"Thats a great idea and i would gladly accept but i need my rest from the last encounter i had." Donna snickered a little bit. "They were going to sedate me and put me in a max cell like we just did with Wizard.... Guess who actually let me go... Sinestro... It was suprising when it happened but he let me go... I do need my rest and strength back so well do it afterwards ok? Or you can start and ill catch up."

"Nah, just come find me in Central City when you're ready," Barry said as he got up. He returned to the teleporter room and returned to Central City. ((s'all I can do with him right now))

Do not worry about Sinestro, child. We would not expect some one of your level to bring him in. May we see the ring?

"OH yeah the central city great. As if i could find you in that place. Its huge" Donna said as she walked away towards her room. "Ill rest and then ill find him"

It seemed to Jay that he sat there like that for a long time. In truth, he wasn't sure how long it had actually been. Turning slightly, he looked up into Kara's eyes. He had the strangest feeling that something important had changed between them. Conflicting emotions warred within him, and he felt as though he ought to say something even as he found himself dreading to be the one to break the silence. The moment seemed to hang in the air between them, timeless and waiting for something.

Alex nodded and took the ring from her hand and willed it over to the council table. The ring itself glowed green and mad itself up to the table in front of them and landed with a 'clink'. She looked up at the council wondering what they would say about her ring.

Kara looked at jay and then coughed a bit to break the silence. "So we figured out some of your powers... you may have more but if you have them they aren't manifesting themselves yet... let's figure you out a name... for your hero persona. Not every superhero gets to choose their own name. I kinda went with Supergirl being I have the same powers as Superman. Hmmm... maybe Gravity Guy?" She had her hand on her chin as if she were thinking.

Embarrassed, Jay withdrew his hand from Kara's. It seemed like the situation was a little awkward for her. Gently but firmly, he replied, "Umm...Supergirl? I think that 'Starborne' will be fine. My uniform already has a star on it, after all." He smiled slightly to show he wasn't offended. Whatever strange feeling had been hanging in the air had passed.

Zatanna had been in her room since they had gotten back., She woke up when her stomach gave a large growl. She didn't know why she had teleported to the watchtower without taking anyone with her but she did know that if she stayed tied up for one more minute she would have gone insane. She got to the cafeteria just in time to see Donna leave. 'I'll just say thank you to her later,' she thought to her self as she got food and went to seat down.

Cheetah was positivly fuming when she heard the news about the prisoners escaping. "I can't belive you let them get away, Grundy. Thats even stupid for you," she growled as she put her hand in to a fist. She needed to hit something or some one soon.
(just thought we should see what kind of caouse is going on at the Legion.)

Kara had certainly felt that strange feeling but wasn't good at dealing with it so therefore reacted as if he hadn't grabbed her hand. But she did have to admit there was something there. "Starborne eh?... well stars do have a strong gravitational pull... it fits you" she gave her usual smile. "Okay so you're a hero... at least I assume you are since you're in the tower" She looked him up and down as if she were analyzing him "Hmmm though if you ask me you dont really seem the hero type if you were to ask me I would guess you were a bad guy... but that's just the way you carry yourself" She looked him square in the eyes as if she were looking into his soul.

((You'll have a new villian in your ranks soon... I plan on bringing in Blackfire tomorrow... imagine the trouble that'll stir up with her "I'm superior to you and I'm a super slut" attitude XD))

"Don't worry. It's just because...oh, what's the expression?" He paused for a moment before continuing. "Ah yes, we 'got off on the wrong foot', right? I'm certainly not a paragon, but I wasn't a troublemaker either." He climbed back to his feet. Looking at her with a bit of concern, he asked, "Do you mind helping me practice a little longer? I'd like to try popping that ball again." He was sure he could do it with a little practice. What he wasn't sure of was if he could do it without a bit more coaching. His techniques for studying were no use with these new powers. Even if Kara didn't have the same powers as him, she still had powers of her own, so she might know some techniques he wouldn't have thought of on his own.

Kara nodded "Okay then... you say your gravity powers are muscularly based. Let's work with that. Muscle control is alot easier if you have more strength to work with. But since strength isn't a problem for you lets work on muscle control first" She remembered the first few monts of being one Earth with her Grandma Kent. There were so mant broken glasses it wasn't even funny... that was cured when she started to make an effort to control her muscles which wasn't an easy task but now she could hold a glass full of water eithout breaking it provided her hand didn't twitch of course. She went over and grabbed a barbell that had no weights on it and layed it down at Jay's feet. "Okay pick this up with out denting it"

Jay wasn't particularly muscular, and wondered what she meant by 'not denting' the thick metal bar. He reached down for it, finding that it was a bit harder to get a grip on than he expected. His fingers slipped, he fumbled to grab it, and ended up with a bent iron bar. Looking at it ruefully, he tried to straighten it out, reasoning that if he had bent it, he could unbend it. "Why was flying so much easier?" He groused with embarrassment.

The Guardians picked up the ring and inspected it.
Hmmm there is a sense of pre-existing will inside the ring.
Perhaps it is like Lantern Gardener's ring?
His ring only spills out because of his enormous will, that would not explain the ring dragging the girl around!
Indeed could it be Paralax perhaps?
Paralax would be more inclined to possess the girl besides he is safely split into four different lantern batteries.
What of Ion?
Ion? Lantern Sodam Yat contained Ion and he flew into the Sun of Daxam! Ion was destoryed!
Is it possible that the Ion force stored itself into a ring in case of it's death?
It is probable. We will have to attempt to draw it out.
The Guardians circled around the ring and held their arms out streched towards it. They began muttering in an ancient dialect. The ring soon rose into the air and a single puff of energy separated itself from the ring. It formed into a small catfish creature and mewed softly at the Guardians as it opened it's eyes.
"What... is that?" Hal asked as he and Alex moved forward.
Lanterns what you have just witnessed is the rebirth of Ion. It may take ages for it to grow into it's full state but it is alive still.

