who ran the little Inn welcomed Cya and Zachary in a few days ago, completely unaware who they were. "Hey, Zach-ee." Said Cya, looking over at him not eating his food. She wouldn't say anything else about that though, knowing that he didn't like it when she pestered him about his health. "How long are we staying here?"

"Hm." Responded Zachary, which normally meant he didn't know. In fact, he didn't know at all why they were here or how long they would be staying. That's what he didn't like about serving in the military, they never told you much. His orders: 'Be stationed in Amestris, try not to attract attention'. Well, harder then said. Being as scary as he was he got plenty of weird looks already. He sighed, and took a bite out of the food Cya had just given him. He wouldn't want her to start pestering him about his health.

Riza tapped her lips thoughtfully with the pen she had pulled out of her purse to make notes with while they discussed the case. "My personal favorite is the fettuccine, but knowing your tastes, you'd probably like the meatball sub better. Lisa makes the meatballs by hand herself, they are fantastic."

Roy chuckled softly, placing the menu back on the table.

"You know me all too well," he said, sitting back in his chair. A small sliver of a smile graced his lips, the emotion reaching his eyes. "Meatball sub it is."

Seeing a smile from Mustang -- a real, true smile, not one put on to schmooze or charm someone, was enough to draw one from Riza as well.

"All right, now here's some water for you for now, but what would you like to drink? And do you know what you're going to eat yet?"Lisa asked as she bustled into the room with some ice water.

"I'm going to have just the water, and the--"

"...chicken fettuccine," Lisa finished with her in unison. "So predictable," she tutted. "And you?" she asked, turning to Mustang.

Sara yawned slightly and rubbed her eyes before getting up. "Uhg...i need a break. and some coffee..." Stretching slightly she filed some of her finished paper work and got up, leaving to get some coffee and maybe go for a run. she forgot how staying in her office made her crazy at times.

Devi, who had begun to doze against the wall, jumped as she heard footsteps leaving the commander's office. She slowly stood from her hiding place and stepped into the hall, cautiously making her way towards the vacant office.

Pausing at the door, she looked around skittishly for any witnesses. When she noticed the coast was clear, Devi carefully reached down and opened the door, quickly slipping inside the commander's office and closing the door behind her.

She scurried over to the commander's desk and hastily picked up the phone. Timidly, she pressed her ear to it, listening to the static on the other side until someone reached the line.

Devi coughed once, clearing her throat and steadying her voice as she answered, "Yes, could you connect me to General Mustang's office? It's urgent."

With a smile and a bob of her head, Lisa was off to the kitchen to prepare their meals. Riza took the opportunity to open the file, and open her notebook to a clean page for notes.

"Now, where to start? I've heard nothing of any of this, personally. Before we start looking at the file and get ideas not ours into our heads, have you heard anything about the disappearances?"

"Sounds fine to me," she replied, her gaze drifting along the hallway. "I'll meet you outside the cafeteria door." With a small nod to her subordinate, the president started down the hall.

Havoc gave a small, involuntary jump as the phone began to ring. He leaned forward and picked it up, holding it to his ear. "General Mustang's office," he said in a bored tone.

Devi paused as someone answered, realizing almost immediately who the voice belonged to. She composed her thoughts, took a deep breath and replied, "Lt. Havoc, is that you? The General hasn't returned?"

As she waited for him to reply, her mind raced worriedly. She needed to ask him about his conversation with the West Commander.

What did she ask him? What did he say? Did he rat her out? These questions plagued her mind, causing her heart to race.

Armstrong wasted no time returning to his office, knowing better than to keep the Fuhrer waiting. He retrieved a replacement jacket, something he always kept multiples of in stock, and adorned it with ease.

Then, he headed towards the cafeteria at a fast pace, greeting the Fuhrer as he met her at the doors.

"My apologies for the wait, sir. Shall we go in," he said, opening the door with a respectful dip of his head.

It was her! "Aw, come on, you know that I'm the one you really wanted to talk to," Havoc teased, before adding in a more serious tone, "Although actually you just missed him. But hey, speaking to me is just as good as speaking to General Mustang."

"Thank you, Lt. Col.," the Fuhrer said, stepping into the cafeteria. As if it had been planned, there was a wave of blue as most of the soldiers in the room stood and saluted.

"As you were," Alyss said loudly, stepping into the line. The servers stared at her for a second, looking slightly surprised, before picking up plates.

"What would you like, sir?" one of them said, looking prepared to dash back into the kitchen and ready whatever she desired.

"I would like what you are serving," she replied, giving a nearly imperceptible shake of her head. Perhaps it would have been better just to eat out like she usually did.

Frowning, he caught the word disappearences as the solution settled, Oh good, they are getting down to business. He smiled as he picked up a vial of liquid that he poured down his mouth, the sweet taste of coffee slid down his throat. Cmon, get talking I have a meeting to tend to later.

Well, isn't he full of himself, Devi thought dryly, raising an eyebrow. But he has a point...

"Actually, you're right. I did want to talk to you, Lieutenant," she replied softly, nervously.

Armstrong watched on amusedly as the surrounding officers respectfully greeted the Fuhrer.

Everyone became so straight-laced, uptight, at her arrival. Looking at her, he hid a smile and continued to observe how the others reacted.

He followed her silently, ordering when asked and then awaiting the Fuhrer's instruction on where to sit.

"Hmm..." The Fuhrer glanced around, finally spotting an empty table and starting toward it. She sank down into the seat, ignoring the looks of her subordinates, and starting picking at the food.

"How has your family been, Lt. Col. Armstrong?" she asked once her mouth was empty.

While the faces of people passed by on the more-crowded streets, Sloth tried to avoid whatever gazes he might get. He always felt a bit out of place with people, even around people like himself. Such as Gluttony, which he was actually pretty afraid of. I wonder if we gunna be there sooner he though, looking over to Pride. Well, of course, Pride knew but Sloth was a bit afraid to ask. As the old truck rode by, Sloth perked his head back up just in time to see a small reddish haired girl stare at the truck. To which he put his head down immediately.

Cya's eyes followed an old worn down truck that loudly moved along the crowded road. The sight of this kind of vehicle made her laugh a little, which some people in the military back home always commented on how it sounded like music.

"...Who?" Devi asked, unsure as to who this 'Falman' was. "Why would I be having a---"

Then she suddenly realized something. He...didn't tell?

"Wait! You...you didn't tell?!" she gasped into the phone, relief washing over her being. Devi caught herself beaming happily as she replied, "Thank you so much! You have no idea what that means to me!" Like, my life, she added mentally.

Then, returning to her previous question, she repeated, "But...why does she think I'm having a secret relationship. I have no idea who this 'Falman' is."

"Well, judging by your tone from earlier, you weren't supposed to be on the phone, right?" he asked seriously, although he wasn't sure why he had lied on her behalf either. Maybe it was because the woman sounded cute, he wasn't sure. "It was the best thing I could think of at the moment."

"Oh. That makes sense," Devi replied slowly, thinking it over. This Lieutenant was turning out to be quite clever. She still didn't quite get it, but she definitely wasn't going to argue...much. "But a secret relationship?"

She then quickly paused as she heard footsteps in the hall, covering the phone with one hand. As the footsteps disappeared, Devi returned to the phone conversation.

"Well, whatever the reason. Thank you, Lt. Havoc. I mean it," she said gratefully. "It's hard...to find people to trust around here. I apologize if I seemed a bit doubtful."

"No problem," he said, wondering just what was happening in West City HQ that she would have to be so secretive. Before he got to that, however... "Although I think that you should tell me your name, so we'll be even."

Completely bored and getting more sleepy by the second, Sloth finally asked Pride. "Pardon me asking." He said, trying to use the best polite and apologetic tone (also using the word "pardon"), "But how long till we reach where we going?" He finished, putting his head down in fear he would be punished for talking so much. He was a bother sometimes.