((Hmmm gotta think of what to do with Donna))

Alex listened as each of the guardians spoke. Then watched as they did something with her ring. When she witnessed the small green fish like thing leave her ring she pretty much repeated what Hal said "What is that?" But her answer was soon given to her as her eyes widened "Ion? You mean he... she... it... is in my ring? What does this mean?" she was stumped. This was something that she had not heard about while in the Lantern academy but she did know who Ion was for it was Ion that gave the lanterns their power. "Wait Ion died before now?"

Kara looked at him with a smir and took the bar from him heating it with her heat vision then straughtening it out flawlessly. She put it back down on the ground as it cooled and said "Try again... this time try it gently"

"Wow..." Jay said, admiringly. "So that's what those rays do. That's quite a trick." Gingerly, he tried again to pick up the bar. This time he succeeded, at least partly, but the bar slipped once again from his fingers. He sighed, muttering a mild curse in Kryptonian, and tried again. It seemed the old human expression was correct, because this time he picked it up without difficulty. "You wouldn't think it would be so hard." He remarked dryly.

"You'd think... but even without powers a kryptonian is still naturally stronger then a human. because of our naturally dense body structure. Now what I want you to do is try to lift something fragile up with out breaking it. Like glass... or bread. I'd suggest starting with bread... at least if you break bread you can eat it... but for now we'll say that is successful. Okay now let's see... you are descnded from kryptonians so... let's see if you can do super breath" Then she looked around and judged that this might not be the best place to do it. "Okay scratch the super breath for now... at least up here." She thought for a minute "Hmmm okay let's give your gravity powers a whirl" she pointed to the excercise ball still laying where it was "Remember how the muscles in your hand felt and apply that to whatever muscles are needed to lift the ball and pop it"

It WAS in your ring, child. It fractionated a piece of itself in that ring as insurance. There is no more time for questions, child. Her ring slowly levitated back onto her finger. You are dismissed Lanterns. Hal and Alex turned to leave.

((I was kinda hoping it would stay with her ring ><))

Alex looked up at the elders and still had a few questions as she took her ring "But elders how did Ion end up in my ring?" He head was full of questions but this was at the fore of her questions

Jay looked at her dubiously, but shrugged. He had asked her to help teach him, after all. Once again making a cupping gesture with his hands, he focused his attention on the ball. Tensing the muscles that seemed to regulate his powers slightly, he fanned out his fingers and made a gesture like squeezing the air. Thinking of how he had put too much force in one place when he tried to lift the bar, he worked on controlling his breathing, and carefully pulling his muscles tense. The ball bobbled for a moment, looking ready to go bounding off again, but then burst with an oddly satisfying bang. "It's a start." He said, his uncertainty making the words almost a question. A light sweat had broken over his forehead, and he realized he was feeling hungry again. Apparently, it took real effort to alter gravity, and his body wasn't yet used to the strain.

Kara looked at Jay and nodded "It's a start but you have a long way to go" Kara heard his stomach growl and looked at him "Let's head over to the cafeteria and grab a couple burritos... you'll love them high in energy but also high in gas" she wave her hand in front of her face. "Best to make sure you chew them real well so it doesn't hit you as hard otherwise you'l be blowing a hole in your seat." she smirked a bit.

The Guardians looked back down at her.
Child, we do not have time to quell your every curiosity!
We, can not answer any more of these questions, child, we have a new Ion entity to nurture.
The catfish-like Ion swam back towards Alex and wrapped around her ring.
What is this? the Guardians murmured amongst themselves for a few minutes.
It is the decision of the Guardians that the Ion force will thrive off the energy of the ring. It shall remain in the ring for now.

Alex looked at the small green fish that disappeared into her ring and pondered a second and then looked at the council as they spoke. "So Ion is mine?" She didn't entirely comprehend this which is why she is always questioning things. To alot of people it could become tiresome but very few had the patience to deal with her questions. "How am I to care for an almighty being in it larval stages? And why has it chosen my ring?" again more questions that were sure to annoy the council being as busy as they were. "Does this also mean that his power is added to mine? Also..." it seemed her questions wouldn't end.

Hal saw the looks of impatience on the guardian's faces. He quickly took Alex by the shoulder and lightly pushed her out the door. "You can ask me whatever you want on the way home, just lets leave the Guardians alone for now ok?" He said.

Alex was pushed out of the door by Hal. They hadn't answered her questions. It was probably a good idead that he'd pulled her out of there though before she did. "Thank you Hal... but I dont understand... why would Ion choose me... I am sure there are more capable Lanterns then me. Like one of the guardians maybe." She wasn't so sure but it seemed like her answer was answered as a voice was heard in her head. It sounded authoritative but at the same time reassuring. <Lantern Al'xand'r you have the possibility of becoming a powerful Lantern. That is the reason I chose you>. Alex looked around and spoke out "Whos said that?"

Jay coughed, a surprisingly human gesture, and his face colored. He tried to ignore the crude Earth humor. At least, he hoped it was mere humor. Considering the way in which the solid metal bar had bent when he had fumbled in trying to pick it up, he realized there was at least half a chance that what she said was no jest, but sound and practical advice. He decided that he had best take it as such. If at all possible, he would look for something other than these "high-gas" burritos to satisfy his need for sustenance. Perhaps more of the foods he had tried earlier. His stomach growled once more, and he mentally amended the decision to include an extra-large helping, as much as he could eat, followed by more training to burn off any excess afterward.
